Scheduling was a breeze and Forest did an amazing job informing me how busy they were and upcoming availability. Pricing however is less to smile about. I get that you have to make money but 85 dollars for a service call (not for work but for arriving at the scheduled call which was during mid-day) is a little crazy. Being a business major I get it, I just hate when good to great companies "dime and quarter" simply because they can. Other than that it was an okay experience.

The Worst! They missed two appointments (no call no show). Once they did come to take a look at locks and security alarms they did not get back to me with a quote. I had to call them twice, a week later. They are a MESS! We didn't give them our hard earned money, we paid their competition to do it, they were cheaper and better customer service. Save your time and money go with another locksmith!!!!!!!!

Awesome Service and knowledge of their craft. Want to give a huge shoutout to Tech Forrest for getting me back on my Harley-Davidson in time for our Group Ride. Every other locksmith including Harley-Davidson dealer told me it would take a week to get back on the road on my HOG. Took it to Forrest (recommended by a friend) and he had me back on the road in a day. Will always recommend this establishment for any locksmith services. Awesome job Forrest!!! Thankyou!!!

I called able locksmith after locking my keys in the car. They got to my house 10-15 minutes after I called. The locksmith was sweet, knowledgable, worked fast, and treated me and my car with respect. He even knew all about my car and the alarm system how long the alarm would go off for etc etc. From someone who's had to call a taxi and or AAA a lot in her life, Able was a dream compared. I will always call them in the future.

the master locksmith is a felon. do you want a known felon having access to your house key, and your home. my locks have been picked by this guy a number of times. i went in there for a quote and never heard the end of it. cab drivers unlock cars cheap, and locks can be replaced for $40. save yourself the trouble and steer clear.

I have never ever left a review on google but I feel this one is necessary since I spent almost $2000 within a 6 month period in regards to safety for me and my daughter from a stalker who had broken into my last 2 homes prior to this one. I bought a "non/bump pick lock" that supposedly was the most secure, not. Great service at the beginning but don't ask them a question they can't answer on a Friday because the guy I trusted most came out at the end of the day, I could of waited till the next week but the guy behind the desk said, "oh no he can come out". He did, and did a horrible job leaving my main lock broken and vulnerable since May and did a horrible job on the second door. He worked on my door twice before and left me feeling safe because he was meticulous but this last time, he seemed annoyed and rushed through the job without even looking at my compromised entry door, I tried calling him several times but he has yet to call me back. I am now left with an unreliable lock and afraid to leave the house without someone being home. I don't care how silly they think my concerns are, if a client is willing to pay (and paid) for services they should get 100%, not a rushed 15 minute job that took him over an hour last time he worked on it. I could tell he was rushing to get out. He even charged me full price on certain parts I returned. So now I'm left with a broken compromised lock that I bought thinking I'd be safe and an unsealed door. It has been a nuisance but since my parents have been here I've at least felt okay, until last weekend I left for one night and came home to a door that was even more unsealed leaving the lock I bought more exposed. As I looked at it more and played with it, I realized it's not as "secure and safe" at all. The lock can be manipulated from the outside. He didn't even install ALL of the lock I bought and used some old parts. I am so upset right now, and will even be more so once my parents are gone. i don't have a ton of money to keep investing on this lock they sold me. I feel lied to about it first of all and secondly I'm afraid to go in again as the guy who greeted me the first and last time I entered the main store was defensive when I asked a simple question and tried to blame me for something that didn't even have to do with my problem. All I want is to feel safe and I absolutely do not.

This useless company will be reported to Angie's List. I called a week in advance for an appointment. The srvice man was an hour late and still had not arrived. I made another appointment for two days later and the gentleman promised me he would be here at 11:00 am and he would handle this himself. I called to confirm and who ever answered said I was scheduled between 12:00 and 2:00 pm. Apparently this company has no idea what they are doing. So glad they will never work for me, and I hope not for you !

