Not good customer service. Do not value long standing customer relationships. Never have enough staff to answer the phone, so you will most likely have to leave a message and wait for a return phone call. I'll stick with my name brand national bank since I can expect a better level of contact.

I have had my credit card and banking information stolen three times with this bank, and mostly out of state. My best friend has also banked with them, and had the same problem. BE WARNED! THEY HAVE POOR SECURITY!!

I've been banking with Genisys over 20 years and this is the WORST branch! 30 minute waits in the drive thru with no cars ahead. ATM rarely takes cash deposits and the staff works with no urgency!

Terrible service. Every time you go to the drive thru and fill out the slip that clearly states the amount you desire to withdraw, they repeat the amount through the speaker. That is not necessary! You don't know who is around or can hear what amount is being withdrawn, its a big safety issue. On a separate occasion after dealing with a teller error on a withdraw, I am being called almost daily to come out of pocket for the difference, as if the error was my fault. Very snotty and rude staff. I rather deal with the Genisys in Pontiac, I have never had an issue there.

I used Genisys for a Michigan Saves Home Energy Financing loan to fund replacement windows for my entire house. Process was easy and Genisys communicated well throughout the process. I also just completed a new auto loan to buy a car and Tabatha was very responsive and helpful throughout the process and got me approved and paperwork signed in 1 day! Thanks Tabatha!

I encourage everyone that has a credit card or any other type of loan through Genisys to check your statements. They charge late fees for late payments even if you pay on time. As an example my credit card payment cleared on 10/26 (due 10/31) even though on their end it shows the payment was received 5 days before it was due I was charged a late fee on 10/31. This happens nearly every month. I'm calling the problem solvers, enough is enough. Also if your thinking I should pay the bill sooner I have a statement that shows payment received on the 20th and billed a late fee on the 30th. they also change dates on your statements so screen shot and print statements before you call them. This place is a scam

I recently had the pleasure of getting a loan through this branch or Genisys credit union in general. My loan officer Lauren M was more then helpful and very polite. she responded right away to emails and always answered her calls or called right back if I had to leave a voicemail. very great experience

I've been a continuous member since this CU began as Burroughs Credit Union, with only one location, across the street from Burroughs HQ. I must be one of the longest-standing CU members still alive! Burroughs is long gone, and so am I, living now for 30 years+ in the Washington, DC area. I provide this background because, during all that time, and with several changes of various sorts over the years, it has been an excellent credit union, providing excellent service for every financial need I've had during those decades. I've also been a member of other good credit unions (still am), but Genisys is my go-to CU. I "went to" them today by phone, and as always I had almost no waiting time and got prompt service on a request that needed prompt and intelligent service. Confession: I've seldom used ATMs for Genisys service, so I can't judge that aspect of the CU's performance. But for the rest . . . thanks, and keep up the good work!

The people are fine but if you EVER want an ATM I think this one only works in Monday's! I can never deposit my cash, and being a server with basically only cash, it makes me want to switch banks! So frustrating! Edit: Since writing the review, the ATM is far more functional! It only goes down periodically which is understandable. It is nice to know when concerns are heard and dealt with!

Terrible experience. My rate promised was not honored, when I inquired as to why I got some BS answer. I have and have always had proper insurance on my vehicle, but they decided to tack $6,000 for their own insurance onto my loan without proper notification. Their online system is dated and making payments is unnecessarily complex as they wont setup auto-pay over the phone. Poor experience all around.

Every time I go to this branch (which is the headquarters) I am treated very well. The staff are super friendly and always go above and beyond to help and make you feel special. The bank tellers are the ones I usually interact with and they always make sure to be personable and friendly.

This place doesn’t even deserve one star. Horrible service. Incompetent staff. THE worst is their mortgage dept. They don’t communicate well or have a decent process in place to handle deals. Run from this place.
