Terrible service, Terrible attitude!!! Waited 2 days for them to come and fix My commercial lock. After calling multiple times and getting hung up on he shows up...Busts through my door with a very poor attitude!! Does not introduce himself as to who he is, just tells me he is supposed to be off work! Argued with me and continued to work as angry as possible on my lock. I would never use them again! Some people should be lucky to have a job!!!

Took them my saw for minor repairs, they called me 3 weeks later to tell me they couldn't find parts or fix the saw. When I went to pick it up they gave it back to me disassembled and charged me $25. Nuff said.

Had an appointment and came in, no one was there who could help me. Waited 30 min for a key smith, still no show. Someone tried to help but couldn't and said I needed to wait for someone else. They told me someone would call me when a technician came in so i left. No one called. Desperately need competent management, or employees who can manage themselves better.

I've been a customer of J & S as a consumer and as a business manager. These folks are extremely helpful, honest and affordable it's appreciated. I say honest because unbenounced to me my 82 year old mother in-law and my son took her mower to J & S to be serviced, it wouldn't start, and she wanted blades sharpened while there. $18 dollar was the total due! It turns out there's a safety mechanism that wasn't engaging properly which prevented it from starting. They sharpened the blades and showed my son how to resolve the safety issue in the future.

Always a waste of time, most of the guys are rude and act like your bothering them when you walk though the door. Even simple phone calls end up with a wise guy answering trying to talk down on you. I now drive 30+ min to martinsville for the Stihl dealer up there because J and S is so rude..

I called to schedule an appointment with the locksmith. They said he would arrive at my home in an hour and he never came. When I called back, they said it was "after hours" and that they would be charging me a higher rate to come out even though he was a no-show. Very unprofessional. I expect more from a local business like this that has been around for quite some time.

Call around because you will find a better price and definitely better service. J&S is reliable and you will have to pay through the nose because of it. These guys don't seem to care and when I called for their help it felt like they only cared about making money. You are better off calling around if you have a problem. I called them because I temporarily misplaced my key for my Honda Accord and after I explained the situation I felt that they weren't really interested in helping me solve my problem. I'm glad that I continue to look for my key because I ended up finding it in the floorboard of my car. Of course, I'm the dummy who lost it in the first place but I would rather work with somebody local that shows that they actually care for their customers. Another gentleman that was trying to help me find my key said that he had gone there before to find some lawn mower parts and the guys were really rude.

So, when I stepped out to speak to a neighbor, my dogs pushed the door closed, licking me out of the house. No phone, no keys, kicked car. I borrowed the neighbor's phone, called J & S and they were at my house in minutes. Awesome service by Levi. They also make first class keys, prices are Very Fair

Customer service is none existent. They had my chainsaw for two weeks. Every time I called they would say " maybe we will get to it today maybe we will get to it tomorrow ". The ignorant toothless fellow named Greg that works the counter is the worst. Next time my chainsaw has problems I'll just set it on fire and throw it off a cliff and buy a brand new one rather than deal with these incompetent, inbred and just plain stupid people again.

I have purchased my lawn mower, my saws, many many things over the years from these fine fine people. They are not only genuine but honest, down to earth and are a strong backbone in their community providing parts, service, new equipment and patronage for generations! I have come to admire their business model and their ability to take care of me when I need anything. Hands down they are the "real deal" and they are a staple in our community. They also make keys and have a lock-out service that I have used in the past and they are blazing quick on that stuff.

Top-notch experience here. I needed a replacement key for my Subaru Legacy. It's a programable key and the dealer was going to charge over $200 to get it done. These guys could have told me the same thing and ripped me off, but they didn't. They helped me find a cheaper alternative and I was out the door for $70. It's not often you find a shop these days that will have your best interest in mind like these guys do! I will come back here for sure.

After purchasing a Toro mower from J&S, I’m never buying from a chain store again. Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable and they don’t try to upsell you. They even put together the mower and fill it up with gas and oil before you take it home. Don’t buy from Lowe’s or menards!

I'm here out of town working and I needed to get a pull rope fixed on a small motor when I went in their was like 7or 8 people just standing around talkin I was what I needed and I told them and told them I needed it fixed as soon as possible and all they can tell me is well leave it and we might be able to get to it this evening sometime I just don't understand why one of the 8 people just standing in their could not get it fixed very shiny service

We took our push mower here to have the wheel fixed. It kept coming off every couple feet. They fixed it in 3 days which was nice. However, we were charged a crazy amount of labor for 2 $2 parts. Then once we got home we realized the shooter for the side was missing. We called and they couldn’t find it. Thankfully, they replaced it. Now, after the second time of using the mower since they fixed it, the wheel is falling off again and they want to charge us another outrageous amount to fix what they were supposed to do in the first place. I recommend going elsewhere if you can.
