Great service! I feel like it’s kind of the “call of shame” when you lock your keys in the car, but Jim was nice and efficient at getting the job done. I would definitely recommend him to anyone! The owner basically called me a lier because I thought it was misleading to have a store front address with out having a real place of business. Get a PO box that would be more definitive. Good Ol' Jim put a 2 inch gouge in our metal door with no offer to fix or give us a discount, cornered my husband in the garage for over 20 minutes pushing his bulls*&t beliefs on him, told me some story about how he had kicked at some lady's poor dog in the past as my very senior lab was trying to hide from him (she loves everyone, I should have known right then...) then last but not least he charged us more than he said he would after he had 'finished the job'. I paid just so he would get out of my house!! (This was about a year or so ago, but my original review magically vanished! Don't believe all the great ratings, the negative ones just get removed.)

Jim was a lifesaver after we locked ourselves out thru our own stupidity. Hint: don't lock all the doors as you leave for a trip and then lock the key in the house as you leave. Worse, we didn't discover our dunce-move until after returning from the trip at 4 PM. Called Jim from this Google Search and he was there in 15 minutes and had the door open in less than 5 minutes. And the charge was only $50 for the visit. I think that is very reasonable for such quick and professional service. Plus he cut me a free key to hid in my car next time. Can't beat his service and "here to help" attitude. I'll use him for everything having to do with locks and service.

Jim was at his son's game when my boyfriend called. Within half an hour, he arrived, and was in the apartment in under a minute! When I returned to Boise a week later, with the keys, I found the key no longer fit in the lock. Not only did Jim make time to return to our apartment and quickly fix the problem in the lock & cut us a backup key, he did it all free of charge. Great customer service and a really nice guy!

He did not give me any pricing (which I did specifically ask for), nor did he bother to ask if our timing was flexible, which it is. I was really shocked I just got a hard "no" from a business who probably enjoys having new customers. Due to the lack of customer service, we will be going a different route.

Well I did the neat thing of locking my keys in my car, at night. I looked up locksmiths in the area and AM PM Lock and Key came up. I saw a bunch of good reviews so I called them. He showed up and got my car unlocked in minutes. He was very friendly even though it was late, which tremendously helped alleviate the unpleasantness of locking my key in the car. I will be having him make a dup of my security key in the future. Super quick, super nice, and dups keys you can't really go wrong.

I had Jim re-pin all of the entrance doors to a home recently. I gave him a 5 star rating because he was on time, he was as honest as the day is long, he did exactly what I asked for, and for no extra charge he adjusting a deadbolt that was hanging up on the strike plate, to work silk smooth! A GREAT guy to do business with! Note: The address on Cherry Ln is not a brick and mortar store, I believe Jim only works from his van. Give hime a call. He answered ours right away!

He showed up more than an hour late. I called at 45 minutes late and he was doing another job with no intention of letting me know he would be late. It seems he was fine leaving his clients to wait around on him. I had scheduled this service for my boss who was left to waiting for well over an hour while missing out on work/making money. The Door of my truck got locked with the keys inside. My son had a track meet that got cancelled due to rain and was standing outside. He quoted me $35 for a service call and $10 a door. When he gave me my invoice I didn't have my eye glasses on so I signed the bill. First mistake on my part. Later when I reviewed as it seemed higher than it should be I saw he charged me $50 for the service call and $12 a door. I called him to find out more and he said that when he quotes people in Nampa they usually don't have much money. When I said, WHAT you think I have money so you are charging me more? He replied and change subject and said well you live farther than expected and a normal charge in that area is $65 and you actually owe me $15!! I am shocked at this man's business ethics. I said never mind and then he stopped me before hanging up and said he would mail me a check and pay me back on the doors which would of been a $10 credit. I gave him my address and it's been over 6 months and it's clear I am not getting a check from him nor was he serious. I would NEVER trust what this man say's to you over the phone and double check your bill...Just in case he concludes he should charge you more!! This is the first for me to come across such poor customer service and follow through. I ended up needing more locks changes and one fro the doors he did got stuck so his services needed repair. I paid additional money for this repair as I don't trust or want this man in my home ever again.

Wow. Great service. My husband and I recently purchased a home and needed to change our locks. I was afraid that since it was a newer home I would have to buy 3 new locks. Called Jim, he said no need, he can just re-key all the locks. We made an appointment for the next day. He showed up on time, completed the work in under an hour, and was even fun to talk to. Mr. Lawrence has rescued me on two different occasions-once in Boise and again, in Nampa. He arrived very quickly, immediately following both of my phone calls. Service was fast. He was knowledgeable and kind. I would highly recommend him and will not call anyone else should I have further problems. He was able to get me in to my '97 Acura, which has an unidentified after-market security system. Three other locksmiths were unable to accomplish this and I had been advised to tow my car from Nampa to downtown Boise, where a car stereo retailer might be able to ID my security system so I could have a 2nd key FOB made. He also opened the deadbolt lock on my home, with ease.

Called AM/PM Lock and Key and Jim showed up when he said he would, charged what he said he would (which was much less than I had expected to pay a locksmith!), and got us in without busting our lock. So thankful!! He even made us a spare key, free of charge, and told us to leave it in our car as he can get into a locked car much faster and cheaper. ALSO, Side note for anyone interested: he also mentioned if you take a picture of your house key, he can make a copy just from a picture. Helpful tip for anyone else out there as forgetful as us! Overall, great service, super nice guy. Will definitely be calling Jim when we inevitably get locked out of our place again. Lol!
