"No interest" may be true for the first 12 months, but you are charged a $48 origination fee that must be paid in addition to your balance as well as a $3.95 fee each time you make a payment (even if paid online). So anticipate paying an extra $100 (at least) on your balance before it's paid off. If your balance (including fees) isn't paid within the 12 months, you will be charged interest on the full original balance you financed (not whatever remaining balance you have). Called a few months ago and was misinformed by their customer srvice rep who advised me the incorrect amounts to pay so I had a nice surprise when I called to make my final payment this month. I won't be using GAFCO in the future with so many other options available.

The customer service reps are extremely rude to me on the phone and wouldn't let me complete my thought. I had to tell at her and state that her job is to listen to my problem and assist it fixing it. I paid my account in full in August but this company reported to credit bureaus that I had a balance of $2.00 and they didn't even report that the account was paid off they just stated closed which affected my credit negatively they definitely need more training in customer service and I WILL NEVER use this company

I really am shocked by all of the bad reviews on here. I purchased a bed at the roomplace and they got us set up through this company, as soon as I signed the papers I went to look up GAFCO and was completely blown away by all of the negative which made me really nervous with going through them. I stuck it out to see how things would go since I really did need a new bed and honestly I'm glad I did! If you pay your bill on time and track it constantly you wont have any issues!! I made payments through their automatic phone system all of the time with no issues whatsoever and when it came down to paying my balance off I made it clear that I wanted it paid (of course not in a rude way either like a lot of people) so the lady gave me my payoff and processed it with no issues!! It took a little while to receive my documentations that I paid the account in full but I did get them! So again, amazing place and I'm glad I went through them to get my furniture!! Thank you GAFCO!!!!

I have had 3 accounts with GAFCO. Two accounts paid in full within 90 days perfect payment history and returned a third time to have the worst customer service and billing issue in my life. I was over billed for furniture had to wait 3 months for credits, be charged late fees and had my 90 day same as cash revoked from me all because a billing issue between Value City Furniture and GAFCO. I SPEND MORE TIME CALLING THIS COMPANY THAN I DO SOME OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS ITS A COMPLETE JOKE!!! In March of 2019 I waited for a callback to be allowed to use my 3,000 worth of credit on my account which they placed a block on to be removed to buy a $160 tv stand. The block was removed and the purchase was made. Continued making payments as required and went in to purchase a $450 dining room set which I was unable to buy due to a block being placed back on my account. For no reason. I spent the next week calling every department everyday on the hour because none of these issues were my fault and I have also been a good customers so I couldn’t understand why I should be penalized for ignorance between two companies who clearly have issues with billing and communication. So I’m asked to wait for a call back from the collections Manager ROBERT LONG. Who I called for everyday until he called me back in regards to my situation. Once he called me he treated me as if I was stupid asking me questions like why did you not make the payment. I told him I made it clear I wouldn’t make any payments until my account issue were addressed. He stated he needed a few days to look into my account listen to the calls and will follow up with me. This is in regards to reinstating my same as cash for 90 days and opening my credit limit. When he called me back on 6/12 he stated that they would agree to reinstate the 90 days cash and that the billing will be addressed in the next few days. Today is 7/12 and it’s been 30 days and no resolutions have been made. I call in to talk to a customer account rep and he starts telling me a bunch of trash about how my payment was late in May and it was an amount that was never deducted out of my account. THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE!! So unprofessional and completely disorganized on billing, and customer service. I called back in and asked to speak with ROBERT LONG who gave me a bunch of excuses about how they are redoing there accounting. This is after he failed to remember the agreement he made and blames it on how he speaks with a bunch of different customers. Now he wants to follow up with me again. Has no response to why his reps are telling me bogus things about my account, BASICALLY HAS NO EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THEY CONTINUOUSLY DROP THE BALL!! LONG STORY SHORT!! Do not finance with this company it’s a disaster and even being a on time persistent loyal customer gets you absolutely no where... Just a bunch of frustration and headache on an account that reports to your credit that you will have to follow up to ensure your being protected and billed correctly! NOT EVEN WORTH A 1 STAR ⭐️ they lucked out because it’s required to post the review. Shame on this company as a consumer and a business women in the field of sales and billing! GET IT TOGETHER!!! ***Update 7/19/2019 I was to receive a follow up phone call from Robert Long on Monday July 15th. It is now Friday July 19th and he has neglected to follow up and handle my situation. I will call and make my payment as required but receive no customer service and be treated as if my situation does not matter. I will continue to follow up here just to show everyone just what it’s like to deal with GAFCO! **Update 8/23/19 Still have not received any follow up from Robert Long in regards to my account. It has now been well over 90days that he promised to resolve my issue and has not. This is the type of service GAFCO offers to you as a consumer. I called and LVM on his direct line that he gave me. Let’s see if he ever calls me back. P.S your new automotive menu options are garbage and now customer reps are no longer available for calls you have to leave a voicemail

Ashley furniture company financed a bed for me through this company. The company's website does not post your remaining balance so you never know how much you have to pay off. THEN when you call them no one ever answers the phone. Avoid at all cost.

