This company is ran by a middle aged boyfriend/girlfriend combo thinking they're the first people to buy a slim jim and pop open people's cars for $20. 1 google ad campaign later and you're thinking it's a trusted company too. They're website says up and down they won't change the price on you either and even compares themselves to competitors that do; what's there to lose? Problem is as everyone else says, they won't do it for $19. First thing they want is $19 for coming there and if you refuse to give it to them or point out loopholes in their logic, they will threaten to put a lean on your car (yeah.. for $19) and start snapping pictures like you did something wrong. It'll end with being yelled at, threatened, being followed to your door screaming and beating on it after you stopped talking and went inside minutes ago. Rude is an understatement, incompetent thieves is more appropriate. They were the 2nd person I called and I ended up getting it done for $40. I don't need to get yelled at and threatened after work just trying to help a friend out. This was no mistake; this IS the company I dealt with. Just look for the bleached blonde bimbo running it.

SCAM!!!!!! BEWARE!!! IMG_0369.JPG I locked my door knob before walking out of my house, and left my keys inside, so I called this locksmith. He showed up in an unmarked vehicle was very unprofessional! He told me that he was going to try two different ways to get in through the side of the door and by drilling through the lock, first he started trying to get in through the side of the door by jamming a screwdriver in my door. After about 10 minutes of him jamming the screwdriver through my door he finally got in and I was very upset about the damage. and he told me in a very rude way, that I was aware that there was going to be damage; when I was not! He then threatend to call the police on me if I didn't pay him. After calling the company multiple times finally getting through to the owner, the owner, who barley spoke English ALSO, told me his name was "John Smith" and that there is nothing he could do since I gave the guy that came out the "OK" to damage my door. He then proceeded to tell me he was going to file a complaint on me?! I feel very violated because he just broke into my house he did not use any sort of picking mechanism, and was extremely mouthy and rude to me when he was finished. After this incident, I looked up the reviews and I realized… I was just scamed. I then drove to their business which on the website says 333 N. Alabama St., and even walked around trying to find it there's no such address!!! I will be taking this to small claims ASAP.

The worst locksmith service by far! Please spare yourself! The guy that answers the phone barely speaks English. Then quotes a price of $19 to pull up and $45 to unlock a knob. Then a technician calls and says he has to look at it to give a price. Then an hour later no one shows. I call back and the guy says $150 flat rate charge. I don't know what kind of business they are running but I would never do business with this place. #totalyunproffessional

I was absolutely appalled by the service I received today. I have never been treated with more disrespect and dishonesty. I was grocery shopping with my 10-month old baby and locked my keys, wallet, and phone in the car. I was able to use the phone at the grocery store to call and was directed to Locksmith Indy. On the phone, I was told it would be $75 to unlock my car door and that someone would be there in 20-30 minutes. No one showed up until 2 HOURS later. He unlocked my car in about 30 seconds and then told me it would be $150! I broke down in tears! I am pregnant, have a 10-month old baby who hasn't eaten in 5 hours and is exhausted, waited at the store for an hour and a half longer than what I was told, and now he was asking for double what I was quoted over the phone! He kept saying, "don't cry, don't cry," and said that there was a service fee, a fee for labor (30 seconds to open the door??) and that this information was on the website... Bawling, I told him I was not going to argue, that I needed to go home and feed my kid and put her to bed, to let me go home and charge whatever he wanted to charge! He said, "as long as you don't cry and use our services again." WHAT? Absolutely not! Eventually, he charged me the $75- I'm guessing he felt guilty. When I got home, I looked on their website- the only mention of a service fee is a $19 service fee to assess the situation of the locked car... so I have no idea where he got $150 from.

Will never recomend this company. I Call ed them to rekey 2 locks. Told them i needed 3 keys for one lock that said do not duplicate on them, and normal keys for the other for the company i work for. The tech calls and says he will be there between 1 and 2. Calls after 2 and says he will be there in a hr he was on his way. He didnt show up tell almost 5. After i called the company asking were he was. I was told i had the wrong company i never called there. Back to the locks. It took him almost 45 minutes to get the key cylinder out of a 1 week old lock. Then tells me after explaing to him 3 times the keys for the lock need to be ones that can have copies made just any were, that he dosent have the stuff to do that. Then tells me it will be $150 to drill the cylinder out on the othet door and 85 for new keys. I asked why do you need to drill the cylinder. I was told there is no way to get the other one out. Wich i reply realy i can have it out in less than a minute. You push the pin on the door handle pop the handle off and put in a new cylinder. He tells you cant. I tell him i just had the cylinder out the other day. But didnt have a new cylinder to put in it. He told me well if you know what you doing why did you even call me. I told him we were he could go ahead and go i didnt him to do anything for us while i put the lock back to gether and back on the door that he had apart and laying on the floor. Then paid him $20 for im not sure what other than wasting my time. Save your self the frustration. And call another company or do it your self.

