Un reliable, we called to get a key cut at around 3pm. It is now 7 PM, finally called them back after vlbeing told it would be about an hour..now they tell 7s after this whole time waiting that it will be tomorrow before they can cut a key and the price is now double the origional price agreed upon, find someone else rude and unreliable.

So, I locked my keys in the car (it was a long and stressful day) and I called my insurance company. They first sent out "Jack Rabbit". The "Jack Rabbit" driver took forever and after an hour of waiting for him, I called their company and the dispatch told me they had canceled my request and nobody bothered telling me. So, I then called my insurance company, who dispatched another company and gave me an all-new wait time. This next company happened to be the local "Pop-A-Lock", and let me tell ya, these "Pop-A-Lock" guys arrived 30 minutes ahead of their estimated time of arrival. All in all, I waited maybe 5-10 minutes for them to show up. When the driver arrived, he was polite and he acted very quickly-- getting my door open in less than a minute. There was some paperwork afterward, that could've been executed a little more quickly-- the driver was dragging his feet with it-- but honestly, at that point, I didn't even care because they had done such a good job-- definitely blowing "Jack Rabbit" out of the water in every way imaginable. 4/5 Yes, I would recommend this company.

I was out of town for a few days and left my car parked in my garage. On return I called for help to jump start the battery. The Pop-A-Lock technician arrived faster than expected and provided excellent service. He helped me to roll out the car out of the garage into the driveway and attempted the jump start with portable charger. Apparently that was not enough and the technician had to use jumper cables directly connected to his vehicle. After several attempts he was able to start my car's engine. He showed a lot of patience and was very helpful. Great work.

Amazing service!! I have road side service from Hyundai of Las Vegas. The dealership transferred me to road side service and I’m so glad they sent pop-A-lock! My car wouldn’t start, Battery was Old and just shot. I should have gotten the gentleman’s name because he was awesome! The wait was about 35 mins. He found us. He also got us a brand new battery and switched it out in less time. Very courteous and was very clear and honest with the service and price. Just wonderful! Keep up the good work

After arriving home from a walk, I realized I had forgotten to grab my keys before leaving and was now locked out of my condo. I did fortunately have my cell phone with me and searched Google for locksmiths near me. I was surprised to read online that PopALock also unlocked home. I had mistakenly thought they unlocked cars only. I had used PopALock previously several years before when I locked my car keys in my car, and PopALock had responded quickly to successfully unlock my car door. So, realizing PopALock unlocks home doors, I called them. They arrived in about 30 minutes and a friendly and knowledgeable locksmith unlocked my home door and crisis averted. I was extremely pleased with the service and the professionalism of the locksmith, Clint. Thank you PopALock and Clint.

What was suppose to be a quick service escalated to a very stressful one. My key was damaged to the point it was taking my car 10-15 min to start. I called to have a key made.A worker came out and it was fast and easy. I figured it was over. Long story short, I had to call 3 different times over the course of 3 days for them to come make me a key because my car would initially start but then stop working. As the times increased in calling them, I felt extreme frustration from the worker (who was the same one from the beginning). I understand it was frustrating but trust me that I did not want to be dealing with it either. The fourth time I just got my money back but then realized that I no longer had any key since my original wasn't programmed anymore. When I called to ask about this, the technician said he didn't even know I had a key. Although I had disclosed this information from the first time to the dispatcher (who was also very rude) obviously a lack of communication is present. He then suggested that the key was probably not the problem, although I had zero issues prior. I had to call another locksmith who gladly wanted to help and figured out the problem. The locksmith from Pop a Lock had the key code wrong. Not only that but after the second time of having a key made from Pop a Lock my security indicator light came on the whole way home and when I told the locksmith at Pop a Lock he didn't seemed to care. But telling the new locksmith the information, he said the locksmith from Pop a Lock should've never let me drive home with that light because it can cause serious problems with the ignition. Never had I dealt with such rude employees who truly acted like they didn't care. They left me in a worse situation then before I called them.

