I called Hartley Lock and Key to come out and re key a home my wife and I had recently purchased. Mr. Hartley called me back within an hour, and scheduled the job for the same day. He arrived when he said he would, and before he was even all the way out of the service truck, he knew what kind of locks the home had, he had been to the home and done work for the previous owner years ago. I did not realize it when I called for the appointment, but it's the owner himself that shows up to do the work.
Mr. Hartley explained to me exactly what he was doing, and each step of the way he let me watch the process, and educated me on locks, and how they work. Honestly, old school craftsmanship is a rare thing these days. I watched what Mr. Hartley was doing, and how he was handling his tools and the tiny parts of the lock. It's evident that he knows his trade and has mastered it. Anyone requiring a locksmith would be foolish to not take advantage of the 40 years of experience this gentleman brings to the table.
When old school craftsmen are gone, when we are left with tradesmen who take shortcuts and use inferior products, when the Mr. Hartley's of the world have retired, well, use your imagination on what the results will be to your house. It's always an honor and a privelage to have high quality work done in your home. Thank you Mr. Hartley
