I bought a vehicle through a company in maine. Finally paid it off. I was starting to wonder why is was taking so long. The truck was $16,000 i put $3100 down. Which means my 12,900 should be owed. I didn't know it at the time but my interest was 18% Then i had to bring the vehicle back for the engine issues. To which one of the guys showed me the deliberately over charged me on the truck “because we can”. I could write a book on why to stay away from this company but i think the reviews speak for them selves. I had them mail me a copy if all payments and contracts. In total payments i have paid $27,000.00 +\- DO NOT BUY FROM A COMPANY SELLING CARS that finance using them unless you want to purchase a vehicle that is around 10 years old, well over 100,000 miles and give away $10,000. If you are into that kind of thing. Go for it.

I’ve had a great experience so far. I financed my car in March of this year and the bank I had linked to my account I closed and am waiting on my new card to set up the auto pay and I always call and make my payment or send in a money order and every time I’ve spoken to someone they have been very understanding and accommodating. It helps tht I love the car I financed also. Life happens and it’s nice to have a company that does there best to understand.

This was the best car buying experience of my life. I got the exact car I wanted, no punches pulled, I was helped immediately and the finance manager really helped me out. I would never go anywhere else and Jose Reyes is completely honest, trustworthy, helpful and just a genuinely nice person. The interest is high only because my score was not very good, not anything to do with them. They are the only ones to give a second chance. I have called before and had to set up pay arrangements a couple times with no issues, I have missed a payment do to replacing my CC and they just contacted me nicely asking when I can pay... I am on maternity leave and they have been super helpful! Gave me reduced payments and one week off while I am on my leave. In a country that has such poor maternity laws, this was extraordinarily helpful while I am out of work. I'm very happy with AutoUse.

As a dealer who has been doing business with Autoloan for over 24 years I can honestly say that they are an outstanding lender that always does what they can to help my customers with poor credit. Their programs are designed to help people get a vehicle and improve their credit score. If the vehicle purchased isn't up to par, look at the dealer who sold it....not the finance company. I've read a lot of the reviews here and many of the comments are just sour grapes. This company has ALWAYS treated myself and my customers like gold.

Their business plan is based on the exploitation of: the customer, the dealer and the Auto Use employee. I know this as I worked for them for a total of over 17 years (my final role for them was as Commercial Credit Manager) during which: I never once received a raise in pay; I never once received any recognition for any achievement in any way and I worked on all of their most difficult transactions. I never once was included in any: activity, event, celebration, or get together in recognition of results or performance. The product or results of my work was used to measure the performance of others who were rewarded with 4 day fully paid, tax free trips for 2: to Las Vegas and the Caribbean. I was never recognized with as much as a free lunch. I was assaulted by fellow employees and management did nothing about it. I was bullied and threaten by my boss and nothing was ever done about it. This same boss made it a point to repeatedly inform me at every possible opportunity how much he disliked me personally and that he wished he could fire me. This individual is a bully and a coward. He is a coward because he hides behind lies and doesn't accept ownership of what he was responsible for. He placed late night voice and face time calls to me for the sole purpose of harassing me. When I told management what he was doing, they did nothing about it. I stood up against some who daily would ridicule and openly comment that management was to stupid to run the business and should go back to selling flowers. I refused to accept being treated this way any longer and I asked repeatedly for a transfer. Others were transferred over the years for: cheating on their commission reports, alleged sexual harassment, poor work performance. My work quality was never the issue. A fact to which they repeated confirmed. When I asked why I was never given a raise or any form of recognition I was told "Well I thanked you didn't I" . In the end I was fired.They capped this off with trying to deny me unemployment benefits. There were 2 hearings at the Mass Unemployment Agency lasting over 15 man hours. At the hearing it was 5 of Auto Use Management against me alone. If you a potential employee of this company, think long and hard about it. If you are a Dealer thinking about working with this company, consider the character of the management. As a Dealer you should also ask about a major defalcation that took place several years ago and how was it dealt with.

I was very grateful to have them work with my credit when I signed up, however if there is anyway for you to get a loan through a different company I would highly suggest it. I bought a 2009 Honda Civic in 2011 and it "cost" $16,999.00 - when all is said and done I will have paid over $26,000 for that car which is completely extortionate. A loan shark would probably charge you less.

When I call and I am actually able to get through to someone, they are very polite in my experience... although, that doesn’t happen very often. I have called every day for a week and I’ve waited over 45 mins on hold every time before hanging up. I wish that I could post pictures on this review of the screenshots I’ve taken from each time that I’ve waited on hold! If they don’t want to answer my calls to take payments, I’m more than willing to keep my vehicle for free! It’s almost like they don’t want you to pay them............ their website never works for payments either.... poor customer service unfortunately...

