Don't expect much when selling jewelry here. They laughed at me when I told them what my piece of jewelry was worth, they offered me next to nothing for it, and they scratched the back trying to get it open. If you value getting no money for your valuables and wasting your time, this is the place for you!

This pawn shop is a one of a kind. An upscale experience with superb staff, building, hours, and environment. All the staff is professional, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They strive to meet a customer's needs. I've dealt with jewelers, and pawnbrokers in the past but never like these guys. They are so personable you can't help but develop a repoire. I dealt with Patrick during a crisis and he dropped everything and gave me his full attention. The other staff was supportive. I would recommend this shop without reservation. To buy, sell, or pawn. Upon entering the location no one greeted me when I came in so I assumed I could go to the left where electronics were located. From tree I was greeted by a gentleman who was looking at my camcorder (overheard look in eBay) only 3 stars because they offered $20 and on eBay my camcorder was $125....did not leave a good impression on me where I was offered $50 at another location. All sellers do your homework on your equipment before bringing it here they will low ball you majorly

I have never sold anything to a pawn shop. As soon as I walked through the door I was acknowledged. Dan helped me sell a ring that I had been holding onto forever. I visited Poplar on a Friday after work without notice, interested in a first-time customer loan with no interest for the first 30 days. My transaction was fairly large and time-consuming, but Kevin, the manager, took care of me himself with a warm welcome and no wait. (I later learned that he was working the floor to give his weekend crew some well-deserved time off.) I was treated with resect and courtesy throughout the entire transaction, which was important to me as I find the pawn business intimidating. Kevin offered a larger loan amount than I'd expected, pointed out the grace period on payback terms, and even graciously escorted me to my car himself. I was so pleased that I returned on Monday to sell some silver and gold pieces, and this time Chad conducted the sale with a bit of input from Kevin. Once again, the offer was better than expected without any haggling, and within an hour a mixed bag of outdated and broken pieces became easy cash in hand. Next trip, I'm likely to be a shopper - because this place is a high-end showroom. GO THERE!

I have never pawned anything so I really have nothing to compare the process to. That being said I wouldn't have imagined it would be this easy. Within 10 minutes I walked out with a loan amount that I needed. I pawned my computer and as a first time customer I am given one free month to pay the loan back. No interest for a month! The guy who helped me was extremely helpful and didn't waste any time. The next time I run into a jam and need some quick cash I will absolutely be taking my stuff to Poplar. They have a great Ebay store as well that I have checked out and I will be buying some stuff from them once I get through these cold months and start making money again. The guy who helped me was very friendly and the service was great. Like I said in and out in 10 minutes and only needed my id.

Best new/used shoe pawn shop in town. Always pop in every couple months check out the catalog. came through for my girl bday and found a great deal on some DS uptempos. Really like how they have a iPod now you can glance by each size. Jewelery side nice too if u got cake.

I've sold movies, games, lap top, and jewelry to this location. I loved the experience. I walked in and was greeted and asked if I needed help right away. Never stayed in longer than 5-10 minutes. They get you in and out. Prices are very reasonable also. Always satisfied when going there.

I got my engagement ring here (at their Parkville location) one year ago and I was very pleased with the whole experience. I picked out the ring I liked with my now-husband and he went back later without me to buy it. I found out six weeks later when he proposed that he accidentally bought the wrong one! So we went back, explained this, and exchanged the ring no problem for the one I first picked out (which was still there). Both times everyone we dealt with was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
