Shannon was absolutely outstanding! I hadn't a clue what to expect from my first-homebuying experience, but Shannon kept in constant contact with the realtor and I. She walked us through the entire process and we truly felt like she had our backs. We were surprised to see her at our signing, but there she was- - to explain every page to be signed and to share in our celebration (with gifts, no less!) I'm sure you will get top-notch service from everyone at ENG - Mississippi, but if you're asking me, request Shannon McAlister. :)

Do NOT work with this mortgage company, which also goes by the name ENG Lending. They are associated with UrbanSphere Realty. I have had the closing date pushed back 5 different times now, with no fault of my own. I am using a 203k rehab loan and the company, especially Jamie Helton, is completely incompetent on the process of the loan. I originally scheduled move out date from my last home three weeks after the original closing date. It has now past the original closing date by 4 week. I am having to pay $100/day for uhaul and sleep at a friends house. They have been polite on the surface, but overall incredibly incompetent. TERRIBLE customer service.

This was my first home purchase, and a whole new world in figuring out how mortgage stuff works. Jamie was incredibly knowledgable, patient with all of my questions, and super responsive. There were a few occasions when I needed to act fast to get in a bid in this crazy Portland market, and Jamie was always quick to provide a mortgage approval letter. She was able to lock in a competitive interest rate and worked closely with my realtor to get me a great house that appraised for more than I paid!

I worked with Jamie on my first mortgage (and currently a refi), and my experience was excellent! Although buying a house is always chaos, I ended up with a tremendous rate, and ultimately closed for thousands less than projected. All-in-all a great team.