These guys charged me $75 to "Make a key" then $70 to "MAKE A CHIPPED KEY" then another $75 for call out fee!! Are you serious $220 for a key! I called another place and the guy came and charged me $90 for the chipped key. THESE able GUYS ARE A RIP OFF!!!

I was stranded at work parking lot this evening. My club was locked on my steering wheel and my keys were missing. The man that answered transferred me to an answering machine. I waited and called back told him I got an answering machine he said we can't help you until tomorrow??? What---he left me waiting for help in a dark parking garage? No respect or caring. Another company came right away. I am making a locksmith resource sheet for our security at the large place of business I work at. Able will not be on it. Be honest don't leave people waiting in the cold with no intention of helping them. I am severely disappointed with the lack of any caring whatsoever. UDATE: manager and owner both contacted me and provided courteous and honest response. Their customer service alone will make me try them again. Family owned business in AK

Very angry and unsafe drivers. Tried signaling to the able locksmith driver I was turning left but he purposely sped up almost rear ending me in order to not let me in. Placed his high beams on once I got in the lane. When I passed him he aimed his phone at my face and appeared to be yelling. I also felt very angry and scared by his threatening behavior with his work van. I felt unsafe so I took an alternate route home. I know this is typical Anchorage driving but I expect better when the van you are driving is your work van. People like this help you get access to your locked home and cars?

They have recently moved to next to Body Renew Mid town. The owner is extremely rude to the gym goers. Threatening anyone and towing their car if you park anywhere near their store and walk to the gym. And then if you say anything back he says your the rude one. Its not as if the Lock Smith store is going to be so busy that a car parked in the middle isle of the parking lot( not the parking in front or the side of the store) is going to prevent a customer from being able to visit their facility. Yelling at individuals and towing isn't going to do anything but bring a bad reputation of your business and staff. Lets be realistic here.

Went in and got a flat rate quote for a copy of my car chip key from Forrest. Brought my own uncut key, so the price is $100 for program, cut and labor. But told me it might possible it will not work since I bought it from elsewhere so he offered to cut their key and program for the price $125 and still try with my key I brought in. Just incase if the key I brought in doesn't work. So both key program and labor was a flat rate $125 and lucky me both key work. Only took few minutes to finish up. Totally will go there again for their service. Really got this off my back. Thanks again for the help Forrest and Able Locksmiths.

The service technician, Michael, was SUPER friendly, courteous, professional and efficient!!! HOWEVER, when he gave me the bill it was more than DOUBLE what they said it was going to be on the phone when I scheduled the appointment!!! When I scheduled the appointment, I talked to TWO different employees and NEITHER ONE OF THEM ever mentioned the $90 call out fee!!! HUH? Which, by the way, I later found out was COMMON for this company to surprise customers with the $90 call out fee. EEEEK I don't have a problem paying it; however, I DO have a BIG problem when companies are not forthright and tell you ALL of the associated costs when scheduling with them. Their office manager/billing person was quite rude when I discussed this issue with her. Her response was, "Do you think we work for free?" Honestly, that is not even the point! The point is...TELL CUSTOMERS WHAT THEIR CHARGES WILL BE especially a fixed fee of $90! She then begrudgingly say, "Well, just pay whatever you want." Ok-that's a GREAT business strategy and the last thing I wanted to have happen was for the great service tech, Michael, to be slided in any way. My whole point of this review...inquire about ALL of their fees and be extra clear to say, "What other fees or charges will I incur once the work is completed?"

Able locksmith company did everything right for me. Great company and customer service was excellent. Their guy, Michael, came out and completed the job efficiently and quickly, with 100% success. I would recommend Able locksmith company, and Michael, to anyone anytime. They were straight forward with me over the phone about the cost. Only thing not positive i have to say is that they were overbooked on their job/tasks and could only give me a rough 2.5hr time estimate for their arrival at my place, I wasn't in a hurry so it didn't matter. The job got done quicker than expected so that offset my wait time. 100% satisfied, will use them for all my future locksmith needs.