Do NOT do business with this locksmith!!! This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. I was out of town and my dog sitter accidentally locked herself out of the house. I agreed to pay a $19 service fee for a locksmith to go to my house and assess the situation. He told me that he would call me to let me know the cost for the job once he got to my house. The next thing I know, I had been charged $245. I spoke with someone who yelled at me and told me he would not let me speak with someone in charge. I would never have agreed to that high of a charge for a simple lock. Do not call this locksmith! Update: This locksmith now used my debit card info to make online purchases! I am appalled by this "business"!

I called this company to get a price for a key to my husband‘s truck we lost the only ignition key they quoted us a price and told us they would be at the truck at 9 AM the next day my husband called later to confirm the information and to confirm that he will be with the vehicle when the time and day came they never showed up my husband waited for over 30 minutes before calling them and asking where they were and at that time they decided to start saying the price he was quoted never happened and it was going to be another amount and it was a whole renegotiation don’t trust this company this company will scam you !!!!!

I was traveling through the Indy area on a road trip to see some family in Kentucky, and I stopped for lunch downtown, and realized I locked my keys in my car. With no one I knew closer than 5 hours away, I called locksmith Indy llc. Usually when I've dealt with anyone in this sort of situation they usually take about an hour to get there and charge me an arm and a leg. Locksmith Indy was there in less than 20 minutes, got my car unlocked in seconds, and were so friendly as well. Plus they were cheap! I'm very grateful that this is who I happened to call. Definitely would recommend to anyone!

I was in Indianapolis for a medical convention and locked my keys in the car. I called the rental car company but they said they could not help me and referred me to locksmith Indy. They got to me and about 20 minutes unlocked my rental car and got me back on my way. I felt like the price was a little bit high but the technician explained that he has cost for gas, tools, insurance and the like. After explain it to me I felt better about paying $70 for and unlock my car. I highly recommend locksmith Indy if you are in the unfortunate situation where you need to call a car unlock service.

Lady on the phone said they may be able to get it out but a locksmith would call and discuss it when they came out. 20 minutes later I got a call to get my address and was told he would be there soon. 5 minutes later someone else called and started asking me the same questions. I told him someone else just called and he tried to tell me it must have been someone from a different company which seems difficult since I only called one place. Eventually he showed up and told me it is impossible to get the key out and we both agreed that the lady on the phone is probably just a jerk that says anything to set up the appointment. He then told me it would be $169 for a new deadbolt and $99 to rekey the lock. I told him that sounded really high but we agreed on $250. He went out to his unmarked minivan for a while and came back and said all he had was gold locks. He said he had silver locks in his "warehouse" which I am assuming was Home Depot. He came back and replaced the lock very quickly. However he failed to replace the panel the deadbolt goes into on the door frame. It's time to pay and he tells me it will be $297 because of the service fee and tax. I hand him my credit card and he asks for cash. I tell him I don't have that much so he says he can follow me to an ATM. He then tells me the reason he wants cash is so he can charge me the right price. Now I understand there are credit card fees, but don't insinuate that you are charging me the sucker rate instead of a fair price. All in all it was much more hassle than it should have been and took over 2 hours from the first phone call to completion. I would recommend finding another company. Response: I just confirmed in my phone that the number I called matches the number listed. I'm not sure how the owner's response discredits me when I clearly state the "lady on the phone". I'm lowering my rating to one star. This "company" is a joke.

I can only assume that the reviews I read were planted by the business. While on the phone, I asked about prices, and was told $19 service fee plus $45 to unlock the car. Then when a guy arrived to unlock my car, I wad told $100! After I complained, he said that he'd be allowed to charge $80. I paid their service fee and sent him away. It would be easy enough to just be honest, but they choose to lie. I will not do business with a business that chooses to lie to potential customers.

