Never had a problem with them every time I call everyone is very nice and they work with me been with them 3 years now and could not ask for a better finance company getting ready to pay of my car and I would be more than happy to get a loan with them again they give me a second chance even after I had a repo with another company

These people are jerks I bought a Chevy trailblazer from BCP which I was screwed on I told American finance I couldn't afford to put a tranny in it I would bring it back to them apparently they sent me paper work from Court that I never got cause I moved I tried to work something out with corturney she's a total scumbag so they went after my check I called the Court the Court say they aren't in charge of lower the price talk to American finance so I call speak to that same nasty women corturney said you had Time to pay I said y'all never gave me amount you were looking for now there charge more then what I owe think they have a deal with the courts y'all people suck go choke on a marble corturney

I won't say everyone is rude and unprofessional because I have interacted with three people who were very helpful and professional. Overall, most of the people I have had to deal with are very rude and need additional training in customer relations.

They have been very fair with me considering my credit rating and history. They have been reporting all of my payments to the credit bureau. I would use them again. Im thankful they approved me for the vehicle I purchased.

The integrity is non existent I financed a car from addington a year later I'm going to change the breaks and find o have lock nuts on each rim, called the dealership and they said they didnt have the key to unlock the nuts, which means they've never serviced the tires to begin with Called american finance to explain they're financing cars that I cant even perform maintenance on and all they said was they will credit me 20$ if I find the correct key Never mind that my car was never serviced to begin with...they do shady business with a shady dealership this is the 2nd car I got that also had major problems in which the dealership and finance company essentially told me oh well you bought as is which is a very crummy business model I only reccomend using either if you are absolutely desperate but please take my advice go to a REAL dealership and a REAL finance company dont make the same mistake.

The worst finance company ive ever worked with!! Before financing my vehicle with this company I viewed the reviews of people stating they shut off there car for no reason when I asked the dealership they said its probably people not making there payments THIS IS NOT TRUE I have been with this finance company for almost two years now my payments are always a month a head of time actual when I went to the bank for a loan I used my payment history from this finance company to help with loan approval but now not only will I be finding a new finace company tomarrow morning I will be in contacted with the better business buero due to the way this finace company treats people they actually shut off my GPS on my car just because the people working there are so disorganized they cant tell when they have and havent recieved a fax from an insurance company which by the way the general insurance company had faxed them my insurance information over 13 different times and they CLAIMED never to recieve it even tho I called and verified it afterwards they shut my car off?? This place is a complete joke and they need to hire people who know how to do their job properly and can read a damn fax!!

Great company to get a loan from if you have credit problems the staff has treated me great and for those who say differently pay your loan on time or give them a call if your going to be late and they would probably work with you

We financed a car through American finance. The car wound up having a ton of problems with it. No one was willing to work out a deal on this lemon of a car we got stuck with. So we asked them to please sell it since it wasn't drivable and we didn't have the thousands of dollars it would take to fix it. They took it back sold it for 1300 bucks and stuck us with 8000 payment, more than what we bought the car for. They told us to pay 50 bucks a week for payments. Little did we know the 50 dollar payments were not going to anywhere but interest and we didn't find out till months later. It appears negative on my credit report, even though we worked out a better payment plan. We asked if they could report it as current since we were making faithful payments and have 4 other cars through them and have been extremely loyal customers. After asking them this they called shady to make such a request. If u ask me shady is making out on a deal like this. We are paying over 8 grand for a car we don't even have any more. They never give us a break on interests rates with as many vehicles we have through them. The one they made out on, was a 26% interest rate!! I do like a few people in the office who dont really have any say on this situation. The higher ups are extremely rude and no help at all! So now I will be paying 150/wk to get this nightmare over with!!! KEEP IN MIND We have 5 cars through them! Never missed a payment! Never extended a payment! Not even ONCE!!!! We are paying 8K for a car we no longer have. We paid down payment! Monthly payments while we had the car (about 12 months) 50 bucks a week after they sold the car (about 8 months).... Which none of it was going to the car! Hundreds of dollars spent trying to fix the problem before we gave back for resale!!! Our dealer did what he could. American finance made out on this deal for Sure! I will never recommend AF!

This is by far the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with in my entire life .. this company is crooked and try to get extra money out of you as if you don’t know how much you owe they call themselves giving you insurance for 90 extra a month but then tell you it’s not driveable Insurance weather you have it or not they charging you for their insurance I had a balance of 11.80 due from a payment and a week later they are saying I owed them 290.00 which I knew for a fact was wrong !

I've never had any problems with them. They're always willing to work with me if my payments are late. I think Communication is key. If they're constantly calling you and you're not responding and/or sending them to VM. Yes, there gonna turn your car off or repossess it. I bet that'll made you call them!!! But if you answer the phone and let them know whats going on and when u can make the late payment, I'm sure they will have no problem working with u. It's always worked that way with me!

