The woman at the main branch clearly hates her life . Always the worst vibes . Go there and you can point her out! After hours line is a joke . Even when you leave notes you’re going out of town they still shut your card off and leave you stranded . After hours can’t help you lol!!! . Got stuck in California with $0 from Saturday to Sunday morning. Same with Colorado. It’s was amazing. Join this bank if you want the worst experience since the Great Depression !!!

For the most part I have had decent 4 to 5 star relations with the CU for the past 30 years or so, however, I was a little disappointed in my last attempt at mobile checking deposit. Most other banks and credit unions are ok with a signature, account number, and the words "For Mobile Deposit Only" endorsed on the back of the check but not Mid American. They refused my deposit because the words "in MACU" were not included in the "For Mobile Deposit Only" portion of the endorsement. The endorsement with my signature, my account number, and the words "For Mobile Deposit Only" as was presented electronically to the CU should tie the deposit directly to my MACU account and no other, but because the the words "in MACU" was not included; my deposit was denied and could not be rectified by the credit union even though the deposit was made directly through the MACU mobile app as the check was disposed of after deposit. Can you imagine if the name of the credit union was "Mid American Credit Union of Wichita and South Central Kansas " and having to end your endorsement with "For Mobile Deposit Only in MACUOWASCK"? Contemplating terminating my relationship with MACU over this and moving to a CU closer to home.

Been a customer for years and years, went to get a signature loan yesterday.. one employee tells us it’s regardless of credit.. we get there, they basically treat us like we cannot be trusted with money! They have to control the funds entirely. Willing to take our money every month but UNWILLING to give us control of a loan. Melissa- very loud, I’m certain half the lobby heard everything that was going on. VP of lending also uncaring, not willing to listen. They want to hold you responsible for bad credit 5-6 years ago.. when you just got a home loan, and have two credit cards.. they want to tell you your credit is too shaky! Will be taking our business elsewhere ASAP!! Do NoT do business with these people because they don’t care about people anymore. They only care about money!!!! Customer service no longer matters!!!

The auto loan terms are great but trying to pay it online is a nightmare!!!! I've had the loan for 5 months and every month since have had to walk in in person to try and figure it out because they make it so challenging to pay online and it's impossible! Not acceptable in this day and age! Please upgrade your online system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Banked here for over two years. Starting out everything was great then this past year they might as well be a bank not a credit union. They take every opportunity to charge you a fee. Call center representative even got a attitude with me when trying to figure out fees. Will no longer hold any accounts here and do not recommend in any way

Was a good bank until they changed their online system. It used to be two clicks to make a payment. Now I have to schedule a transfer, wait three days and schedule another transfer to actually pay it. I have been told they are working on this for a year now. I would advise looking somewhere else if you like doing any online banking.

Been banking here for approximately 10yrs. Have had a few issues but they've been resolved quickly. When I joined they paid the highest interest in town, not sure if that still holds true. -no chip yet on my ATM card?

I'm about fed up with the terrible service at this credit union. Between the multiple times that they messed up the information on my loan to them not even being able to answer simple questions (like if my car insurance information got updated in their system). Soon I'll be looking at taking my business elsewhere. Note to others : read the rest of the google reviews before you dive into doing business with MACU.

Wow, I wish ALL banks would treat all their customers like I was treated today! I needed to make an adjustment to my account and Judy greeted me within 5 minutes of arriving, during my lunch (30 minutes). She greeted me as if I were a friend, not a number, and it was as if I had been at the bank for years! This was our first interaction with one another. She let me know the process I needed to take care of was quite simple and painless. We were literally finished with my account adjustment within 15 minutes! Unbelievable! I look forward to the next time I have to come to Mid-America Credit Union. As I am union, I will always support this branch!

This has been the worst experience of our lives! My husband and I wanted to get a car for our daughter for college....For three years we battled with the young over zealous agents calling before payments are due-harrassing us at work and her at school --before our payment arrangements were even due-We tirelessly beg them to stop---they say things like Ha Ha?? and teach you a lesson? What kind of a company is this unprofessional? Please think before you get involved with this one. We are pursuing it legally.