To all those trting to finance thru this company....PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST. Wish there was a ".001 star" as a matter of fact....a 0 as rating. I know many of us don't have great credit but the customer service and interest rates are horrific. I had paid in full and somehow they started taking money from my fu***** checks... I had a huge headache trying to get to a representative. By the way, the representative was extremely rude and unprofessional. Talking to me like I'm her fu***** kid.... I understand you might really, really need a loan for whatever but try other agencies with at least some decency and accurate charges. The worst feeling is to be in need of money and these fu***** taking over 500 dollars from a check without even warning me!!!

i see alot of negative reviews, but i must say if your sales person was detailed about the purchase with the finance company i can assure you there would be no problems. My payments were never late the only thing i can agree on is that the balanced was not updates properly on the website. I called a few times just to be sure of my balance and everyone i have spoken to was very nice and helpful. Thanks GAFCO will do business again soon.

Do yourself a favor and do not do business with this company. They are not professional about servicing accounts in a timely and rational manner. Customer service reps are not truthful or not informed about their companys' policies. Just don't do it.

I bought furniture from value city and got approved for a promotion with this finance company. Big mistake. I spoke to someone in customer service LAST MONTH about sending a statement in the mail -- because I never received anything. Was told they only send pre-printed checks. They read back my address and it looks like they've been sending personal information of mine to MO and I live in MI!!!! It's been weeks, I have received NOTHING in the mail, even after correcting my address and confirming that the checks would be mailed out immediately. What a scam!! I need this fixed right away because your customer service department is doing nothing to help! I will be reporting this to BBB as well as FTC Bureau of Consumer Protection. I will also be getting in touch with my lawyer if this isn't resolved. I am not risking my credit for this fraudulent company. DO NOT CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH THEM.

I can't even begin to describe the experience I have had with this company. With the exception of one person, everyone else that work there seems to hate their jobs. They have reported an erroneous late payment on my credit report. I've contacted manager Robert Long today via phone and email requesting information regarding these "late payments" and have not received response to my request. Originally indicating I had a late payment in August 2016 I discussed this back in October still nothing has been done. They updated my credit report. Remove the Aug late payment and September late payment but arbitrarily added a 30day late payment for October and November! What?! Called them again today, I was told "they'll look into it" which was the same thing that I was told back in October before I'd never hear from them again. I'm in the process of trying to mortgage a home and this is holding things up. I could possibly lose my home! I'm filling a complaint with the Attorney general asap.

All I can say is Jeremy(Jeremiah) Saenz was amazing and acted quickly on my request. It is also a pet peeve for me when CS agents don't take the time to read notes- but Jeremy did and he even empathized with me on my situation. He is a very special/ hard to find agent. I also, would like you all to know that the agent I spoke with by the name of Julien on 9/22 was amazing as well..I mean Jeremy also knew what was going on because she took detailed notes which again is another plus. Please take care of these agents it really helps to have not just a pat on the back but true appreciation in the workplace and they deserve it. God bless you all!

If I could give no stars I would. If making any purchases you better have a lawyer look over the fine prints. I supposedly had one year free of interest but they told me I forfeited my contract because I made one late payment. GAFC went back on payments that was already paid some in which I paid more than the minimum payment and added 10 months interest. The customer service is terrible. The employees talk to in a disrespectful manner and the customers are the reason why they have jobs. I felt like I was literally robbed. Please do not do business with this place.