Person I need to speak with (Lynn) is always at lunch And doesn’t return calls. should I start charging them a late fee? Very unprofessional company. For clients with poor or bad credit is the place to go. Interest rates are according to my bad credit which is not Auto Use responsibility. I've had a pretty good experience with Auto Use. However, they have one manager/rep named Jennifer Nieves that is just a miserable, rude, condescending woman. I've had on time payments for almost 2yrs straight which is the full time I've had my car, and nearing the holiday season I had to have multiple things repaired with the car. so had a late payment that caught up with the next payment so I then owed 2 payments. I called to make 1 full payment and create a plan for the second one. And Jennifer said "that isnt nearly enough to cover it" and "we will repo if it is not paid in full". In the most combative tone, (as if I had bee dodging them or something) I tried explaining my situation and how I planned to take care of the balance but she wasnt accepting any options. Again, this is the FIRST time I've had a late payment, but the min I said my name she started firing off at me as if I'm some fugitive of the law... Then she disables my web access, making it only possible for me to make payments by calling them, and then being rude to me every time I call. I am a wife and mom of two, we pay our bills and refuse to be treated as less because we had to pay surprise expenses for car repairs going into holiday season. She is horrible with customer service and probably at just being a human in general. My loan is almost paid off, when it is I'll be trading in and getting a new one, but because of Jennifer Nieves, it will NOT be through auto use. Really takes away from all the other women (I've yet to speak to a man) that work in customer service there because everyone has always been very helpful/friendly when I've called. You can tell Jennifer Nieves goes to work ready to argue with customers rather than trying to help or provide service that makes people feel valued as a customer. Remember Jennifer, we customers are the reason YOU get paid. Auto Use, there are so many other reps I've talked to that are probably well more capable AND deserving of that management position, but you have Jennifer, driving away business.

Automated call center just gives you a run around. Only way to deal with this company is to have automatic payments set up or use their site to make your payments.

Definitely negative stars if I could. Bought a car in cash in 2014 and the salesman , Seth Bannon, lied about the information. I asked for a car with no accidents but sold me one with prior frame repair. It was discovered by CarMax when I tried to sell the car two years later, and thus CarMax bought my car at huge discount. This information was not revealed in AutoCheck, so this company believed they could sell it at a much higher price than it should be to someone who knew little about used cars and trusted them.

I know a lot of people and I will never recommend them to anyone . I bought a 2006 in 2013 for 6995 all said in done I paid over 12 grand for this vehicle . the worse loan place ever !!! by the way service is very rude and unknowledgeable

I purchase a car and gap insurance in January 2015. On February 2016 my car was totalled in an accident that was not my fault. My insurance paid the book value of my car but I still had a balance which the gap should have cover but instead I was told that the gap does not cover deductible so I would have a small balance. Which I don't quite understand because as long as I have been buying cars gap is suppose to cover the remaining balance. My payment history was excellent with this company but for some reason it was reported to my credit report that I owe this company 3,000 + dollars and the are also reporting this as a charge off on my credit. I have no idea what stunt they are trying to pull but I am calling the BBB,a laywer, and the news media because something is very shaky about this company and I will get to the bottom of this.

To ANY DEALERS that are considering this place, STAY AWAY! Their contracts for financing are literally SLAVERY & your better off holding the paper yourself! Page 5 section 9 "contract repurchase" states not only do you have to buy the vehicle back if the first payment isn't made which is honestly standard but if the vehicle has experienced ANY mechanical failure within 6 MONTHS where the customer complains, you have to buy the car back!! It doesn't end there though, instead of the lender purchasing $100 VSI insurance covering themselves, they put the blame on the DEALER if at ANY point in time the customer takes full coverage insurance off the DEALER has to buy the car back!!! How in the WORLD can the dealer protect themselves from the customer calling up their insurance company 3 months after the sale and reducing their insurance to liability only!? Did I mention that in order to do business with them you are ALSO WAIVING ALL RIGHTS to litigation and a trial!? Not only this, but your ALSO responsible for all attorney costs not only on YOUR end, but auto uses end as well! There contract is approx 40 pages long & im sure there is substantially more literature stripping you of literally ALL of your rights, but those are just SOME of the ludicrousness. I almost signed up with them years ago & didnt because of the contract. I called again recently, years later & was advised their financing is much easier and the contract is much smaller. I filled out a single piece of paper & agreed. AFTER they ran my credit which having an almost 800 credit score I was weary of, they send me another 30-40+ page contract with all the same insanity! Another inquiry on my credit for absolutely nothing! I called up & spoke with "shelli" & was extremely respectful, advising her of all of this & she replied "I know the contract is stated this way, but we wouldn't do any of that"...UMMM, then why is it in your contract!? When I asked for an addendum of some sort confirming what she said verbally she told me no and pretty much "too bad, tough luck". Not the slightest care in the world!

There is ZERO communication between this company and their customers, and even worse there's no communication within the company. Terrible service!

Very honest and straightforward in their lending practices, they don't pull any punches and they are crystal clear on everything. They are excellent to deal with. They work with people with any sort of credit for car loans. Their contracts and terms are simply, easy to understand, and they work with you to insure everything goes smoothly. Customer Service goes the extra mile to confirm your identity and keep your information private. I've had loans, personal and auto, with different banks and companies. AutoUse AutoLoan is BY FAR the best lender I have used. While I might pay a higher interest rate here the customer service and ease of contact are worth their weight in gold. I certainly don't mind paying for quality and they deliver every time.

