Whenever I call in and talk to Kristi or Debbie they are always very knowledgeable in answering my questions! Unlike bigger banks, you don’t have to be transferred 5x to get help! Melissa is always helpful with questions on my account or card as well! By far the best bank in Osceola— hands down!!

As I moved around the state and banked at different banks, I realized how spoiled I was at American State Bank! Nothing is ever a hassle because everyone who works there is really good at their job and seems to love working there. The mobile banking and bill pay are the best I have seen. The interest rates on their kids saving accounts are not just competitive, but quite generous. Kevin has gone above and beyond for us time and time again with his time and expertise. Mellony is an absolute joy to work with. I’d be lost without Debbie and Sandy being just a phone call away. The whole team takes great care of the small business I work at, too. It is really special that the bank is locally owned. We are so lucky to have bankers of this caliber in Osceola. Their integrity and customer service are absolutely exceptional.

Couldn't get a loan WITH a cosigner who has great credit, because Ethan Abbot didnt want to approve it. He had horrible service with me, just because I'm a part time FEDERAL employee. He didnt even ask me for the loan term. He made the payments high enough that the income to debt ratio was JUST ABOVE what they would approve. He told me that I need to buy a cheap car like all the other mail carriers. I call disrespect on his part! Closed my account with them ASAP! Best decision in my life. Never again will I step foot in that facility!

Great customer service always when I call or go in personally. Melanie answered all my questions about our account. Sydney was very informative on all checking options when we started our checking account a year ago. I personally like that even pending charges are listed and subtracted from account total so you don't have to think about the "floating" payments from total.
