I called Cheap Lock and Key after thinking I had lost the key to my 1999 Lexus. After plunking down 380.00 for two plain keys, I stated that with my luck I’d find the lost key as soon as Mike drove away. Mike assured me that even if it did appear that the old key would not work. This gave me also a sense of security. 4 days later my locked car was entered and stolen with the original key that the thief had taken while I had been unloading the car and I not loosing it after all. When I called Mike to tell him of this, he completely blew me off. 1.5 years later the keys he made no longer are being read by the security system and my car will not start. He refused to back up his product and skill, saying the warranty was only for 30 days. Now it seems to me that a $300.00 key (80.00 for the second) should have a lifetime warranty or certainly one far more than 30 days. Furthermore he lied about the original key being disabled and offered no resolution. Not only was my car stolen and abused but also my camera, lenses and my most prized possessions. I did not have home owners or rental insurance at the time because I had neither home or rental at this time as I was relocating from VA. The customer service and professional ethics are beyond pathetic and have cost me $1000.00’s. No stars but I had to put one or this wouldn’t post.

My purse was stolen with my only set of keys, I asked for an estimate, and instead he referred me to the dealership. All the estimates I got from other locksmiths were between $195.00 and $240.00. The dealership was only $60.00! So I saved a bunch of money due to his honesty! Wow! It's rare to find a business that will send you somewhere else if they know it's a better option for the customer. Says a lot about the integrity of this business.

I lost my keys on the construction site and was calling to find locksmith with reasonable price I only found prices like 187.00 and called this last locksmith and he charged 155.00 saved $30.00 and he told me if I found the keys I lost he will program them for free and the next day i found my keys and called him and he came out and program it for free and now i have a spare key.He's a man of his words. 5 star lock #1

First rate service. My key had broken in half in the lock of my car door. The key was removed and I had two copies of a new key, one being of a more sturdy material, within 30 minutes of arrival. The fee quoted was what I was charged, no surprises or extra labor expenses. Would recommend to anyone in need of lock services.

Part 2: After plunking down 325.00 for having another key made but this time from a reputable source to replace the key that no longer worked made by cheap lock and key, it was discovered that Mike had just shoved my cars computer system back into my car once he had reprogrammed it not even bothering to bolt it back down. Niiiiice, soooooo NOT! Pathetic at best.