Unprofessional! Brought a car from Holly Kia. Had valid car insurance from VA. Insurance company sent the declaration to dealership. Dealership sent me home with dealer tags not temps. American Finance calls me to schedule GPS install. Which verify that loan is approved! Dealership starts calling me about 4 days after I left lot asking for car back. They now wanted me to switch my insurance for Delaware Insurance. I informed them because my bank account is frozen I could not start a new insurance plan when my current insurance is valid and because I can't access the funds on my debit card. 3am a week and a day after buying car repo man shows up and takes the car. I have paperwork to authorize my use of car and dealer tags. There was no grounda for repo. Ask American Fiance for another dealer they deal with and they said they canceled my financing as a service to the dealer. They refuse to give me another dealer to go with. I will now loose my job due to loss of car!

Okay company to work with they do try to work with you making your payment. However they will turn your vehicle off if you don't respond to their calls. They turn my vehicle off for $22 which I thought was very Petty. But not recommend to anyone else

I can not tell you how much I appreciate this lender. I had a car financed through them and I wound up totaling my car. It was SO fast and easy to get me right back into a loan of a BRAND NEW vehicle that I love. They really worked hard for me to get the right loan at the best interest and payments. If you are looking for a great bank give these folks a shot!! Always a pleasure speaking with their kind and courteous staff as well. So thankful for this lender.

Don't believe anything these people say. After a written agreement with this company tgey still reported a negative to my credit. Even after they came up with the idea after my truck was problem after problem. Had nerve to sent me a loan recently after they said they would give me another loan after my finances got back on track. IT WAS ALL A LIE. But I was smart and kept the written agreement and I am pursuing them for what they reported on my credit. Don't do business with this company. Owned by a rich jackbutt who cares nothing about how his employees speak to customers. At the end of the day I got a loan elsewhere and a way better interest rate.

This company sucks. It's not about making payments on time or anything like that... I bought my wife the car she dreamed of a little over a year ago. We loved it. 2 weeks later we needed service,and not any service, major service, it needed a new transfer case. We notified the finance company and they recommended we call lemon law. Well we were duped by the dealer and ultimately our so called "warranty" didn't even cover our car because of the year, which we were unaware of, but the dealer took care of it anyway. Then a few weeks later we had an even bigger service issue, the drive shaft. When we notified the finance company, they wanted proof that we haven't been able to even drive the car (mind you, we still made payments.) At this point we had the car for a few months and never missed a payment even though we couldn't drive it. A few months later, the alternator went, then the battery (which apparently was never the right battery since we had bought the car) still making payments on time for a car that was in the shop way more than we could actually drove it. Then just recently, somebody broke into the car and stole my wife's purse. Everything was in there, cards, money, and the car key. American Finance said they didn't have the other key and to ask the dealer. The dealer had told us prior that the finance company had it. So my wife paid them $200 for a key they had ordered and programmed and had to drive over an hour to pick it up. A week later, the engine goes. We have kept open communication with American Finance on everything. They sounded on top of everything and concerned and were willing to work with us. Then what do they do? They take the car and payments are not even a full month late. Not to mention, we couldn't drive the car anyway. So -1 for our credit and f__k American Finance

Lauren Albanese turns your GPS off if she can't reach you, by her own admittance she will turn the car off to get you to call her even if you are not behind on a payment. If the car is turned off for non payment and you make your payment online to get current, the car will not turn back on. You have to call them and tell them you made the payment, if you do this after they are closed, your out of luck until they open again. The company they use for the GPS installed it wrong and grounded the wire incorrectly and because this it is causing all kinds of electrical problems. I asked what will American Finance do to fix this and they told me it's my problem and won't have the GPS installer come rectify the installation. The government needs to regulate these companies Update My vehicle is to be paid off in a month, Susan who was my account manager apparently doesn't work their anymore. Lauren Albanese takes my account back over and repo' s my vehicle. When I call and literally ask her What the f@#$, she throws this Google review in my face. They offer no proof of balance owed, every amount is only given to you verbally. I spoke with her boss and all he does is say um and say federal regulations. Even though I have been paying more then my payment amount owed for the last several months some how I am behind 40 days on my payments according to them. I truly believe Lauren Albanese repossessed my vehicle because I gave her a bad Google review and hold American Finance responsable.

I've only been with them for about two months but never any issues. I'm grateful for them giving me a loan and helping me get my truck. I make my payments on time and plan on continuing to do so. I think if you are making your payments on time you'll be fine.

TERRIBLE FINANCE COMPANY! They harass you at work and on your cell phone. Marcy is a pain in the ass. even when I made payments on my car she would call me every day to see when i would be making my next payment. They do not know what they are doing and need to be shut down. I wish I never financed through them.

