We called this company to get a key made that we had lost for our car. They quoted us at $90 no matter if it was chipped or just a plain key, we even notified that we could provide a blank from the dealership. He was concrete on his price, at least with what he conveyed. We knew it was overpriced and ended up going with another locksmith that was kind and super helpful and only charged us $9.50 in total. Ours was not chipped nor had a FOB. Shop around, just because this company has a high rating online and they’re the first to pop up when you search locksmith, doesn’t mean they have a good reputation or aren’t just in it to make a buck.

After one of the rougher 24 hours of my life, I found myself without a key to my ignition and beyond upset. I called Advanced Lock & Key Locksmith on a random facebook suggestion. I've had to use these kinds of services before for various reasons and I can safely say that, AL&KLB is the real -bleeping- deal. When I called, Kirk answered, it was on the first ring. So, first points on the board- These folks are QUICK. He explained that he could meet me at the location in 15, gave me a fair price, and away we went. Not only did he get there on time, but immediately got to doing whatever he needed to do, smile on his face and, dare I say, a pep in his step. As Kirk began the process he explained what was going on (I needed a chip in my '07 Xterra) and even showed me some things about the vehicle my car dealer didn't even bother telling me about when they sold it to me. Even more points there- They're knowledgeable, and don't make you feel like and idiot if you have questions. I expected my long 24 hours to get even longer, the whole process too maybe 30mins, from phone call- to me back on the road. These guys made sure it was only a momentary set back, and I will certainly be using them again in the future. THANKS KIRK~!

Kirk the owner of this place is the definition of a PRO. I had lost the key to my 91 Supra and spent a good week looking for it. He was willing to come get a key made from the ignition for a great price but then I found I had a picture of the key (oddly enough). NO JOKE in less than 2 minutes he was able to look at the key, do his vodoo magic and cut me a new key which worked flawlessly. I have already recommended him and will continue to do so for the future. P.S. I've seen him do impressive work at the dealership where I work.

I misplaced my spare key so I went there and had another one made. It is a transponder key so had to be programmed. Not cheap but the price was fair and they were open on a Saturday. The guy that helped me was friendly. A couple of hours later I was cleaning my truck and found my spare key. Only now it doesn't work because the new programming cancelled it. I went back to see if they would program it to match the others since I had just paid for the service earlier that day. A younger guy was there and told me it would cost me another $60, despite the fact I had already paid for a key and programming earlier that day. It wouldn't have cost them anything but 3 minutes of their time to help out a customer. I don't consider that good customer service. I'll go somewhere else next time. Update: Owner contacted me and offered to reprogram lost key due to "miscommunication" which is commendable but not the same as doing the right thing for a customer in the first place. I am working out of state so I can't take him up on his offer anyway. I will increase my rating from 1 star to 3 for making the effort.

My experience with advanced lock and key was great wonderful I went in to see if they had any suggestions how to fix my key I was under the impression that it would’ve costed over $100 to get a replacement key I was surprised when that was not the case it was a lot cheaper then I thought. PHENOMENAL CUSTOMER SERVICE! A few months back we had the locks changed at our house. We never use the front door and always go through the garage. Today, the power went out and I couldn't open the garage. I tried to get in using the new key (for the first time in 3 months) but it wouldn't work. I tried and tried, nothing. I worried that this particular lock had been missed, and I called to see if they could help me. They sent a fantastic locksmith out to the house to take a look. The lock had been changed, but was stuck and needed a little lube for the key to turn. Long story short, they didn't have to come help me, but they did. They had already done their job, and a great one, and still came out just to double check even though it ended up just being a finicky lock! So appreciative for their professionalism and fantastic customer service!

He took about 3 mins or less to get the door open vs almost 20-30mins the last time I had to use a locksmith. Very personable and I felt like a fair price esp for after hours. The guy who came and unlocked my car was really nice but the owner and the same guy who took the call initially was crazy rude I waited over an hour and when I called to see how much longer they would be him and his wife yelled at me told me I had only waited 23 minutes and then told me I was a rude customer on speaker phone in front of the security desk at my job who by the way can all verify how long it took because I was using their phone we all agreed we would do reviews so, look forward to those. All in all I paid $60 to wait an hour for a sweet guy to come and open my car in less than three minutes and got yelled at in the process so yeah only 2 stars

I recently purchased a Toyota RAV4 with only one key fob and needed a back up fob for emergency purposes. I called around to several places and Advanced not only had the lowest price but they were the only ones who had the exact factory key fob in stock. About 45 minutes to an hour later I had a fully functioning programed fob. Not bad, especially if you ever called up a dealership! Ouch! Kirk the owner is very knowledgeable and personable.

Unfortunately, me (and everyone around me) seems to have the misfortune of locking our keys in cars, buildings or losing them forever. We’ve had Advance help us on several occasions, from our baby locking himself in a hot car (I called 911 & Advance and the locksmith company arrived first!!), to rekeying our residence and business, to helping with rekeying locks we’ve lost the keys to. Most recently, yesterday October 16th, these guys came out and help a co-worker unlock his car. The employee was so helpful and had a good sense of humor, which helped lighten the mood since I’m sure it can be a tiny bit embarrassing when you do that.