Extremely unprofessional business. They try and solve what you're mad about without listening to what your complaints actually are. They will charge you for anything and everything they can. I've had businesses accidentally pull too much money from my accounts and be told I have to pay overdraft fees for the money that was essentially stolen. Tried their overdraft protection program and learned it causes overdrafts of your accounts. I have to be banked here to be able to help family who have accounts here, as soon as we find a way to get their accounts moved we will all be shutting our accounts down with these thieves.

Great people. Been with them for over 20 years. Don't put dimes in the coin counter. It sometimes mistakenly counts them as pennies, in my experience.

Worst bank I've ever done business with. They closed my checking account without informing me and without any information as to why. I was never able to do any online orders outside the US even after confirming my identity over the phone. And they've tacked on extra fees to my loan after I was told in person that I was all caught up.

If you want to have an account with the greediest of the midwest bank here! Literally no customer service. Constantly shifting policies and creating new account fees on the fly. Absolutely the worst people the work with. Closing my accounts and using a shoe box from now on. At least a shoe box wont fee me for no reason or tell me when I can and can't use my own hard earned money. Dont bank here. Do us all a favor and burn it down.

Poor customer service, and very inconvenient. I had to open an account at another bank to have access to services most banks offer, but this credit union does not. The differences in customer service is astounding! MACU is the worst. It's like getting into an argument with an ex girlfriend every time I go out call. The children that work there don't understand the most fundamental concepts behind banking and finance, thus are ill equipped to answer questions or provide any useful help. Avoid if possible. I'm trapped due to an auto loan.

Trying to get a home improvement loan. What was supposed to be 30 to 45 days has turned into 70+ days. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. We are still waiting for calls and the inspector, which has been paid for.

Recently had truck repossessed after 2+ years of good payments after getting behind going through a divorce and being homeless struggling to make ends meet. Being a single father with some bad luck financially. Taking jobs traveling out of state for work away from my daughter to make ends meet. Took another local construction job to work a company that was crooked and a slime ball. Finally my luck changed I took a job back in the Automotive repair world locally. Stayed in contact with bank for them to tell me if repossessed i could pay back payments and repossession fees to get back. Well they lied after being repossessed the following day I had the funds for them only to not work with me or be understanding. They wouldn't take my money knowing I couldn't get refinanced due to my low credit score from going through the ringer of divorce and rebuilding my life again. Repeatedly try with different branch managers that could not override Dakota's repossession Dept decision, even though they wanted to. If you want a great bank and someone who actually helps their members don't go here. It's not the way you wanna be treated .

Very impersonal and could care less about individual needs. I cant give the a zero rating so they advance to a one. Can't even update name changes when information asked for was presented and each time was different. It's been over a year and still no update. This business hides behind a credit union and local image but don't be mistaken. Your customer care will change not long after you become a member. We moved most of our accounts to other local credit union and difference of service was night and day. Glad we are leaving.

If I could give them less stars I would. Today had to be another less then wonderful time going into this bank. Went to a teller named Ashley told her needed to deposit my check . She didn’t even listen to me . Asked if I had the statement for the check . Dang lady you need blood to. Just one thing after another at this bank. She was rude and not every teller that checks for things it’s the ones that have god complex Not for us whatsoever with her won’t be going back to her

We received an auto loan 5 years ago. In those 5 years, we never had a single issue with Mid American Credit Union. Every time I have called with a question, I was always greeted with kindness and a helpful attitude! When we moved from Kansas to Iowa, the process of setting the payments up with a different bank was seamless. My experience has been wonderful and would work with them again! Thanks a ton!

They have a horrible online platform that never lets me register an account. You can't get a small loan unless you have credit over 714, no matter what the down payment is. You can make a $25,000 down payment on a $30000 loan and they still wont give it to you is what there loan officer told me. So I tried to withdrawn my money and they told me I had to ask for it seven days in advance.
