Location is easy to find with a nice parking lot straight across a one way street. Seemed to be well organized and offers a great many services from checking out books, movies, CD's, or a quiet area for study and research. Computers available on both adult and children's sides. Self check out, available, story times for kids, events, restrooms, and a great and helpful staff. My kids were able to get help finding books with ease and had a good time. Looking forward to seeing what else is offered throughout the coming year.

This usually is a very pleasant place to take my 3 year old son 2-4 times a month for toddler storytime, and to check-out books for our nightly bedtime reading sessions. But a nasty woman named Betsy (shorter, darkgreyish haired woman) "helped" us twice today, first to return books then to check-out books. I had simply and nicley asked her which books I still had out, found out I had one book still out, ok no big deal, then I asked if I had accumulated any fees.The experience wasn't great, she wasn't personable at all and would interrupt me to "answer" my question which wasn't what I had asked her. She started talking about a book on tape that I had out too which someone was waiting for, ok I had it in my car and brought it back into her. My son and i were helped by a very kind librarian to find a book he wanted, great, time for check-out.. i brought her the books and gave her my card. I asked if she could re-new the book that is still out, and jokingly said, "i want to advoid fees you know." She basically grimaced, was short and said in a VERY condescending tone, " I already did that for you, that's what that receipt I gave u was for!" Theres more to that interaction that I dont remember, but Dude! My blood instantly began boiling. Never had I ever been treated like a sewer rat covered in feces before. It's something u had to witness for your self. That's when I began getting short with her, and explained she never told me, I was just making sure. That's when i asked for her name, she proudly gave it to me and I left. I do not startle easy, or get angry easily either. I understand that in this country people are very entitled and think they are better than others, so I do understand customer service isn't great at most places, but COME on!

I really like going to the library, but there are so many books they don't have. They should become a Skagit Valley Library system instead of a city library. And then I'd be happier and rate it 5 stars.

HUGE selection of books, of all kinds, with a bus stop (with a bench!) right outside. However, it's important to note that returning a book does not eliminate late fees, like in the case of some other libraries.

Great selection of books, but the kindness of some of the staff is lacking. Have visited many, many libraries as I have children who are avid readers. This is not one of our favorites. I don't get that warm, inviting feeling like I get at most libraries. Maybe the location plays a part in that as well.

Wife and son go to story time regularly, also the special times they have for babies and toddlers are awesome! It is awesome to see them invested in our child's learning!

Love this quaint, nice little library. I went there for story time 20 years ago as a little girl. Only thing that's changed (through no fault of the library) is there are always people loitering around the entrance/parking lot that are definitely not there to go to the library. Some seem to be prowling and I have seen out and out drug deals in the parking lot, others are just rude and smoke cigarettes in front of the doorway. Just make sure you lock your vehicles when you visit, would be my only word of caution.

The library is a little old, but very tidy. I really like their children's section. It was huge, and I felt completely safe while my youngest son explored the multiple aisles of non-fiction books. Callie, the librarian, was very helpful and friendly. Thanks, library staff

Staff is reasonable, kind, and knowledgeable. Good selection for variety of things. Parking is a little rough. Not really sure if I'm allowed to use the parking across the street, but I do anyway. Great place.
