They are great. They can actually decode keys instead of just operating a machine. My first experience was to come to the shop for a car key after a hardware store botched a few blanks. After reading all these positive reviews I went to B&B for a duplicate key. I stood at the counter a good 10 minutes before some nasty guy came out from the back and told me he "couldn't be bothered" with my request and walked to the back again. Guess I caught him on a bad day. Although it looked like a nice shop it will be a cold day in hell before I ever set foot in there again.

I recently lost the only key to an older model car from '99 and Rory was able to help me after another locksmith wasn't. Not only was he able to help, he was able to produce two working keys for about the price I had already been charged for one key which didn't work from some other locksmith. The first locksmith my wife went to charged her after making the key to her car that he said he couldn't program because the car had an electrical problem. According to the first locksmith and his boss, the car's immobilizer had an issue and I would need to hire an electrician to fix it then they would come back and program and charge me again for. Calling around I found B&B and spoke to Rory who told me to bring in the key and he will test it, if it's the correct key for the car he was confident he would be able to to program it. He tested it and then came over and did with ease what the first guy said wasn't possible after the office was already closed. Speaking to Rory it becomes obvious that he is a professional with a ton of experience who is committed to his craft. I imagine he probably dreams about locks and keys in his sleep. Don't make the same mistake I did and hire any random locksmith. I paid $120 for a key that didn't work. Just go to B &B first and get the job done right. Thank you Rory! -Matt

I have been going to B&B for over 10 years. Rory is extremely knowledgeable, takes the time to explain everything and answers all questions. They are also very accommodating. When I needed assistance over the phone installing a lock, he talked me through it at almost 9pm. At one point I thought I needed to bring the lock/door knob into the store, he was willing to open the shop and meet me there. Prices are reasonable, quality is top notch.

Rory did what nobody could do with ease... I bought an old volvo at an auction that didn't have a Key. I went to the Dealership for a key and after 3 different Keys none of them worked with the car. After calling over a dozen Locksmiths all over Long Island none of them could help with my issue due to the complexity of the Keys and Auto. Then I called B&B's and spoke with Rory. After an in-depth conversation, not only did Rory have the proper blanks in stock in the shop but was willing to help when no other locksmiths wanted to attempt. I when to the shop brought the key I had from the dealer in and he instantly knew that the key was cut wrong and the profile of the key was incorrect. This was a testament to his unparalleled years of experience. He then proceeded to explain in detail the process and science behind what the key sequence and cutting process, which was very helpful and informative to understand where and why the dealer keys were of sub-par quality. Within a matter of minutes working in the back room with state of the art equipment Rory produced me a set of keys THAT WORKED PERFECT at a very reasonable cost. I will definitely go straight to them with any future business. These guys know exactly what they are doing and will put in the effort to finish the job.

Insist on getting the price first. Way, way, way overpriced. Brought my own emergency blank key for a car along with the original. No programming or anything needed. Just a laser cut key. After it was done I was told the price of a $75 with tax? I explained that it was crazy. I did expect to pay a little extra than the $3 you'd pay at a big box store, but not $75! He did compromise and end up charging $45, which is still way, way too much. I can order another key with it already cut for less than $14! I'm sorry, but this was just crazy. I spend about 2 hours there. Very knowledgeable and lives to talk, but this was just ridiculous. Even with the discount, I still got 110% ripped off. Never again. This is definitely something you should tell a customer up front, not after. See my picture as proof.