I can only assume that the reviews I read were planted by the business. While on the phone, I asked about prices, and was told $19 service fee plus $45 to unlock the car. Then when a guy arrived to unlock my car, I wad told $100! After I complained, he said that he'd be allowed to charge $80. I paid their service fee and sent him away. It would be easy enough to just be honest, but they choose to lie. I will not do business with a business that chooses to lie to potential customers.

Locked myself out of my truck. Response time was not unreasonable but they charged me $426.00 for what took less than a minute when they finally showed up and it was still daylight outside. Clear cut case of taking advantage of a customer in need.

If I could give this place a 0 star I would. Both my mom and I had left our keys in the house. Our leasing office wasn’t going to help us one bit. So I checked for the first locksmith company that was reasonable. Online the website states your fee is only $19.00. Well when they come to your home you end up getting charged $19.00 plus an additional $29.00 as well as a service fee. The only thing that was locked was the front door handle and the deadbolt wasn’t. The man tried to charge us $100.00 but only charged us $70.00. He specifically stated that there wouldn’t be any damage to the door handle unless they drilled it. He opened it with a pick and we got back in. Well whenever we came back home to open the door the keyhole was jammed and the door hinge side was cracked and banged up from the man using pressure sleeves. I had called the man’s number that provided the service. He tried to say that he told us there would be damage and that it would cause the locks to be jacked up. My mom who is Deaf was very upset and in a fret. Luckily our neighbor was able to put a brand new door handle for us for free that he had in 20 minutes with a brand new set of keys. Now our door opens easily. If it wasn’t for our neighbor’s help we could easily gotten our house broken into with one kick because the door handle was soo loose and messed up. I hope this company full of ignorant scammers will for once be put to shame!!!

If it's a negative review where the owner's response is "you must have this place mixed up with someone else" than it's a genuine review. It's literally the owner's response to anyone pointing out the scam operation they are running here. It's simple bait and switch and they're even doing it wrong.

I had an awful falling out with my ex roommate and needed my locks changed asap. It was already going on 1 AM so it seemed impossible to find anyone willing to help me. Locksmith Indy came to my rescue, changed my locks and didn’t even charge me anything extra for it being the middle of the night. I can’t thank you guys enough.

Very good service. I had 4 locks re-keyed and on lock installed on a very old door. I purchased the lock at The Home Depot and had it installed by Locksmith Indy. They did a great job and the price was affordable. I recommend this Indianapolis locksmith service.

John the locksmith make me the key for my 2008 Ford Mustang with no problems, I got a remote too for it for very good price... These guys are great! We were running a commercial job up in Indianapolis when one of the delivery guys locked his keys inside of a running 18 wheeler. We called Locksmith Indy to come unlock the truck after we had called another company that pops locks. After waiting over 30 minutes for the lock pop guys, we decided to try another company (diesel is expensive you know). Locksmith Indy got to us in less than 10 minutes. They said they have several unlock guys running around Indianapolis all the time. Well, needless to say, we were happy with the results and got back to our job. I highly recommend Locksmith Indy.

Complete and utter lack of professionalism. A one star is too generous. For ten minutes spent opening a bathroom door that I could have, and had previously opened myself, I was told I would owe $129.99. My request was for a quote to change out all of our bathroom locks and I received a call after the technician left to collect payment. I was not told about any service charge when I called and requested the quote. Horrible communication with their customers and when I debated paying the outrageous fee for the 10 minutes the technician spent, the owner of the business screamed at me over the phone. Extremely disappointed in this Indy business owner.

No licensed locksmith has to get to a job to determine a price of the job. Good companies charge a flat rate fee PERIOD! Know that this company is a scam. If the person who shows up with a vehicle with no business logo on it is a SCAM! You should never ever pay more than 70 bucks to unlock a car NEVER! Please don't fall for the I'll have to look at the car to determine the price crap. If they show up and say that refuse the service if they want the 15-20 dollar service fee just pay it and call a real company. Just take it as a lesson learned because I promise you it will still be cheaper than going ahead with their service.

I politely told him it was not worth it, and he demanded the $19 dollar service fee for driving out. I got swindled. I should have known better to do more research before calling someone to break into your car for money. Please don't make the same mistake as I did and call Locksmith Indy.

I was really happy because I had just got to work in which my day had started off horrible before I could even clock in but the locksmith made my day much better. Lady on the phone said it would cost around $45 plus a $20 service fee. Technician arrived 1 hr later. Technician then told me it would cost $140. I had no other other choice at the time as it was pouring rain and I was already 1.5hrs late for work. Go somewhere else!!
