The staff was super friendly, I love the layout, and the noise some people have complained about is really a non-issue for me. There are plenty of really nice areas scattered around the library to study (frankly, if you need it so quiet as to hear a pin drop, you won't find that at any public space, and the Richland library is no exception). I, however, find the din of the ambient noise oddly comforting and can lose myself in my research or reading fairly easily despite the occasional whine of a blender or a child. While I am not much of a coffee drinker, I appreciate the aroma spilling out from the cafe into the rest of the library, reminding me of home and leaving me with the feeling that I am welcome. In short, I love the Richland library for its hospitality.

Very loud in here for a library. When I asked if there was a quiet place for me to study they were rude and dismissive. Wouldn't recommend studying/ reading here

These 1984 Orwellian acolytes block Liveleak. Welcome to your perfect Utopia of Richland public service.

Beautiful building, friendly staff, lots of study spaces. I wish they still operated within the local library system. It would make for a better selection.

Friendliest librarians and staff. I prefer this library to most others in the tricities. Although if you're looking for something other than books to checkout than the other libraries seem to do better. Its clean. Very quiet. Great upstairs and downstairs study areas. Coffee shop, and lobby, along with a friend's of the library book store. I heard you can get bubble tea there.

An amazing place altogether. The coffee there is great but I would rather go to other places such as The Coffee Bean. Not yo mention, I never see anyone who gets a coffee here. They have great staff and help you with your every need, from finding books to checking out a line of people when the checkout machine breaks. They also have an extremely large computer lab. Infact they have two of them. One is designed specifically for kids, and the other one is more centered around adults. They have an astounding a.ount of events all the time, most of them directed towards kids. This can range from competitions from just a adult sitting down and reading a few stories. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

The library is full of useful books. The areas of the library are good for studying and/or relaxing. The computers are helpful if the use of internet is needed.

We love books...but it's just not the same as the old library we grew up with...we miss the *actual* story circle... The staff is super nice and helpful *and* they even have a decent manga section. Now if they could only get more 360 games...and get rid of that stupid café...it makes the entire place smell like a Starbucks.

Abraham Mendoza

I love this library. Clean and modern looking. There is always a space to get your work down. The lobby area has a coffee that makes the entire experience awesome!

A beautiful building with lots of natural light let in from a large amount of windows. It has a Jude selection of books, both fiction and nonfiction. It has free, fast wifi, and lots of computers for web browsing. There are also many soft sofas and armchairs available for reading or whatnot. There are about five large wooden tables with wooden chairs for studying or doing book work. The librarians are very friendly. The bathrooms aver very nice and clean. There is a cafe, but the prices here are very high.

This library will accomodate any student. Its large solid wood tables, electric plugs, reliable wifi connection and plenty of natural light make this location a good study place. You can also book a study room. Its first come first serve, they let you book it for 2 hours and if there isn't demand you may stay longer until someone requests it. The study room has a large white board and the library does provide dry erase markers. It has a large table that sits four people.

Beautiful Library! Very Modern and Spacious, helpful staff, lots of great places to sit, and even play chess! There's 2 stories so there is enough quiet places that you can sit at and get into a book.

Amazing space with such modern design utilizing natural lighting to make the building vibrant. Architecturally, the connection of the modern and retaining apart of the old brick building is magnificent. The space feels open and welcoming to the members of the community, from small youngsters to the seniors. The space is an anchor in the neighborhood but more importantly to the people of Richland.

Richland Public Library has many awesome study tables upstairs with plug-ins which are perfect for laptops. HOWEVER just below the upstairs area is a coffee shop and the ladies talk and gossip so loudly all day that it is impossible to get any studying done. There is also banging of dishes, and the blender (which are intermittent and obviously can't be helped, so not as big of a deal as the constant loud talking). I love the layout upstairs and the tables are perfect - without the coffee shop it would be the perfect place for studying. But because of the constant talking and noise from downstairs which echoes loudly to the upstairs, this upstairs area is useless and there's a reason the study tables are empty.

Emma Mitchell

It's extremely loud with the coffee shop and there are only 2 study rooms which cannot be reserved, even if you are standing there. The "quiet area" echoes with the sounds of the blender and the three women who were working when I was there all had attitudes and rolled their eyes when you walk to the counter.

Best place to study, little Cafe inside too is great

The loudest public library I've ever used. The only area with decent tables for doing normal library things (reading/studying/researching) is upstairs. And the upstairs area is an echo chamber for the coffee shop downtairs (loud), shrieking children in the lobby (louder), and gossiping library staff (loudest). What a joke.
