Jeff did an excellent job of getting all my doors and locks in order. He came fully stocked with all necessary parts and made keys on the spot in his mobile work shop. It's so nice not to have to shove the door closed to lock it. He was even able to make me a key for my outdoor vinyl gate. Best of all, he answers his own phone and was able to come out same day! Definitely someone who takes pride in his work.

We recently moved to a 1977 home in the Essex area. One of the items on our move-in to-do list was to replace all the old locksets in the house . I purchased new Schlage locks + deadbolts at the local big box hardware store, and went looking for a locksmith to install them. I found Jeff of Precision Lock & Safe via Google search, and based on his reviews, gave him a call. He called me back within 20 minutes, and we setup an appointment for the next day. Turned out that our install was quite a bit of work given the condition of the old doors. Jeff spent about 3 hours carefully reworking and adjusting the new locks. I'm very pleased with his work product; he clearly is a master craftsman. After he was finished, our old doors work, most likely, better than they ever have. He runs a very clean, modern operation also, i.e. well appointed, clean van, online credit card processing, etc. Highly recommended - Jeff will be our go-to guy from now on!

Outstanding level of service and craftsmanship. I had just purchased a home which had been previously used as a rental property, so I was anxious to have the entrances re-keyed. Jeff came out as scheduled and pointed out a number of repairs hat had to be made as well -- locks that were installed incorrectly, errant strike plates, etc. He carefully took care of each lock (there were 15!) and everything now works like a charm. He also gave me a break on the price, without my even asking for one. I was very pleased with the quality of work and will not hesitate to use him again. I highly recommend him!

Called yesterday and Jeff came today to service a safe that belonged to my grandfather in the 1920's. I had lost the combination but luckily the safe was open and Jeff cleaned the mechanism and figured out the combination. He also said the safe was in good condition and was worth at least $500. He charged a reasonable price, did good work, and was very knowledgeable.

Precision Lock arrived on time. Seems like a small thing but when you're on a tight schedule or simply hate waiting around for a vendor this is huge. Jeff assessed the problem quickly and headed to his Van to make 4 new locks. This Van is like a mobile workshop in that it has everything he needs to do his job correctly and with high efficiency. No need to head back to his office. Finally, the quote I got was what I paid. There are plenty of locksmiths out there that operate the same way but you can always expect the few that low ball the job then raise the price when the job is done. So, if you know he's going to show up on time, do the job cottectly and charge you a fair, quoted price why would you take a chance calling someone else?
