This is the worst bank I have ever used, and this particularly branch in Oregon City is the worst. I have been treated incredible poorly by their employees and their branch manager, Leslie Ramsey. When opening my account, I inquired about check holds and was told it was a one day hold period with some funds released right away. However, they hold new account checks for 9 business days. While out of town for work, I had my co-worker deposit my check for me, but I didn't receive my money as I should. After calling around, it was determined that they would hold my check for those 9 business days. I spoke with Leslie Ramsey, branch manager, about this stating that this check was the only current money I had and needed it to buy groceries and fuel to get to work. Additionally, I had a very important payment I needed to make regarding my car that was already late because of this check hold. She said she would investigate it, but refused to release any of my paycheck so I could just get by. It has now been over a week since I got paid, and have received no money from it. The check cleared my employers account days ago, and so far no one can explain to me why I don't have my money. Leslie and her fellow employees at this branch showed no compassion and were brazen and rude to me. Leslie said she would get back to me in 48 hours, and I have still heard nothing from her and she hasn't returned my calls. I am infuriated by how this situation is being handled. There have been serious repercussions from not having this money available to me including late fees for bills, car getting repossessed, and being unable to feed myself this last week. Suffice it to say, I will no longer be banking at any locations, but caution anyone using the location in Oregon City. Leslie Ramsey and her team need to be mindful of how they handle situations and make sure they give out correct information. I feel they need to disclose to any new account holders about the 9 business day hold on checks regardless of someone going out of their way to ask about it. The fact that they don’t is shady and unprecedented. While I am still awaiting the release of my funds, I have been told it will be available on the 4th, the day before I get paid again. There were so many opportunities to do the right thing, yet Leslie and her team have failed. This has been a travesty for me and have sought counsel. My lawyer will ensure the parties involved are held accountable.

An absolutely horrible bank. Call help line and they say call the local branch. Local branch says you need to call the call center. Call back and there is a 45-minute wait. Oh, and if you want to electronically transfer money to another bank, there is a fee. Read up on parent bank, Paribas, and you'll see why you should avoid. A lot of better choices out there. A lot.

1st off let me start by saying I have been a bank of the West customer since almost the day they opened their locations in Reno Nevada; which was 18 years ago. I currently have two bank accounts, a savings account, a business loan, a business credit card and I process all my credit card transactions through this bank. Dave the branch manager at the kietzke ln branch has single handedly lost my business after 18 years. I will be finding new bank today. On Tuesday I went in to the Reno Nevada branch location and paid $9000 cash towards my business loan. Today is Friday and the loan payment has still not been posted. After speaking to the only helpful person that I have dealt with through this process (jennifer.. here in Sacramento ) I found out that when they made this payment they posted it incorrectly. I spoke to Dave on Wednesday to find out why my payment had not been posted to my account and he basically brushed me off telling me it would take several days and that was about it. Our phone conversation was 48 seconds long. Now today; 3 days later it's still not posted. when I've been trying to receive help regarding this issue he boldface blatantly lied to the Sacramento location. He told her that on Wednesday he told me he was looking into the payment and why it had not been posted but that is a flat lie. He brushed me off and told me that it would take several days to post and that's it. He talked to me rudely and condescendingly as well as lied about what he said to me. And my payment is still not posted and they're saying it could take another 48 hours to post. Considering it is Friday 48 hours really means for more business days. This is ridiculous and they have lost a customer

Supposed to have free account for small businesses. Still had a few hidden charges. They said they were going to refund my money. That was 2 weeks ago. And I'm still waiting for my money back on my free business checking account. I will give them one more week to make this right.

I called the Bank of the West on Academy Dr in Albuquerque to ask to transfer my money from one account to another. I was rudely greeted by Giovanni. His customer service was horrible! He was very rude and spoke to.me as if I was a child. I will be taking my services elsewhere.

First experience with this Branch has not been a good one. Trying to take out a large business loan from this bank and Olga has singly pushed me away and made me second guess this choice. I don't know about everyone else yet but they better be more helpful than Olga the stone wall customer service agent. Need to remove her from talking to people.

I opened a checking and savings account. I deposited money. Most bank will issue you a temp atm card until your actual atm card arrives. I was not issued one and was told they don't do that. Then I went to enroll in online banking and it said they had to verify my info and it would take 2-3 business days. What the heck! So at this point I have no access to my own money or see my money. This is stupid and makes me feel like I don't have control of my own money. This is not good customer service!

I have been with the Academy Branch for 18 years now, and even though I've moved all around Albuquerque, I have kept this branch. The staff have always been friendly, courteous, an have met my every need. Roberto has set up additional security to my accounts ever since I was notified that my data at Equifax was compromised. I highly recommend this branch of Bank of the West! They provide top-notch service!

I was a Bank of the West for over a decade. The customer service has continued to go downhill as the banking fees have gone up. Want to use another banks ATM? Bank of the West will charge you $7.50...to withdraw $20. Switching banks is a pain, so you’d be better off avoiding this place entirely (although the Kings Beach, CA branch stuff are helpful & friendly). Reno branch has botched or miscommunicated terms of every account I opened with them. The bank is consistently closed due to ‘system outages’. Weekly. And don’t expect them to call you back. Greater Nevada Credit Union is down the street, fee free, and they bank with integrity.