I live in and bought my car in NC and my financing was done by this company. My credit is not that great due to a previous voluntary repossession on a car that ended up needing repairs that cost more than the car itself. I've never had any issues with this company. I've never had any reason to contact them though, other than to make payment changes due to account or bank card changes and I've always had a pleasant experience. Yes, the interest rates are high but those are consequences of less than stellar credit, no fault of theirs. My 2009 Dodge still runs just fine. If they have some type of program for return buyers with reduced rates, I'd use them for financing again.

At first I was pleased with this company but after I broke my leg and was out of work for 4 months they were not very nice about a late payment I had. I owed 119$ and only had 90$ which they refused to take. Stated that they will repo if I didnt pay the full balance. Mind you, I asked to pay the remaining balance 3 days later and they would not budge. Also every month I get a notice that I need to show proof of insurance or threaten I will have to purchase insurance through them for $40 more a month. why do I have to show proof of insurance when I have insurance. lol Almost feel like they will find any reason to come repo my car at this point. Thank but no thanks. As soon as I can I will be paying it off in full to get out of the loan.

people complain about their Interest rates? that is because they lend people who have bad credit, it was their choice not to pay their credit cards, auto loans or have their car repossessed .......... don't complain about rates , thank them for give you a loan.

They COMPLETELY take advantage of you not having good credit. In the end what you end of paying for the car is outrageous and not worth it. They do a "lease" to hide the fact your interest is in the high 20's. You only see the price not what makes up your payment and that high interest. A quarter of what you pay for is interest. Do not be desperate and buy from these people, I am in shock at what they do, it should be illegal.

I had no problem with them until it came to the end of my loan I contacted them to send me a list of dealers in my area that use them because the original dealer closed after 2 months nothing went through a different loan company they played off the last $500 of my loan I was not charged my car payment that week do to the new company paying them off the following week I look in my bank account and I see they took it out. It took me 45min to talk to some one to get well until we get that check we will keep charging you. What craziness

Seems like she don’t know what she is doing .. she’s rude and talks over you and has no professionalism at all.. I asked to speak to her supervisor she claims no one is around to speak to.. Made my payment as to what was displayed on my online account, lost my job called them and tried to make arrangements with them, the customer service reps they have are extremely rude, talk over you, and won't admit their error of posting the wrong payment... Now I told them I'd pay it when I get my check from the job I just started and they say well if you don't pay by this Friday your car is getting repoed..

I leased my vehicle back in 2015 and received the title in 2018. This place is great for people with no credit or bad credit. Yes the interest rate is higher because their customers have no credit or poor credit. I have never had an issue with them. When i have to pay late i simply called or used my grace period of 10 days. If its longer than the grace period, depending on how many times u called needing an extension they will grant it for you or warn you your vehicle is 30 days past due and this causes a red flag on your account but even when i went past the 30 days they put the red flag on my account they have never towed my vehicle. I had twins back in 2016 they gave me enough time to get caught up and then we had to go back and forth to Dr appointments due to medical issues out of town they worked with me again and gave an extension. They have even deferred my payments twice. If i was not working on my credit and i needed another vehicle i would most definitely come back here. Thank you. All i want to say to the new customers or existing customers if u need more time call and talk to them they do not want to repo your vehicle they will work with u. They may ask u to fax in documentations to support what ever reason u need an extension but its worth it. That reminds me of another time i had to get an extension. I had just had my vehicle repaired, she simply said fax in my receipts for repairs and gave me time to pay. Thank you auto use auto loan.

Not sure how they work for anyone else but, I paid 8995 for a lemon and had to pay over 10k to repair the Vehicle which sat in the shop for over 3 months waiting for parts, They know the Car was in the shop And they waited for me to repair it before deciding they had a problem with my account at took the car back from my house the day after the repair was done. Then I called only to be hung up on by Jennifer Morgan. This was terrible customer service going into the Christmas holiday, and on top of everything to company has been double charging my credit card and bank account for my weekly payments. I just thought I would put that out there even though these companies cater to people who have poor or no credit, they should learn to speak to the paying customer better that the way Jennifer spoke to me.

You probably hear from many customers appreciating their car buying experience and the professional and friendly atmosphere at Autouse. But what happens when, through no ones fault, a mechanical problem arises and a customer needs help. Well at Autouse the professional and friendly staff did not try to coverup or minimize the problem, they immediately put their best mechanical staff on the job and and when it could not be quickly resolved, I received a full refund, and then purchased the car I should have bought in the first place. This a company that stands behind it's cars, and it's customers. It is a rare pleasure dealing with people with such high INTEGRITY. Thanks

I would rate 5 stars but they only report to 2 out of the 3 credit agencies. They have always worked with me on my payments if I was going to be late. Anytime I call they are always nice and are able to answer my questions. People complain about there interest rates. But lets be honest if your using them that means your credit isn't very good, so what would you expect.