I recently changed the ignition switch on my Honda car that resulted in having two new keys. With newer Hondas, the keys have chips embedded in them that have to be programmed into the car's computer. I called Pop-a-Lock and got a quote of $90 for the first key, and $45 for the second key ($130 plus tax). When the technician arrived, he attempted to get the keys programmed but was unable to. He told me "I can't program it, you might have to have the keys programmed with the immobilizer first" or something along those lines. He then left. I had to have my car towed to Don Jacobs Honda, and they programmed the keys within 5 minutes. There is no need to "program the keys to the immobilizer" -the technician must have made that up since he couldn't figure it out. I ended up having my car towed to the dealership for free (Thanks Geico!) and the service that Don Jacobs performed only costed me $72 with tax. For both keys. Pop-a-Lock wanted $130 plus tax. Don't listen to the whole "We do this for a fraction of the dealership's cost" - that's garbage. And yes, before Pop-a-Lock tries to say "beware of scammers using our name", this was a legitimate Pop-a-Lock truck and employee. I dialed 253-OPEN. This is how their company operates and I won't do business with them again - I'll go through my insurance company's roadside assistance program instead. *Edit to the owner’s response: It WAS Pop a Lock. I called 253-Open. The guy showed up in an official vehicle/van, clearly orange-colored and marked with Pop a Lock insignia. Quit lying and take responsibility for your terrible customer service. It pisses me off that you would insult my intelligence.

Sergio to the Rescue! I never thought I would need the help of my Son’s friend, Sergio, but we always told people who needed to get into their car after locking their keys in it to call him. Today, in Las Vegas, with a sever heat warning, I managed to lock myself outside of my house while cleaning the pool. I called Pop-A-Lock and said to them that I needed help and if possible, would my Son’s friend Sergio be able to come. I am in the cool air conditioning and thanking Pop-A-Lock and Sergio for getting me back into the house without my husband knowing *chuckle*. Go some where else. This place is a mess no ok me talks to the other person. I've waited for over 7 days for a key that was suspossed to be here over night. after calling every day and asking when my car will be fixed and getting no good answer everyone confused I found out that they didn't order the key so it'll be another day without a car. Fast, convenient, and quality service, ETA was 55 minutes and they were there in 20-25 minutes. Easy change of tire, and technician was knowledgeable and very nice. After changing the tire, he checked out the spare tire and noticed there was some minor damage (which i would not have noticed until its too late) and advised me not to drive on it so much and have it fixed as soon as possible.

They were so nice and professional. More knowledgeable and honest then any locksmith I have used in the past. I had to have a key remade for my 2017 Hyundai because the dealership only had one key. I called them. Instead of trying to gouge me on prices, the lady explained what the prices were and that I could try to go through my insurance company to save money. She also told me that I could order the key online or could order a new key through them and they would cut and program the new key for an extremely reasonable price. She told me how to identify which key I needed and a certain number to look for on the back of a key fob and never lose the number! They were so nice and they have a mobile service as well. Any key needs I have in the future they will be the place I go to!

I called Pop-A-Lock when I was locked out of my house by a smart lock. The locksmith told me it was a difficult lock to remove and would take awhile to do. Since I was locked out with my infant son and it was hot, he offered me a few different things to try to see if I could get it open in the meantime. I called these guys because my ignition cylinder in my car suddenly needed replacing. They said they'd be at my place between 2-3 pm, so despite things being very busy where I work I turned down a ride and stayed home in order to get the car fixed ASAP. The tech never showed up. At 5 pm I called and the lady on the phone said "I knew you were going to say that!" when I told her my name and that I was still waiting. She assured me he was coming. Repeat two hours later, and an hour after that when my husband called. He never came. If I had known, I could have gone into work. Lady on the phone tried to blame the guy for "overloading himself" as if it's his fault they only have one guy working metro Milwaukee, or as if they don't tell him where to go. I don't blame the tech, just the terrible company. I called another company about half an hour ago and the guy is coming to fix the car now, hopefully before I have to go in to work. Wish I had just done that yesterday!

