We started my home buying experience we where told by many mortgage companies we had to wait 3 years. I was doing a VA loan. We were told 3 years due to a bankruptcy. We found Danielle French at blue water mortgage. She told us the truth we could get a mortgage 2 years out. She was able to answer all of our questions. She was available all the time. We did get a great interest rate. We also found that the people who work behind Danielle was also helpful. We have already referred family to Danielle. They have done one loan with them and will be closing on a second home loan with them soon. We have been in our new home since November.

After they helped me buy my dream condo at the beach 4 years ago, I kept their card on my fridge. Jay Healy worked tirelessly then to help me manage my first VA mortgage, and for those who don’t know, the VA makes you jump through hoops! This year when a big condo assessment was presenting a dilemma, making me think I might have to sell my Happy Place, I called Jay again and he gave me very insightful recommendations which didn’t all mean any compensation for him. I decided to refinance to take advantage of my equity and again the VA process proved to be even more onerous. Before working with Roger and Blue Water Mortgage I was originally working with another mortgage lender (as an acquaintance of mine worked for that company). I am a first time home buyer and when working with this other person I felt clueless to how the process worked. All quotes I received were basically just a final price and the total closing costs. While I was new to the process and didn’t really know better, I felt there must be a better option. I mentioned this to a coworker who recommended Roger and Blue Water Mortgage, so I decided to shoot Roger an email, I am so glad I did. Not only did Roger respond much quicker than the person I was working with originally, but included a complete breakdown with all costs included. This resulted in a mortgage payment much cheaper than what I was told with the first person I was working with.