I had fallen on rough times, I do feel I need to go into detail but alot was happening to me all at once . I ended up getting behind Jamie was my account manager, well she was an absolute delight, she understand that things happen to people and worked with me. She eventually got her manager on board with trying to make my payments lower monthly buy extending my payments by 4 payments at the end of my lease but it would also bring me current . Mind you my car had been turned off so I paid 200 to get it turned back on and another 125 a week later . Than 1 week later they came to get my vehicle no emails no calls to me nor my co signer . No nothing. The repossession manager Lauren is very unprofessional and quiet rude. She wouldn't let me talk to my case manager Jamie or her manager Brian to ask what was going on, the only thing she kept repeating was we couldn't get a hold of you so we came and got it ... She isn't answering any of my questions thats all she kept saying she informed me everyone was off that I previously dealt with which is a flat out lie . I am really disappointed in this company i wouldn't recommend this place if they were the last finance company in The world , she was very unprofessional and un caring about what I thought was already worked out .it seems like the communication is very off with all of the employees . The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing . I'd never heard of this woman and never spoke to this woman and for that im greatful she is the worst so called professional woman ive ever had to deal with. as I see on these reviews with that company and her arwnt good at all maybe i should of looked them up befkre using them you live and learn .I've already contacted my lawyer and the Better Business Bearu. I have proof ive been making payments and ive never received Any communications from them which again I have proof of . Oh yea and The mail still runs too , you so poorly educated woman. You made ,and ,continue to make an ass of yourself and the compnay that continues to let you act like that. its sad that hard working people who don't deserve to be talked to or treated the way you so rudely handled my account . A lot has Changed.I really Thought Highly of this company at onetime,that is up until they wouldnt approve me for another vehicle. I had paid of the very first auto loan from 2014 and was ok,then I go and get a van for my wife in 2016,paid that off successfully.Anytime I ran into a problem,I would call the company to keep them informed,when they called me,I answered the phone. It's always good when your having problems to call the company it is you owe money to.Now I will tell you that I was late a few times on this last loan and that was towards the end of the loan,due to my wife getting into an accident and her not working,we were never 30days late,the worse was maybe 20days late,we paid a late fee which was no big deal.To me that's a small price to pay to get a little more time.ANYWAY,Things started looking up for us and we decided to get another car,we went to the chevy Dealer and got a new Chevy and we used the van that was being financed with American as a trade in..After about a month into the new car,I decided that it was kind of small and with the 4 kids I have we needed something big.I went to go look at a suburban and wanted to buy it,I thought I could go through American financial again because my credit is a little rough because they supposedly help people with problem credit,not to mention that I've already proven myself to them,not once but 2 times.They never had to knock down doors for me to pay what I owed.not to mention on the very first car loan I had with them,after it was paid off,I called them to get their company to come and remove their GPS from the car because it was paid off,they dragged their feet doing it,so I was nice enough to put my time into it and remove the unit for them and then drove over to their office and gave it back..These people dont care about the customer..But anyways,So I put the application in for credit and they turned me down..I couldn't believe it..The reason they turned me down was due to credit problems..lol so they dont help people with credit problems like they claim,that's is false advertising..not to mention I guess it doesn't pay to be a good customer with this company in the first place,they have to appreciate the little man before they can help us..Any company that's not a family oriented one who values the working man,will flimflam you and could care whether they help you or not..I currently have an oil company,as soon as I start seeing profits,I am gonna go and see about starting up a financial company,I will show these people how to treat a hard working Consumer..Not to mention they can just ask customers at my oil company,they will tell you that I value each and everyone of them If any of you have been wronged.Call the BBB,contact the FTC and see if maybe even the Delaware banking commission can even direct you where to go..my complaint has nothing to do with the financial aspect,my complaint has to do with advertising and also the fact that us little guys dont mean anything,especially after you've proven yourself.So to me it seems they are now PROFILING CONSUMERS,because actually my credit is better then what it was the last time they approved me & they tell me it was credit problems that got me Denied..My credit has improved for the better since 2016 when they last approved me.something isnt right!!Maybe they just dont have the money to lend and could be possibly going under and just isnt telling anyone.Really that could be the best thing for us all is if they would just go under and close their doors,they are helping the little man..so "F" THEM....JUST BECAREFUL AND DONT TRUST THEM!!

This is a predatory finance company, they start harassing and threatening you with repossession if ur payments 1 day late and will repo your car if payments not made within 2 weeks, I have another car payment been late 30 days late never even a phone call as long as I pay it No problems. This company preys on people with bad credit I've even had to chase the tow truck away when my payment wasn't due for 2 weeks! If ur buying a used car and the name AMERICAN FINANCE pops up do your self a favor run for the hills or find a different finance option, these people are as dishonest as they come.