Worst company ever do not finance anything with them!!! So much hidden facts! Purchased from Ashley Furniture was told I had 12 months to pay off to avoid interest and also had a 10 day grace period. From my 1st paynent I made online I set up a automatic draft payment each month. My payment due date was the 14th the draft was the 16th remind you I had a 10 day grace period. My payment due was $87 I payed $125 each month to have it payed off in 12 months. So here is the underline issues. I made my last payment Feb 16, 2015, I didn't receive anything else until August 2015 ignored it cause I payed my item off in full September received another letter opened it to see there was a balance of interest. So here is what this scandalous company has done so all BE AWARE!!!! YOUR LAST PAYMENT is due 360 days not 365 to avoid interest, the 10 day grace period does not apply and every dime you spent over your minimum payment will go towards your interest you will not know anything till all that money has been used towards interstate or a monthly bill that you thought was paid off since again I paid $1500 in full in Feb thought my bed was paid off! Did not receive anything till August now November been told my balance is up to almost $600 and negative on my report! When asked why wasn't I contacted sooner it is because of my coupon book and I wasn't late untill August. WARNING DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!

I took over as Office Manager of a company to find out they are completely ripping us off! Please avoid them at all costs! We "leased" our phones for the office from them. Four years in, if I want to get out of this I would have to pay off the full amount of the phones. All the leasing payments over the past four years would not even touch a penny of the cost. I am out of words for this company. Someone from this company used my card to order from red snapper fish, WM supper center and WM store. $200 was removed from my card. The bank call to notify me about someone using my card in Illinois. I live in Michigan, I was in Michigan at the time. Never ever trivial to Illinois befor, I give my card information to someone at this company to make my payment, few hours later they used my card .Had to get a police report the next day after talking b to the bank. Never never again I wI'll ever come close to this company. I am hurt and disappointed about what happened to me.

Their customer service is a joke. Their contract states one thing while their website states another. I was given a FC for a payment sent on a friday on my final due date supposedly after 4pm. but my payment went out at 10 am and it wasnt processed until monday.!! Customer service rep apologized said she would fix since they were already charging me interest. Said she would call me back, it has been 10 days still no call back or answer from them! Stay Away if you can! If you are late once, they void the same as cash offer.

If I could rate zero stars, I would. I have a loan with a promotion for zero interest for a year. I set it up to automatically pay. They stopped taking payments without my permission and with no notice, and then they charged me interest from the beginning of the loan. Customer service was no help at all, just telling me that “I understand what you’re saying, I don’t know why that happened”, and trying to tell me that even though they don’t have any record of it, I must have set up the loan to only auto pay for a couple of months, which obviously makes no sense. They wouldn’t do anything to correct the situation. Basically, they didn’t take the payment so that they could charge me the interest and now they won’t do anything to correct it. Seems a little “fishy” (maybe illegal ??) to me.

I’ve called multiple times and have asked to get copies of past statements because I moved and didn’t recieve anything for the last 3 months. I don’t understand how a company cannot 1. Email you your statements per request or 2. Simply print them and mail them directly. Customers have a right to see what they are paying.. I can’t create an online account because my account number isn’t the format that your online system is asking for.. I was having an OKAY experience up until the last few months and the ratings here keep going down and down.. should have listened to the first reviewers from the beginning. Who is running this company and is so blind to the obvious issues that should be simple to fix if it was run properly.. figure it out GAFCO!

This company has the worst automated system ever. It asks for a nine digit account number but every piece of paper they have ever sent has an eight digit. They hang up without assisting you. I will never purchase a piece of furniture trough Hanes or ever finance with these people. They have DESTROYED my 780 credit!

I had them and paid them off way before my time so I did not have the fees. Well I look on my credit and see that they make seem as if I owe them. I have yet to receive my papers saying I own my furniture. This is the last time I do business with this company-they are scam artists and a terrible business. Used twice paid off both accounts same day they posted payment on same account and told me I was played off kept sending bills I kept calling and they kept telling me for 3 month I was good and paid off then I get Robert Long and am told I still owe 300 on loan all while I'm buying a house so just to get it off credit report I pay the 300 and request a paid in full letter which they sent and they send me a bill for 80 dollars 3 weeks later for interest on a interest free loan for a year paid off initially in 3 month and more in 3 more month. They say all their calls are recorded right.. Then why don't they follow their own word if they told me for 3 month it was paid and that their person put the money on wrong account how is that my mistake. Train your people better I believe I overpayed but did to be done with it and still want more horrible service .

I financed with this company through weekends only. The only thing I didn't like was the interest rates on their loans. I'd rather buy furniture outright then get financed you'll save much more money. Other than that no major complaints every time I had to call customer service with this company the reps always helped with whatever I was calling about including calling to pay my balance off or if I was inquiring about simple things.

