Tried to book an appointment. Left messages. Never heard back. Went to the store to talk with the tech. He was unfriendly and seemed to doubt my call ever happened. I was able to get a walk in appointment with another tech person, but he was also completely unfriendly and did not want to engage in a conversation about the job he was performing on my car. I will not be returning.

Car keys were stolen and needed to get replacement keys for a 2002 Lexus. Dealer prices stated anywhere over three hundred bucks for a key and I had to tow to the location to get the service. The guys at East Coast showed up at my door within an hour of me making the call, and had me up and running within two hours. For the same price the dealer quoted they left me with a remote key and a chipped backup. Super happy with their service.

The unthinkable happened, we lost the only key to our car! Luckily we had a key to turn on the power, just didn't turn in the ignition. East Coast Chip Keys came to our car in Cambridge and within a half hour, we had three keys made for an incredibly reasonable price. The car is 10+ years old so the Ford Dealer didn't even have the key code on record, but East Coast Chip Keys does. They'll even keep our key on record in case the unthinkable happens again. Excellent service. Kind, quick and efficient.

First off let me just say that before I found Tim and East Coast Chip Keys, I had been put through the ringer with a number of other "so called" automotive locksmiths. Little did I know that there are a bunch of "Scammer" locksmiths out there, that are all intertwined in some way or another and they gave me a very hard time with no help. I was about to give up and go to the dealership, (which is extremely overpriced) when I found Tim via Google. Tim was extremely helpful and knowledgable! He answered my call at 9pm on a Wednesday and was at my house within 45 minutes to solve my problems. He was able to program and cut new keys right on sight and did it in a very timely fashion. This guy knows customer service and knows exactly what he is doing. I was happy with the level of service as well as the price. Could not recommend this guy highly enough.

Very satisfied. These guys do what they say they will and are honest. They showed up SAME DAY I called for an emergency (no keys for my truck) and charged me half of the original quote since they found a way to save me money. They could have easily taken me to the cleaners but instead they were honest. I'm telling everyone I can. Price was literally 25% of what my dealer wanted to charge me which baffles me, but I'm happy. Call these guys.

If i could leave zero stars i would. I had called regarding getting a key made for my car, unfortunately i lost the only key i had. I had called early in the morning and got an estimate quote before entering work and let them know I would be calling back after work. which i did but this time when i asked if i could only get one key made instead of the two which was the only option they had gave me he answered with an awful tone that the two were already included. I asked about the quote again since i didnt really recall the exact price he gave me so i could go withdrawal the money he yelled on the phone "if you are just calling around trying to get the cheapest price available I already gave you the quote i am not giving it again!" i explained i was at work and needed to know the price again and he hanged up. All i have to say is worst customer service ever. There is no reason he should have assumed anything in the first place second talk to a potential customer in that way.

My niece was in town visiting and I saw that her car key was duct taped together. We decided to make it a point to get the key fixed. We called the dealer and for the bargain price of about $200 they would fix it. We looked at other options since for a 2003 car, this was too much money to spend. I called a locksmith who also gave a very high quote. I found East Coast Chip Keys while looking on the internet. We decided to drive over and see what they could do. Within 15 minutes of walking into the shop, my niece had a new key at a fraction of the price. The young gentleman we dealt with was beyond helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Since we left the shop, we have already told a handful of people about their services, and gave high recommendations!! If I could give them 10 stars I would!

I called on a Saturday afternoon to get some spare keys for my car. I got an appointment for later the same day. They duplicated my keys and tested them quickly. The total bill was exactly what they quoted, which was less than half of what the dealer wanted. In response to some other reviews, I agree that the gentleman who answered the phone wasn't exactly cheerful but he wasn't rude or anything. I would recommend this place to friends and co-workers. I have their number in my phone in case I get locked out of my house or car.

Excellent job - mysteriously lost my all keys last weekend, including my only car key! East Coast Chip Keys was prompt to communicate with me, and came out to my apartment in UNDER three minutes to make a replacement. Fast forward to this week, found my original key, and their excellent staff is able to reprogram it so both keys will work with the car. Highly reccomended!

I went there to get a spare smart key (the type that wirelessly enables the car to start without insertion into an ignition key slot) for my 2008 Toyota Highlander. I bought my vehicle used off warranty and it came with only one key. Toyota dealerships wanted about $500 for an additional key and I wanted to see if there were more affordable options to getting a replacement key. I decided to try this auto locksmith based on the previous positive reviews on google, and I can vouch that Tim (the locksmith that helped me) provided good service and a very good deal ($170 total for the spare smart key, programming, and troubleshooting). Normally the process to reprogram the smart key takes about 20 minutes, but it took a bit longer because it was discovered that there was a problem with my ignition system - Despite the issue, Tim's in-depth knowledge diagnosed and figured out the fix (he took apart the area under the steering column to get to the problematic wires) and was finally able to program the new smart key for me. (For those who are curious about the technical details - Tim found that my car was originally equipped with a remote keyless starter which had been improperly removed and some of the wiring wasn't put back the way it was preventing a new smart key from being programmed for the vehicle) I've witnessed first hand how dedicated Tim is to making his customers happy and I would highly recommend his business to others.

These folks were fantastic! They programmed a key for my 2018 Honda Civic without an appointment and at about half the price I was quoted by another locksmith. Andy helped me and he was quick and professional. They have all the keys and remotes you might need right there, plus the expertise to program and cut them on the spot. When they realized the remote I got online was for the wrong version of my car (I have a hatchback) they were nice enough to just trade me the right remote for mine at no extra cost, which saved me loads of extra work and shipping fees. I would definitely recommend this shop for any auto locksmith needs.

If you need your car keys duplicated or reprogrammed, talk to Tim at East Coast Chip Keys. He's your man. My wife's car keys were stolen the other day, meaning that both her car AND mine were at risk. Ray of RF Locks -- hat's off to you, Ray! -- pointed me to Tim, who took care of BOTH cars that same day. He reprogrammed each car (so that the stolen keys would no longer work), reset my keys, and provided two new keys each (one for my wife and one spare) -- all for under $200 per car. (The dealers, I believe, would have charged me something like $750 per car for the same thing.) In each case, we were done within twenty minutes. Hopefully I won't need Tim's services again for a while. But if I need new car keys, he's the one I'll use -- period.
