The best value this county offers. They deserve so much more than they receive in funding and benefit from our use and support. The library desperately needs a new facility with adequate parking and this county and city need to find a way to provide.

They have a very vide verity of books. Their staff are very nice, and their service for audiobooks and DVDs is amazing because some libraries don't even have audiobooks.

I grew up going to this library and so has my daughter. We love the children’s section. What I don’t love is the area. Poor parking options and the front steps always smell like weed. Charleston police really needs to crack down in this area especially when so many children visit.

The Kanawha County Public Library occupies a classical building in downtown Charleston, West Virginia at the corner of Capitol Street and Quarrier Street. It has an extensive collection of books and DVDs. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

Impressive movie/DVD collection. I snagged some foreign films which are otherwise very hard to find. Good staff. They have lots of fiction as well, but nonfiction is sadly limited.