Sergio to the Rescue! I never thought I would need the help of my Son’s friend, Sergio, but we always told people who needed to get into their car after locking their keys in it to call him. Beyond thrilled with this experience. Toyota Glenn mills tried to rip me off. At Toyota I was able to get the key price down and was told with programming it would be about $300 (I lost key chip and buttons in fob). Went for Toyota then tried to tell me it required extra programming because my car was older and would be an additional $100. At this point I'm irritated to be spending $400 for a key to my 2004 land cruiser. My husband immediately googled and found Pop-a-lock. I spoke with the owner and he assured me it was not that complicated and could be done for $199 plus tax (for key with chip and programming). I could hardly believe it but he was very reassuring and said if the key doesn't work then I don't pay him anything. I bit the bullet and went with Pop-a-lock and have zero regrets. My key was ordered on a Friday and came in first thing Monday. I went that same day and my key was done and functional in 45 minutes. I highly recommend them for all of your lock needs. Greatest customer service experience I have had in a long time!!!!!! You won't regret using them either!!

I called them. Instead of trying to gouge me on prices, the lady explained what the prices were and that I could try to go through my insurance company to save money. She also told me that I could order the key online or could order a new key through them and they would cut and program the new key for an extremely reasonable price. She told me how to identify which key I needed and a certain number to look for on the back of a key fob and never lose the number! They were so nice and they have a mobile service as well. Highly recommended! I unfortunately locked my key in my car and realized while away from home in the late evening. As my cell phone was dying, my husband called on my behalf from home and said he had a great experience with the gentleman on the phone who provided an accurate quote and timeframe on the spot. The technician, Jason, was also extremely friendly and professional. He was patient in finding me in a parking structure while I was trying to coordinate with a borrowed cell phone and after having successfully opened my vehicle reminded me to call my husband to let him know I'll be on my way and also even let me use his phone. My insurance sent this company out to get a tire changed on 5/5. They dont carry the wheel lock key so owner must have it. Makes sense right. However while the tire was being changed I walked inside 711 to purchase a water. Came back out in 2 minutes tops and guy was gone. Didnt have me sign any paperwork nothing. The work was done so ehh who cares right. Problem is 2 days later when the new tire came in they couldnt have it changed because I was missing the wheel lock key. I called pop-a-lock gentlemen stated their guy shouldnt have left without having me sign and he would have someone call me back with more info regarding my key. 3 weeks pass. I called today, now Joseph calls me back and says their guy doesnt have the key, I shouldnt have gone in store and they cant do anything about it. Asked for someone on top of him and after saying he's just in charge says he doesnt have a boss. Hope his boss sees this. I'll also call Esurance and let them know about my experience so they can choose who to work with wisely.

Easy to deal with, they came out early, had to work extra hard to get a broken key out of the ignition, finally got it, made a new key from the VIN number and off we went. Did it for the price that was quoted, no extra charges or any hidden fees. Evidently there is another company that sorta uses their name, so make sure you get the real deal. Last night it's 5 degrees outside, I finish my shift and my car wouldn't start. A passer by stopped to give me a jump, the police tried to help too, but the engine didn't start. It's getting late, I live upstate and was starting to feel stranded. I called Pop A Lock and they sent someone right away. They linked me to a map showing where the technician Adley is at and when he'll arrive - I was impressed with the app. Turns out the fuel had frozen - tried a few tricks still didn't start. It took extra time but he knew what to do, he said he wouldn't leave me hanging. I couldn't feel my toes anymore he let me warm up in their service vehicle while he went over and above to unfreeze the line. My car finally STARTED! I literally screamed it felt like a miracle to me! I wanted to write this review because driving home I was thinking wow! there are still people in the world who are really kind. God forbid, if I have car trouble again they'll be my first call. Thank you Adley!!

I called and they said it would take 15-20 minutes for a guy to get to me... an hour later, I call back (its HOT outside) and ask where the guy is... they ask if he had called me, I informed them that he hadn't, they apologized and said that he should be there within 10 minutes. *sigh* ok... 20 minutes later. Needed roadside assistance this morning, was directed to Pop a lock from Ford.. I was in Brooklyn with a flat tire and they were coming from Staten Island. When the guy finally showed up, there was a woman with him in the car which was kind of weird but I didn’t care cause I needed to get back on the road. He takes the jack out and something rolls into the sewer so now he can’t lift my truck to change the tire.. the lady starts freaking out and yelling and he gets back in car to make a phone call... then he drives off without saying anything.. I called pop a lock and they sent another driver and then he was having trouble with his jack but luckily it worked

I own a 2009 Honda Accord I never had the keyfob as I bought this car about a year ago. So, I finally decided to buy a key fob and the dealer quoted me about 200 for one key. That to me was a lot for a key as I'm college student and I try to save money whenever I can. I bought some keys (2) from amazon for about $30 went to Honda to get them cut $10 for both and went to Pop-A-Lock to had them programmed for $50 for both. Other places wanted more than $100 to have the transponder learn for each key. Not only did they give me a good deal they are some of the nicest people I came across. Super grateful.

