Friendly customer service, but if you are trying to get a key cut for a newer model car (for example GM) you will pay 50 damn dollars. It only takes them less than a minute to cut a key and they charge that much. Ridiculous. Don't lose your keys like I did

After numerous trips to Home Depot and Sears due to duplicate keys not working, I was lucky to find Baldino's in Gaithersburg. The keys from Baldino's work perfectly every time. This is the only place I will go to have keys made from now on.

A few delivery issues initially. If buying a liberty safe make sure to have them include delivery inside or else your paying BIG bucks for it after the fact. For my one week old safe I bought from them, I asked what it would cost to go ahead and move it inside... over $850 to move a $600 Liberty centurion. $350 service call charge and $15 per step.

I went to Baldino's to get a couple of electronic locks rekeyed. One came back fine and the other worked manually, but the electronic part wasn't working properly. I returned to get this resolved and Bonnie worked diligently to make sure that the lock was working correctly (she determined it was the fault of the manufacturer). Bonnie made sure that the lock was fixed quickly and everything was communicated perfectly. Thanks again!

I went to Lowes to get keys cut. That was my first mistake. Called Baldino's and after they reassured me that they could cut the keys that I had I drove over. Walked in the door and two minutes later had my keys cut. Service was fast, inexpensive, and most importantly polite... unlike the "customer service" at Lowes.

Bonnie was amazing in helping me cut a copy of CubeSmart lock key. I know it was a difficult cut due to my attempts with kiosks and visits to hardware stores. After managing to bring the lock in with a loaner lock from Bonnie, she was able to make me a copy that worked better than the original! Thanks Bonnie!

I needed a key for a 1995 Toyota, but one of those duplication machines didn't have the blank, a big-box hardware store had blanks that were too thick, and even the Toyota dealer said it would take a week (?!) to get new blanks. Instead, I called up Baldino's Gaithersburg, headed down over lunch, and the super friendly staff had it copied in a few minutes. Thanks!

I needed a spare key made for my 2007 Honda Accord SE that I bought used with only one key. Because I didn't want to pay dealer prices, I started an on-line search for a locksmith in Gaithersburg, Maryland area because I had errands and appointments in that area. After reading the reviews of several Locksmiths I chose Baldino's Lock & Key in the Walnut shopping center. What I can first tell you is that Bonnie (the store manager) is great. She is knowledgable, personable, and expedient. I purchased an online key fob blank but it didn't come with a battery (what the heck!). Anyway , Bonnie quickly cut and programmed my new key, and I would have been easily out in less than 15 min if in were not for having to install a battery as well a retry programming the key fob. Bonnie went above and beyond in our transaction. I definitely recommend Baldino's in Gaithersburg.

Luckily when we called Baldino's, a lady answered the phone and she assured me that she will be able and available to perform the service for us. A Fantastic Automotive Key Resource!! I'll start by saying what everyone else is saying - Bonnie is exceptional in terms of customer service and experience. The guys that work there are also very helpful and respectful. What most people dont know, however, is that Bonnie made Baldinos in Gaithersburg the go-to place for automotive key service. I brought my own key and needed it cut and the transponder programmed, and Bonnie did it in less than ten minutes at a better price than the dealership charges. You can also come in to get advice on how to program it yourself for older models without immobilizers. in my case, I needed special equipment. Worth every penny.

Talk about experience. Bonnie really knows locks. We have been to her shop for various locks and keys and every time she has been on point! From re-keying locks to cutting keys. All I can say is Thank you Home Depot for not cutting keys correctly most of the time (personal experience). That's what drove me to Baldino's Most importantly, they will advise what's best for you in terms of the best solution to your problem. even if it means less money for them.