I am very disappointed with this company and have never even used them! My bf and I went to get new furniture and I received 3 phone calls regarding our purchase within the first hour of being in the store. They were all asking the same ?'s and giving me info that was against HIPAA laws-since we're not married. They approved everything, we signed all the papers, left the store to get lunch-then received yet another phone call saying they re-nigged on the offer! We have decided this is an omen and will save the money before using credit.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I hate having to call them for anything. They cut me off repeatedly when I try to ask questions or express concerns. They negate responsibility and say to contact the store that sold the goods. Add to that, they refuse to help me solve their erroneous/excess charges. They also refused to send me a statement and payment history. At this point, I just want to pay off my ACTUAL balance. Their numbers just don't accurately reflect the true numbers.

I had an account opened for furniture in Sept 2018, when I got my first payment slip, I called the company and set up automatic payments from my checking account for the last day of every month. Jan '19, they took the payment out 2 days early, my bank rejected the payment. I called GAFCo the next day, and they did not show the payment rejected, a man by the name of Aaron told me to call back Monday. I called back Monday and he said the payment still did not show up as rejected. I called a few weeks later, still nothing, showing current. Called at the end of January and spoke to a female, she said the account was still current, I asked if the payments were set up for the last day of the month. She said they were for February, but the others were on various days. I asked her to move them to the last day of the month. She went month by month with me, verifying all of the payments. Fast forward to today, I get a call from Mr. Flores telling me my account is behind, and that my "zero interest for 12 months" has expired due to the rejected payment. I explained the situation and he told me the only way I could avoid the interest is to pay it in full today. I paid it off to be done with them. He noted that the payment didn't show rejected until 3/20 (a FULL 2 months later)!!! But this business is obviously set up to make people pay interest at any cost necessary. The zero interest for 12 months is a joke, and they WILL find a way for you to pay it. Buyer beware, I will NEVER do business with them again.

terrible customer service with this company. I financed a couch from Value city furniture through this company. waited over 5 months for the payment booklet..... I had to call 3 times to inquire about the payment book. When it finally came, the first payment was dated for 2 months prior. I called in for them to tell me that my first payment was late and that my interest rate of 0% for the first 18 months was no longer valid and that my new interest rate was 24%. so at that time i told them i would make the payment in full minus the interest incurred. they mentinoned they would removed the interest balance and it was paid off. THen 5 months later i go to purchase a house and this is showing as a collections account on my credit because there finance manager did not remove the balance. I called back in and waited an hour to get a manager on the line only for them to tell me that the full balance had to be paid..... This company is a LOAN SHARK! Avoid at all cost.

Does not deserve one star. The staff are rude and disrespectful! The managers are even worse! I spoke with"Mr. Medina" regarding an issue I had with their internet site and was basically told it was my fault, he would not remedy the situation, and stated why didn't I balance my checkbook sooner! I will definitely be closing my account immediately and warning any of my friends or family that tries to finance with them. It's a shame because I would have used them to get a new living room suite. They even had my new address on file and sent it to my old address I received the bill two days ago from November...

I was told that there would be no interest on my account until August 2019. NO MATTER WHAT!!! Even if i missed a couple of payments. Today (June 5, 2019), I was told because i missed a payment (May and I made it up today and made June payment as well) that ALL the interest was added to my account. I did miss a payment in February BUT i paid more than normal payment (about 5 months of payments) in March. This was the first phone call I have receive that told me if I missed two or more payments EVER, the interest will be added on.

Dead serious, they gave me a year interest free, they literally have the best customer service ever. I dont care what anybody says. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! If you do have to pay a high interest rate, well, everybody is the same basically, atleast these guys professional about it.

I now understand why there are all 1 Star Reviews on this company. I will not go into much detail, but I will state the facts. Getting involved with this company should be as a Warning for anyone trying to get any kind of credit or loan. I called in a couple of days prior to my payoff date and was told by the "Manager" there that only the interest would be put on after my cash is to date and explained completely not what I was aware of by this "Manager". I called in 8 days later to pay off the balance and was told a completely different amount by another associate of the company. It was falsified information over the phone and was told that it is all in the documents I signed and my monthly statements. I do not appreciate someone trying to tell me of their legal standings, and not of an actual customer of theirs. Now my final payment was doubled due to the "Manager" giving me false information and I will Never go forward with another credit instance or loan from them. The representative I spoke with knows now that they will be losing a very good customer and will not be accepting any offer of theirs. This has been a very disappointing experience.
