Great experience. I called on a Sunday and unlike most "24 hour" services, they picked up immediately and got the process started. A technician was at our place in less than an hour after the first call was placed and the issue was resolved in less than 15 minutes. The communication throughout the process was timely, informative and professional. While I'm not looking forward to my next lock-related issue, if I do I will certainly use Bursky's services again.

Stay away from these guys. We had a broken deadbolt on our front door and Bursky came 3 days later to attempt to fix the lock. First, they showed up 2 hours late for the appointment. Then, instead of fixing the broken deadbolt they simply replaced the lock. They told us we were getting a "medium security" lock. We looked it up online and the lock they installed costs $9.97 and it's definitely not "medium security." The service call took about 5 minutes and they charged us $425. What a rip-off. Save your money and order something online, these guys are unable to actually fix your lock and markup cheap hardware by 40x. We called their dispatch several times to get a manager to help fix the situation. They offered several false promises and excuses, and even no-showed on a follow up appointment to come look into the problem. 2 months later, I'm giving up In summary: they show up late (or not at all), misrepresent their products, over charge, and can't actually fix locks.

Bursky was quick, easy, and focused on customer service. They called me back several times to ensure the technician got in touch with me for scheduling. They called afterwards to ensure I was satisfied with the visit. The tech himself was quick, knowledgeable, and friendly. My only suggestion is to discuss pricing upfront as I was a bit surprised with the total cost of the job, but nonetheless pleased with the service.

As I saw in others' reviews, I was very impressed with Bursky Locksmith across the board when I locked myself out of my apt without keys. They were very responsive and fast. The 3 phone calls that I got from the central office to make sure I had made contact with the technician, that he arrived and that he was successful really helped. The technician was incredibly professional, competent, explained the options and strategy clearly and got me back in my apartment quickly without damaging the lock (which would have been plan B). I recommend Bursky to anyone that needs this kind of emergency help - I rarely run into companies that have nurtured this obvious dedication to real customer service from top to bottom. I'll definitely use them again myself.

They were available as soon as 20min from my call. I did not need emergency services but was able to have a very pleasant and professional technician come by on the same day. My lock broke to my apartment door, and I called Bursky Locksmith right away to let them know what had happened. I didn't end up needing emergency services that night, but I scheduled a time for them to come early the following morning and fix the locks. I had lost my keys in Boston common, and had to call to have a key made for my car, as the key I lost was my spare. They were polite on the phone and able to answer every question right away. They called with an ETA, and ever tried to find someone who could make it there sooner. Luckily I found my keys, and had to call and cancel, and I was afraid they might be mad but the guy I spoke with was very happy. Overall great experience, many people you speak with over the phone are very rude don’t have any customer service skills, but that is not the case with this place.

TLDR: A little disorganized but honest hardworking folks that got the job done cheaply. edit: So after having this experience, a manager reached out to me in hopes of making amends to the situation, which shows the company's commitment to making their service easy to use. I was offered a partial reimbursement to bring down the original price from $140 to $90, which was in my expected budget, and eventually due to a slightly delayed return process, they gave me back 75$, making the service one the cheapest I found in the area. Getting the reimbursement back was a little bit of headache, but ultimately it was done, and i am confident that the folks working at this company are honest hardworking people not looking to screw strangers over on the internet. I bumped them up to 4 stars and would suggest other work with this business. They'd be a 5 star company if they used this experience with me to streamline the process for their future customers. Best of luck to the group in the future. Original Comment: Got the job done ultimately, but they're not clear with you that they're just a contractor for free lance folks. Guy came very quickly which was a plus, and the owner checked in with me frequently to make sure it's going smoothly to both of their credit. However, it was extremely expensive. Prices were not clear from the get go, and even when I'd been asking for clarification i got specious answers. When just some random guy showed up with a grinder to cut my ulock, he initally asked me for roughly 200$ + the service fee of 35$. I had been expecting a bill around 90-120$ from the research i did elsewhere and what the guy (i suspect from high frequency of posts on this page the owner) on the inital phone call had led me to believe. We settled on $140 (including service fee) cash, which was higher than expected, but not as outlandish as the initial pitch. I found this behavior quite deceptive because you're incentivized to get a poor job done once you finally meet the individual because they'll insist on you paying the 35$ service charge regardless of if that person has the tools or the desired rates to complete the task. But ultimately the lock is off my bike, with the expected amount of damage to my bike, so at least thats handled.
