Great service. My boyfriend accidentally locked his keys in the car with the key still in the ignition. We knew we needed someone right away. Called one other place, who weren’t much help at all. So we tried Chitown Locks and Keys. J.R. answered right away and showed up 5 mins. later. He quickly opened up the car and then also offered and made a 2nd key just encase my boyfriend messed up again lol. Once again great service J.R. was awesome. I locked myself out of my car two times today. That's right, twice in one day. The first time I called a different company and it cost me $120. The second time I called Chitown, and JR only charged me $80. That made my mistake(s) sting a little bit less. He was also super nice and sympathetic and didn't make me feel stupid, which was very nice of him. He even offered to make me a spare key at a very reasonable price - an offer I am definitely going to take him up on since I apparently now have a compulsive locking myself out of habit. Very thankful for your service. Someone being nice to you in a frustrating situation makes your day so much better.

He was the fourth person I contacted and had the best price by 20 dollars. When he arrived he was ready to go, i have a newer model car with a missing ignition key scenario. So. It was a Saturday evening and I had keys I needed duplicates of. I started searching for places near me and the results returned where to get keys made 24 hours a day. I figured it was clickbait just for locksmith/lockouts. I called the number and got no answer but I did get a call back from JR. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only could I get the keys made, due to my close proximity to his office, JR was able to come to me. He was very reasonably priced and I'd definitely recommend him to others. All of the keys worked when I got home. Saved me an errand. He provides a very useful service and I'll definitely use him again. Great customer service!

He's easy to talk to, explains his prices clearly as well as your options, and is good at communicating promptly. He planned to come out just for an estimate but since we'd talked previously, we ended up just doing the work that day. I appreciated his flexibility in helping us get the work done in the timeframe we were looking for. He is a skilled technician who has a fully service work van. Losing an only key is a very silly thing to do but happens a lot and especially one for a motorcycle. I called JR and he was very professional and quickly scheduled something in the books for the following day. I was happy to find a person that knows how to make a key for a motorcycle. Jr did roughly come about 30 minutes late from our scheduled appointment and I did have to call him to verify his ETA but Chicago traffic is definitely the factor there. When he came, it was rather quick and he made my keys. I would say the price to make the keys for a motorcycle that doesn't have a fob(HISS) was on the high end in my opinion but I wasn't in a position to negotiate due to not having a key. Overall it was needed and glad I was able to get a key.

Above and beyond...literally. My first experience with Chitown Locks and Keys was superb. I was nervous to call, because I hadn't locked myself out of my car in at least 20+ years, and I had no idea what it was going to cost or if I was calling a reputable company. Then Junior showed up. He was friendly, extremely helpful, and FAST! I was grateful to him for not overcharging me, for actually finding me in the maze they call 55 E. Monroe, and for offering to help me figure out the problem with my driver's side door. Before he left, I made sure to add Chitown Locks and Keys to my contact list (just in case) and hurried to my appointment. Fast forward to one year later...55 E. Monroe. Would you believe I locked my keys in the car again? Except this time the car was running. What a moron. Sure enough, there was Junior in my contact list. As soon as I called him, he actually remembered who I was, and said he'd be on his way in an hour. When I told him that the car was running, he switched his schedule around, showed up in half an hour, and rescued my embarrassed self quickly and professionally. Thank you, Junior! As much as I appreciate your courtesy and over-the-top customer service, I hope I will not need to be calling you again any time soon.
