I’ve never run into a place that limits your daily amount so much. $800 limit per day total, no matter what action you are trying to do. When I went In to get a certified check for the down payment on my apartment the girl basically gave me a list of other credit unions to try and said they can only do certified checks up to $800 per day. Absolutely rediculous, and terrible customer service. You may want to consider your market. Do you really think people have the time and resources to come in for 4 different days just to get a check for the necessary amount???? Called another credit union which was unfortunately closed at the time, and they told me their certified check limit is $1,000,000. No joke. Good luck retaining customers Bethpage, never again.

This place is terrible. DO NOT USE THIS BANK!!!. I had a major issue cashing a check from a new member here TODAY. Causing me insane anxiety. They explain after the first day of trying to cash the check the money was in the saving and not in the checking and to wait a day. The next day they confiscated it from me. Not Giving me any reason to why other then it was under investigation. The manager look at me and said. OK thank you. RUTHLESS MANAGEMENT and practice. I will be calling the Regional manager now and explain my situation. Treat people like humans beings and not like some elite level of banking. NEVER USE THIS PLACE!!! YOU ARE WARNED

Customer Services was really great. I only needed to ask a question of the Manhattan Branch. I wish I could call them directly since I went there when I was on vacation. But, I definitely think this credit union is awesome.

Loved it when it was Montauk Credit Union before they merged. Today I was trying to get a money order and find they now limit withdrawals to $800 (even in cash!). Customer service gave me the wrong info on the phone and now rushing around to find another credit union who could help.

A small branch of BFCU local to NYC. Friendly staff and not crazy busy during lunch. Win-win if you use bethpage and live/work in the city. Also, any shared service members ... it's a good option if your branch is usually busy.

The street office advertises that it is open until 4 p.m. but when I arrived at 3 35 p.m. I was told that the last transaction was at 3 30 p.m. and turned away. Other than that, I have found in the past that the office is available to members of another credit union to make deposits. Marilyn

I am so used to going to the Bethpage in Long island that has excellent customer service that when I went to this location in the city I was so shocked at how rude the customer service reps were. I wouldn't recommend this city Branch at all. It does not give Bethpage a credible name.

Horrible institution thus far. I'm a new customer and opened a checking and savings account online. I never received any type of physical documentation that the accounts were opened and received no debit card. I needed to transfer funds from BFCU to my other financial institution and it couldn't be done without the debit card. That in itself makes no sense whatsoever. I was also told by BFCU that I am not permitted to make a wire transfer to my other institution because I'm a "new" customer. Are you kidding me? So BFCU has MY money but does not allow me to take it out in any manner? Hmm, sounds like a free loan for them and illegal.
