It was an old discontinued lock, and after spending time online and talking to local locksmiths, I reached David with D&A. He suggested some diagnostics and as a result I was able to fix the old lock. I will call him for any future lock issues.

I give this company no stars. Contacted them in the early morning hours as they are a 24/hour company and I was locked out of my bathroom. They said a technician would be there in 20 minutes. Half an hour later, they said they didn't know I needed a technician immediately but would send one out right away. One hour later, they said I needed to be patient, they could not reach anyone. At no point did they call me and even started hanging up on me at one point. Don't waste your time with calling this company.

I just wanted to relay my experience with D&A 24/7 locksmiths. The doornob on my bedroom door was mangled. Someone took a hammer and tried to break in. The damage done was terrible. The knob was pulled 5 inches from the door, the hole around the knob was 3 inches wider than it should be and the door still wouldn't open. I was looking at replacing the door, but Quannel, the D&A locksmith was able to open the door, replace the doornob looking almost good as new. He was professional and worked quickly and efficiently. I truly appreciate his service this afternoon. It was a lifesaver -Muriel

Definitely seemed like a racket to me. Called to have my '97 GMC pickup door unlocked. Was quoted $29 for the service call and then told that the fee to unlock the door started at $45 would vary based on what type of lock it was and what was required to open it. When the technician arrived he said that because it was a truck it was considered in the "SUV category" and it would cost $139 plus the $29 service fee to unlock. The "technique" he used to open the door resulted in scraping the paint off the door frame and I could have accomplished it myself with a $10 steel bar from the hardware store. There couldn’t be a simpler lock setup than the one on my truck so the change in explanation of the fee from relating to the complexity of the lock to the category of the vehicle was completely dishonest. After up-charging me $100 and scratching my door he even had the courage to ask for a tip. Unbelievably unprofessional service. STEER CLEAR and go with a more reputable company.

In the process of renovating my home I had given out my keys and found one of the workers enter my house without permission! So I immediately look for a locksmith to change all locks quick. My purse was stolen last night so I needed a locksmith to get back into my apartment. Over the phone, these folks told me that their prices started around $70-$90. When the locksmith showed up 45 minutes later, he told me it was instead $250 to unlock my door--which took all of 30 seconds. It was late, and I was exhausted, so I did it. They were capitalizing on that, and give you lower prices over the phone to get you to agree to have someone come out. Incredibly predatory. Use a different locksmith.
