Not easy to find a dependable place to make car keys with a chip in them. One either pays dealer price to have it made right or something doesn't work. Brighton Locksmith is a rare gem of a place, they make all sorts of keys and do a great job for less than half of what a dealership would charge. Plus, it's a family owned business, very friendly, and a good selection of harware for a small shop.

I locked my key fob in my car and contacted them to assist me. The whole experience was beyond exceptional! He showed up within 10 minutes of my call and got the car opened on the first try (I had called AAA the night before when it first happened and after they tried multiple times I cancelled them because my car alarm of course went off the whole time he was trying). After getting the car open he asked how/why I locked myself out with the key fob and I mentioned the battery was dead. He immediately said if I followed him to his shop he would replace the battery. Since I am from out of town and here visiting friends this was very helpful. We went to his shop where he replaced my battery, gave me a spare, showed me how to open the fob so I didn't break it if changing the battery in the future, and lastly verified it worked again on my car. He was so kind and helpful and embodied what amazing customer service is. He made my day, not just because he unlocked my car, but because he accomplished it quickly and went above and beyond to help me to keep it from happening again by replacing my battery. I can't say thank-you enough!

Outstanding service! Very courteous and helpful. I had to make duplicate keys from blank Honda key shells. They gave me the information and price on the phone. Making the Honda key from original is hard as it takes 2-3 attempts to get it precisely fitting. Both husband and wife worked very patiently to make sure that new keys were working on both ignition and doors of the car. Husband in person checked that both keys worked in all cases. The price was very reasonable as well. I would highly recommend this locksmith to anyone I know.

Great service and friendly place! I needed a mortise cylinder to match a specific keyway entry. Called a number of places, not many stores carry it or not open during off-business hours. The owners at Brighton locks were so friendly when I went to pick it up. They treat every customer as their friend and the prices are very reasonable compare to others. Highly recommend! I know where I will go next time when I have a lock/key problem.

We forgot our keys inside the house. We called them and they asked for 85 dollars which much cheaper that other shops. After that, they came and opened the door and charged us 50 dollars. They are amazing and so honest. We need more people in America like them. Thanks alot!!!

My co-worker and I have been here a few times altogether. Brian is super helpful and courteous! If there is a sign on the door saying "Be right back," it means he is helping someone test out their automotive key. Apparently, it involves bringing a little computer and lots of jiggling of the old and new key.

You can immediately tell that these are genuine people. I'm ecstatic that it was less than half price to cut and program a couple of keys for my car compared to any other place I contacted. I tried dozens of places and the lowest price was 150 and it came with conditions. This place was friendly and quoted me correctly over the phone. Service was fast. Unlike Bursky's the guy who answered spoke to me with the up most respect and inside of asking me for my address and trying to type it in the computer he had asked me to text it to him and called back and said he is sending a tech out asap and he gave me a quote and I told him how much I got in my pocket and he said worse case they can fix my igniton or replace it for what I got in my pocket! So, far I am pleased with them! I am going to edit this when the service is done! **update** They sent the guy out to see what was the problem and the guy was able to fix it in less then 30 minutes and Im back on the road! He didnt have to replace nothing! Im happy they got to me quickly! **Update #2* The only problem is the guy who came out to fix my ignition said the office will send me a receipt via email an its Feb! Still no receipt! Now since Im back in Boston for the day Im going to drive there and get one! The guy who did the work claims he does not give them out!

Great service and a perfect cut of some keys I had got online. Several dealerships had refused to cut them because I hadn't bought from them. Another hardware store had messed up the cut before that on a dealership key, so I was getting near my limit. Ishak got me squared away in ten or fifteen minutes, even offering to stay briefly after close to do the fob programming. I'll definitely be going here from now on.

