Went in to this shop on Thursday, 5/1. Purchased a Mortise switch for $20 (not the part with the actual key) and was told it would not work at all, by the extremely racist owner. She told me that it was impossible to get this to work, unless I spent $80 on both sides of the lock which I knew was not true due to having family members who are locksmiths on the east coast. When I told her this, she told me that, "this is Florida we do not N-word rigg things here!" What an offensive and ridiculous thing to tell a customer. I would NOT recommend setting foot into this store, unless you like to be given misinformation to try and trick you into spending more money on their already overpriced inventory - as well as offensive owners that think it is okay to use racist terms to insult you.

Haven't used their services personally, but I was just about rear ended by your locksmith van with a child in the car. Traveling about 60 in a 40. I went to turn right and they didn't want to stop, they swerved into the second lane so they wouldn't hit me and cut off another vehicle as well. I was going to head over there in the next few weeks because I needed to have some keys for my car programmed and made. I will not be going here ever. Funny how things work out like that. (Edit) I used Ray's once with fantastic service. So I decided to use them again. I kept my original review below for reference. But after a short phone call It left a bad taste in my mouth. I called asking about pricing on coping a key. I was quoted a price of $65 (not knowing they were only mobile) I asked why so much? The person I spoke to rudely then listed off reasons like "well I don't get discounts on gas, or maintenance, I have to pay taxes, a make decent living, etc" going on with as many reasons as possible. Even though all are understandable reasons. The only thing I needed to hear was a simple we solely operate mobile sir. So be weary of bad customer service via phone. But they do good work & hire good employee's like the one I spoke of below. (original review) They did a awesome job! When Karl arrived it took less than 2 minutes to get the broken key out of the door. Replaced the keys in another 5 mins then I was on my way. DON'T USE ANYONE ELSE! Called over 5 places Ray's quoted me the Lowest price by FAR!

Absolutely one of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Very disappointed with this place. Dropped off lock set for my office at 1:15 pm. They said it would be done within a hour. Go back at 4:45 and they never even looked at it and was told to bring it back tomorrow. So I'm supposed to leave my office unlocked all night? Stay clear of this business.

They were my first call but I wanted to see if there were any companies closer to that area. Called 3 other companies closer to that area, even one that claimed to be a 24/7 service. One told me that I would never find anyone to go out after 5pm, one told they couldn't do it, and the 24/7 one acted like I was really inconveniencing him and told me it would cost me at least $150, a lot more than Ray the Locksmith quoted. Lake County locksmith's, you could learn so much from a compassionate and customer service oriented company like Ray the Locksmith. Thanks so much to all at Ray the Locksmith!

IMPECCABLE customer service ... on a SATURDAY, 5 minutes before 'closing'! I got delayed and could not get there at a reasonable time before closing, needing 6 locks re-keyed. Really great team. Also noticed a few customers walking in AT closing time as I waited and all were serviced politely. The whole team was very accommodating. I felt terrible, having worked in retail for many years ... to commit the sin of delaying them being able to close up and start their weekend. They couldn't have been nicer and took the time to advise me on a few other questions as well. This made a huge difference in the 'flow' of my own weekend project. I was referred to Ray's by an employee at Lowe's 12 miles away. It was worth the drive!

I already have a key to my car and needed it programmed, they said it would be a 50 dollar fee to come out and 25 to program it. That was great..but the lady said if the key I have cannot be programmed it would be 250 dollars to make a key and come out. My issue and question was. ..why would i be charged a service call fee twice? The locksmith woud already be at my house...I think thats silly. The lady got rude with me and said to go elsewhere. I am going elsewhere...A&A locksmith was quick, friendly, and reasonably priced. They answered all questions and concerns without getting an attitude and nasty with me.

I contacted the company on Monday, made an appointment for Wednesday morning. Marty called ahead of time to confirm the appointment, showed up exactly when he said he would. He was very professional and friendly. He asked for me to confirm what I needed to be done. I did not have keys for the locks that I needed re-keying, only for one of four doors in the home. He went right to work and was completed in less than an hour. I was very pleased with the promptness, professionalism, the time it took to complete the job and was pleasantly surprised with the cost of the service. I expected more. I definitely recommend this locksmith and would definitely use again.

Well that was around lunch time & now they're about to close & im not going to waste my time calling her again & getting no where. I will just call a different locksmith that actually wants business. But with that kind of customer service she provided, forget it.

My experience with rays locksmith has been horrible. I was mis led into buying two keys that weren’t even the right ones. Rays fried the e.c.u board in my vehicle by not knowing what they were doing. And now I’m close to 500 bucks in the hole and can’t get a straight answer from anyone even the higher ups. For a company thats so quick to take your money they sure are having a heck of a time returning it. My recommendation is to not use rays for anything more then an accidental wrong numbe call. I’d use Kermits who was the man that finally got us back on track

We have used Ray the Locksmith several times over the years at my place of employment. They have always come through and provided excellent service, with very friendly and helpful technicians. Today we had our door handle decide to just stop working without warning. We could not open our front door at all and had clients scheduled to come into the office. We have used Ray the Locksmith several times over the years at my place of employment. They have always come through and provided excellent service, with very friendly and helpful technicians. Today we had our door handle decide to just stop working without warning. We could not open our front door at all and had clients scheduled to come into the office. I called and they had a technician here within ten minutes and had the handle fixed in no time! Thank you!!!