If I could give this company a Zero I would. I called at 5:45pm regarding a residential service and got a quote. Called again 30min later to schedule and was told they were closed and would open on Monday. Weird, because they state they offer 24 hr services. When I called back to question them, the woman became irate and stated they had an emergency, which I understand. But to lie and state they don't offer services till Monday is another thing. Never use this service!!!! My boyfriend called pop a lock in Lexington to have them help with his car's ignition, which is a service provided by this company. In the process of working on the ignition the technician cracked his dashboard which no longer attach properly. He was instructed that he still had to pay the full price of the service, even though they damaged the car.

I’ve had to use these guys so many times with my impala over the past 8 years and every time their drivers and dispatchers have been nothing short of amazing! Whether it be the multiple times I woke in the morning to find a flat right before work and they came just in time or when I had a short fuse that shorted out my alarm and the doors wouldn’t open. Charlie saved the day -or night- when my garage door keypad malfunctioned, thus locking me out of my house. It says they close at midnight but I’m not sure about that. I called around 9:30pm and it went to a voicemail. I got a call back from Brandon within minutes of making my first call. I initially called for an estimate only, which I got. I then called back not even an hour later and could not get through to anyone after two attempts. I left a voicemail and never heard back. I ended up having to go with another locksmith because I was locked out of my house and needed to get back inside urgently.

Best price in town, but I'm leaving a five star because of incredible service! I called Bill at about 9 PM in the middle of a pretty bad storm, after I had broken the only key to my house in half. Needless to say, I was panicking. To be honest, I was also a bit low on funds and didn't want to re-key the deadbolt (or leave my house unlocked for long!). Bill totally went the extra mile to help me out. He was immensely kind and helpful, met me downtown in a timely manner and was extremely patient as I found the office. He was also able to scan the two halves of my key to make a new one. Best of all, he even texted to make sure I got home safe. I was so grateful for his professionalism, kindness and friendliness -- it really made a crisis into a bearable situation. Nobody wants to be locked out of their house, but if I ever am again, I definitely know who to call. Thanks again Bill!

Had my car unlocked today by this company, which was arranged by BMW roadside assistance. Obviously being locked out is never a pleasant experience and I was pretty upset. The technicians name was Paul and he made it all better. First off, I got a call within minutes of scheduling service, he arrived promptly after. They do Motorcycle keys! I went to their location not realizing that they run by appointment only. They helped me out anyway! Emeka made me new keys for my 1999 Honda CBR600F4, and he lubed the locks on the bike too. He paid incredible attention to detail, and he was able to notice that the key I have for my gas tank was previously copied somewhat incorrectly(I have two different keys for my gas tank and my ignition - long story). He cut the new one properly. I have noticed when getting keys made at other locksmiths that the new carved ridges are slightly bumpy and that the edges are sharp. Emeka lightly ground the edges of the key so that they aren't sharp, and all of the carved ridges he made are smooth, the key inserts better than the one that was passed down to me when I purchased the bike. I am so glad I came here, I am never going to get a key copied by anyone else! Thank you!

My insurance sent this company out to get a tire changed on 5/5. They dont carry the wheel lock key so owner must have it. Makes sense right. However while the tire was being changed I walked inside 711 to purchase a water. Came back out in 2 minutes tops and guy was gone. Didnt have me sign any paperwork nothing. The work was done so ehh who cares right. Problem is 2 days later when the new tire came in they couldnt have it changed because I was missing the wheel lock key. I called pop-a-lock gentlemen stated their guy shouldnt have left without having me sign and he would have someone call me back with more info regarding my key. 3 weeks pass. I called today, now Joseph calls me back and says their guy doesnt have the key, I shouldnt have gone in store and they cant do anything about it. Asked for someone on top of him and after saying he's just in charge says he doesnt have a boss. Hope his boss sees this. I'll also call Esurance and let them know about my experience so they can choose who to work with wisely.
