Normally I don’t post online review, but John from Pop-A-Lock was great. My roadside assistant assigned some shady tow servicing at first and he ended being a no show. They would later called Pop-A-Lock and they arrived less than 40 mins (it was late in the evening and raining.) John was professional and noticed my spare tire was low on air and promptly filled it back up and changed my tire in less than 10 mins. Thank you for saving the evening for me.

Was very disappointed with this. Usually use them through my job and they are usually decent. They dropped the ball this time when i got locked out my house. Was told a technician was going to call me in 10-15 minutes but never did. Called back and got the same answer and still no callback. After I got scheduled waited and additional hour plus (40 min past what I was told), a technician called to assure me it would only be 10 more min. I don’t write many bad reviews, but this one is well deserved. My company has used pop- a- lock before and we were satisfied enough with the service( got tenants locked out of a house with smart lock, first guy couldn’t open the lock so his boss or coworker came, showed him how and opened it- much appreciate even though we waited). Last night around 8:30 pm we had same situation with another house. I called them, the dispatch was very nice, took my information and said it will be 45min to an hour wait- ok it is Friday night and even 24/7 h services take time. I get a call 10 min later from the person who supposed to come and I get asked 1000 questions. “What kind of lock it is? “I answered.” This Kind can not be opened “ What? Yes it can your company did it a few weeks ago and if you can’t open it you can drill it and open it.! The person continued to be rude and argue with me saying he/ she does that for 25 years and knows etc, then asking if I have any bills that can link me to the address (?) After I explained my company owns the house and bills are under company name the interrogation continues with “ the company is not named after you ? How can you prove you live there?” What?? I just explained what I can show and how I am connected to the house . So I ask if the person is coming to unlock the door or not and without clear answer he / she ( couldn’t tell from the voice and there was no introduction when called) continues telling me that this is because there are a lot of people out there you know, crazy girlfriends situations and such and he / she doesn’t want to go to jail etc. So 8 min of rudeness later and clearly the technician did not want to come I ask if they are coming and another load of rude excuses and accusations I hung up . Called the dispatch to ask them to send someone else - the dispatch could not pull my order , her screen “ froze” she couldn’t check and tells me to call back and hangs up on me. At this point is 9:30 pm and we just called someone else who came and open the door in 30 min with a smile. Very unprofessional Pop-a-lock. Very disappointed of the unprovoked attitude of the person who was supposed to come help us in already stressful situation. All locks can be opened with the right tools.

The technician arrived very quickly. However, he was one of the rudest people that I have ever encountered. I am a very friendly person and tried my best to be kind to him and he was having none of it. He continued to be very rude and condescending to me. He complained about everything he had to do and my lock on my door. When I told him that I had a regular key that I used on a daily basis, he made a very rude comment stating, “since you are a professional locksmith and all then of course you know everything.” All I said was that my key that I use daily worked fine in my lock. He wanted me to get a whole new lock. I would recommend Pop a Lock to someone in need but you definitely need to replace this man. I would not use him again if he ever came back. His employee number is 3105.

We are here in NOLA for vacation and called this place to get an estimate for how much it would be to get our car unlocked and to possibly make us a replacement key. We ended up getting the car unlocked by them and then called them the next day wanting to go ahead and get a replacement key and the guy on the phone was beyond rude. He asked "How much money do you even have, noone around here is going to help you make a key. You're husband keeps calling and noone around here is going to make your key." And then he hung up. My friend who called isn't even married so we have no clue what he was referring to but if that's how they want to do business and they don't want people calling them... probably best to consider someone who wants and appreciates your business.

I called roadside assistance and they contacted them and they cancelled. Why did we have to call? They were timely and nice, but the key they made was very basic. It couldn’t even get me in the door of my car the next morning. When I called to tell them the issue, the receptionist told me “I only bought a key for the ignition, not the door” ..... just no. That should have been disclosed when I paid $200 for a “car key.” They fixed the error, but not until I was an hour late for work and $20 extra in the hole for the Ubers I had to take. TEST YOUR KEYS on both the ignition and the door!

The pop-a-lock rep said he would reach me in 15 min and he arrived when he said he would. I was thrilled since I was in an empty parking lot at almost 10 pm with my two daughters. He was very nice and I could tell he knew his stuff with my “high security” car. (That’s what Triple A called it.) I breathed a huge sigh of relief when he was able to quickly get into my car for me to retrieve my keys.

Overall, my experience was very good. I especially appreciated the text which gave me a link to see the location of the technician from my location. I also appreciated being able to see a picture of the tech and his automobile along with his name. This made me feel a lot more at ease, especially since I was in a large city away from my home. I was eating lunch and came out to a flat tire. I called for assistance and was told that it would be 40min to an hour before the guy would get to me. It only took him 15 minutes to get to me.