I can't say enough good things about this shop. I have stopped by many times to ask for sometimes obscure things. They seem to have everything even though the store is very small. If they didn't have something they gave good advice for how to find it. Best of all, the owners LOANED me a stud finder which I needed for a project. This saved me considerable expense and I was able to complete a project that hadn't been going well very easily. Try them out; a friendly alternative to the big box stores.

we had two old, tired, barely functioning lock cylinders replaced and 8 new keys made. this work was done on a Sunday morning at our house, after my having called the shop the day before. the new locks and keys are perfect. the price was given up front before the work was done and seemed to me very fair. We needed to get a keyless entry fob programmed for our 2010 Toyota Rav4 - a purportedly difficult and expensive task if done through the dealership. Not only was the owner able to program the key, he did it swiftly and affordably. They were so kind and welcoming. I went to Home Depot TWICE and both times my "new" house key would not work for my door. I ended up going to Brighton Lock and Hardware and he made me a key that worked and even fixed the key I made at Home Depot. The man at the shop was funny and quick. Top notch place

Well...had an "emergency" which is typically when you find yourself calling a locksmith! And you also typically then prepare yourself to be utterly taken advantage of in a time of need with a ludicrous bill. Well...this was an atypical experience. It's a family business and a perfect example of proud immigrants (originally from Turkey) working hard and running an honest family business. "Mrs." answered the phone and put "Mr." in the phone. He listened to my need for a new coded key to be cut, delivered and then programmed on-site to work around the set of keys I left in a hotel on the West Coast last night. 1. He immediately provided me with some guidance in obtaining a security code he needed from my vehicle manufacturer which saved me around $100 or more. The software he owns is a fee-for-service licensing and there's no getting around the fees if he needs to get that code himself. 2. Fortunately we live very close to their shop...but regardless he was at my building in under 10 minutes. 3. He was polite and gracious upon arrival, drive down into my garage and parked near my vehicle. Both of the two keys he had pre-cut at his shop (rather wuickly!) worked driver and passenger doors and ignition easily and on the first shot. You know that frustrating and annoyed feeling you get when you get home from (insert large hardware store name) and the new keys you bought don't work? Well these worked. Probably because he's an experienced locksmith with 14 years in business. 4. It took him merely 10 minutes to program both keys and he was quite competent in setting his equipment up and plugging in to my vehicle's computer. 5. He has Mobil payment on his smart phone and accepts every credit card and every other form of payment possible. How rare is this? When you'd like to use your Amex and have no choice but to use either cash, debit or a MC/Visa you really don't want to use. They are sacrificing twice the CC fees by accepting my Amex yet he was gracious regardless. 6. When I asked him if I could swing by his shop later to have a duplicate set of house keys made to get me by, he offered to do this for no charge just to be nice. 7. All in all I got 2 new vehicle chip keys, 2 house keys and a mailbox key with home service call for what is probably 1/2 the price of a single key from the vehicle dealer and he was nice about it! Why would you possibly not call these lovely people if you find yourself needing an emergency locksmith or even just routine lockset and key work? First time I've ever felt "good" about an emergency locksmith service!

needed to get a special aftermarket flip key cut for my car, no one else would take the job. These guys did it no problem for 20$. they proceeded to help me program a new key. Great guys who make sure you walk out happy. Some people will say that 3$ to get a house key cut there is a lot, but they will do everything right.

I came here over a week ago to have my keyfob programmed and an extra key made. I must say that the customer service at this little mom and pop hardware store is beyond exceptional! They work hard to retain your business. The shop owners are very friendly people and hard working. The only draw back as with most hardwares stores on main streets is the parking. For this small of a store they have a larger breadth of items than you might think. They are very helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to see to it, that you have what you need.

I used to get keys copied at Home Depot... Never again. I always have to wander around looking for an employee to help and it takes forever. Here I walked right in, got two copies in seriously like 30 seconds, and it was crazy cheap. Talk about service with care? That's the place. I had to get my car key repaired as the battery licked and I couldn't open it to replace the battery. They not only fixed my key but went above and beyond by helping me fix my trunk lock which was stuck for few months (I was only able to open my trunk from inside the car before that). In addition, I only had one key when I first got my car so they advised me it's a good idea to get a spare one as the cost if I lose my single key would be enormous. I really appreciate their help and the service with care I received. I recommend this business to everyone.
