Provident is the worst mortgage lender. We were accidentally short 12 dollars in October 2018 because of an escrow error. They declined the payment, had us go get our 2,000 dollars back from our bank and charged us 70 dollar late fee. Very simple solution, ask for the human error of 12 dollars. For November, I mailed a check. They “never received it” and charged me another 70 dollar late fee. Do NOT use this company as your lender. They are corrupt.
