I tried to refinance with Quicken Loans last year and the experience was awful. The guy kept cutting me off, and responded with short answers. He basically would ask me questions then answer the questions himself. Then told me he couldn’t help me, as he rushed off the phone. It was a waste of time and energy.

WISH I COULD GIVE NO STARS ... THEY AREN'T THE BRIGHTEST BUNCH AND THEY LAUGH AT YOUR STRESS THAT THEY CREATE. WE USED ANOTHER COMPANY AND THERE WAS NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. Very disappointed with Quick Loans. They were great at the start to get the loan process moved along quickly. After shopping around I found that they were more expensive in every aspect and decided to go with another loan company. I paid Quicken $500 for an appraisal (don't pay that much, I ended up paying only $430 at another place). Quicken charged my account $500, canceled the appraisal without my authorization or knowledge, and refused to refund me because the appraiser went to the property. When I asked for the appraiser's information to finish the work, Quicken also refused to give me their information. Very poor customer service and communication. They were acting in their best interest and not mine. I had to pay for a whole new appraisal because of this mess. When I asked for the direct number of the Client Relations team member I exchanged email with, I was given the generic 800 number. As a first time home buyer, I have learned that Quicken is quick to make the sell, but they are far more expensive than other companies, and treat you poorly if you decide to go with a less expensive company.

I was happy with Quicken Loans until today. I have been adamant that I don't want an Escrow account and was the state of my loan up until today that I didn't have one. I had a lapse in coverage of 12 days and they would not make an exception to allow me to not have an Escrow acct. even though I provided them with my full coverage documentation proof 12 days post the date due. Their investors, Freddie Mac, would not allow it. This completely changes my monthly payment despite my objection and proof of what they asked for. I'm highly disappointed with Quicken Loans, Florence South Caroline, right now. I will be looking to refinance with someone else.

Asked for a "Good Faith Deposit" Made me feel my loan would go through. Even ordered the Appraisal basically spending my money prematurely as they declined my loan a few days later. Why did they order an appraisal if my loan was even questionable? Now I dont have and deposit refunded or even a copy of MY Appraisal"

Working with Quicken was one of the worst experiences of my life. After being told that my loan would not be financed with just days left to remove any remaining contingencies, I made it clear I would be seeking alternative financing. That didn't matter to Quicken, they still charged me for an appraisal and took as long as possible to release the property case number to my new lender. The money was eventually refunded, but not before almost ruining my chances of getting a new home.

We had an appraisal done but it was so full of discrepancies including the price. The guy didn’t even have the number of rooms correct. After being told I could Dispute the appraisal I was called and told I’d need to bring 7,000 to closing. This after I was assured to begin with there was nothing out of pocket. When I asked for a refund on their incorrect appraisal I was told no it is good faith... who can have good faith in a crooked company?

Stay away!..Me and my wife gave our all informations, (I’m the business owner and my wife is state employee). They check our credit, but no results. Quicken Loan (Chriss) just try to connect you with the local brokers, and quicken loan take commission. If they call you and if you’re busy at the moment they don’t call you back and they will try to check credit again. This is my experience. BEST WAY TO GO YOUR LOCAL BANK. I tried and I’m not happy. No customer Satisfaction.

DO NOT USE THESE SNEAKY LIARS! They will run your credit as a hard hit before they ask any questions to even see if they can help with your type of home. They won’t tell you they’re running their credit. I was told on a recorded line by a mr Steven that what he was doing was verifying my score, not doing a credit check. That it in no way would lower or effect my score. He bold faced lied and to top it off he then hung up with me bc I have a double wide instead of stick built. everyone I’ve spoken with has told me oh well essentially and them lowering my score is perfectly legal even when they have the recording of their agent telling full blown lies. This company is unbelievably horrible. Save your time, save your credit score, don’t even call. The upper weseals in the company even backed their lying employee by telling me once you call in, the rep has every legal right to run your credit, without permission. This is just atrocious. DO NOT CALL, THEY WILL DO A HARD HIT GAURENTEED

I truly believe that double standards (racial standards) exist more in 2018 in such a subtile and destructive way than Jim Crow and this company practices it to perfection. I was told by the person I am working with that I would have an approval on March 29, 2018, instead I was asked to come up with more money and then furnish more bank statements. I came up with more money and that's not enough because they can't trace how it got there. I would like to see in Federal Regulations for Mortgage Lending that how money got into your bank account is a factor in loan determination. I started this process on February 5, 2018 and have not received any documentation by USPS or by Email. I have not received any GFE (Good Faith Estimate). I have not received disclosures, I am getting worried now that my information is just floating hand to hand or computer to computer. I truly believe like Wells Fargo, Quicken Loans uses the "Red Line" on a map standard and that Whites (Caucasians) do not have to go through such a lengthy process as Blacks "African-Americans". It's a proven fact that is exposed but falls on deaf White and Black ears.

