Friday, my car key was stolen, and my car was broken into. I needed a key that would start my car. I spoke to, Steve, over the phone, and explained the situation. He said he had the key in stock. So, he sent a guy out to me. The key he had did not work. The guy then calls Steve, and chats with him. After the chat, the guy sits in his van for awhile. I thought he was searching for the right key. He comes back, and the key unlocks my already open doors, but does not work to start my car. I tell him again I don't need that key, because it does not start my car. He says, "how about you pay me $70, because I already made this key." I told him again I need a key to start my car. He steps aside and calls his manager again. Comes back and say, " I'm sorry I have to make you pay for this key. It's $135. I don't own this company, and can't leave until you pay."
I'm a 28 year old single woman, who lives in a small camper. I dont make a lot of money. Mo of the time just making it pay check to pay check. I had $150 to my name to last me until my next pay check. I work hard. I'm kind hearted. These people I feel like took advantage of a young woman alone.
I paid for the key, because I felt like I had no choice. When he tried to hand he the key. I told him one last time "thats not the key I needed." He left me crying on my doorstep, and took money for a service I did not ask for.
If you can go anywhere for a service they provide, I strongly suggest it.
Response to their post:
I was quoted for a key that would start my car. 135, yes. The key they wanted to give me did not start my car. I did not throw the key. I never even touched it. They only made one trip to me.The guy said it was a chipped key and made me pay 135 and it did not start my car. The words $200 were never spoken to me.This guy even went as far texting me to get this review changed. I posted a picture of our texts, and he deleted.