I used Quicken loans to do a Refi on my home. Everything was going well until my homes appraisal did not meet the number it needed to for the Refi to be approved. Ok fine, I can completely understand that and that is not why I gave 1 star. I gave 1 star because when this happened Quicken loans completely cut off communication with me, no calls no email no explanation of what was happening. They sent all of my calls to voice mail and refused to answer emails. I finally got a receptionist somewhere to answer and told me that my file had been closed. Great customer service. In the time since this happened, I have completed 2 Refi's and purchased a home. None of which did I use Quicken Loans. Look elsewhere you will not be sorry.

Called for an inquiry on rates/fees. We have been approved for a VA loan, gone through the whole process, and are simply "shopping" around before signing on that line. The women I spoke with at Quicken Loans, Nicole, was a 100% deciding factor that even if Quicken Loans could provide a better rate I would never do business with them.

They assumed that my loan application was for an investment property, because I currently live next door to the home I would like to purchase. My family has deep roots locally and we have other property that we own which is heir property. They did not take the facts given, but only assumed this would be a purchase for income property. In turn that changes the dynamics of the loan and increases the down payment needed to secure the loan. Their actions were unfair and not based on facts. I will never attempt to use their services nor would I recommend this company to anyone, because rather base their decisions of facts, they used assumptions. Below is the agent response. This has to be the most annoying company. They call between 10 and 20 times a day. While I was looking for info on refinancing I will not consider using them because of there excessive phone calls. I'm a busy person I will call you back when I have time. If you don't here from me after a few days ok call back and if you still can't reach me and I don't call you back I've either changed my mind or gone with someone else. 10 - 20 calls a day for the last week isn't going to win my business.

I've been a mortgage broker since 1991, so I've been around the block a few times; Last year, I followed one of my smartest lender reps (from a lender that had always been my go to lender) to Quicken (Wholesale) last year; I have to say that Quicken is the easiest lender to work with ever! Not only are they available after hours, but they work HARD to make sure my loans go through cleanly and swiftly. Communication with all departments is excellent. If there is a snag in underwriting, they automatically escalate to a solutions underwriter that works with the broker (and my smart rep) to figure out how to overcome the challenge. And no matter how anal I am with clean, fully documented loan submissions, other lenders usually have long lists of items needed for clear to close; Quicken on the other hand, handles most, if not all, of the 3rd party conditions behind the scenes (VOEs, subordinations, all communication with the escrow/title company, 4506T transcripts, etc.) so that I don't have to be burdened and overwhelmed by them, which of course frees me up to originate more loans!! Quicken has big time reduced my workload and stress level as well as impressed my realtor partners. Needless to say, Quicken has been getting the bulk of my pipeline. I am one happy camper :-)

Stay away! This is the typical enormous operation with zero accountability. Issues are blamed on nameless, faceless "teams". When you attempt to solve problems you get caught in this endless transfer to different call centers across the country where the people answering the phone simply relay incorrect information from a screen. If you want to close loans and make a great living then stay away from this company!

We were pre-approved, had 50 days to close, and were assured that everything was fine. The underwriter asked for 3 pages worth of documentation AFTER our due diligence period was OVER (bulleted list single spaced) and kept adding new "conditions" every day from that point. The documentation included ridiculous things like my daughter's birth certificate and things that don't exist like a letter from my employer guaranteeing my employment for another 3 years. We have had to correct the math several times, explain how K-1s work, and repeatedly correct them on the facts that have been provided multiple times. From the questions I've gotten, I'd swear the underwriter barely has a high school education. We are now one day from closing and received new conditions last night. I'm waiting to hear back about whether we even have a loan for tomorrow and what the exact cash out of pocket will be so that I can go to the bank and transfer the money (they can't calculate that yet for some reason). I would NEVER use or recommend Quicken loans to ANYONE.
