After reading the review from someone who feels the staff are unfriendly and not welcoming I felt I had to share my very different experience at the library. I find the staff to be friendly and welcoming and happy to chat for a moment. The nature of the circulation desk is that the staff are not just sitting there waiting for customers...they do other things so sometimes they are a bit preoccupied but I do not take offense at this. The library staff see many many people and there are lots of people who are there often. While it would be great to be remembered by name I think it's asking a lot to expect that. Also, I think there is still a "culture" in libraries of trying to maintain a somewhat quiet environment so that may be part of it too. I think the library and the staff are great!

The staff could not have been nicer. The online resources are great.

I love this library! I have never had an issue with any of the librarians. They are always sweet and kind to my family and I. A wonderful staff!! Plus, the book selection is pretty great. They often have new releases not long after they first come out. I couldn't ask for a better library.

I am an online student and decided that I wanted to change my learning atmosphere, so I thought, a library would be the perfect quiet environment, but after today's experience, I'm not so sure. Firstly, the Library itself is gorgeous. I appreciate the architecture. I adore the historic interior, and there are a plethora of books and ample study places. Honestly, my only critique is that between the staff talking loud wherein I can make out their entire conversation from the opposite end of the room, and side conversations held between other library goers wherein I can recite verbatim their dialogue; it is noisy. While I don't like to base everything solely on one experience because I understand that this may not be the norm, I do believe as though it is worth noting in the event this the standard for this library. Also worth indicating is how friendly and helpful the staff is. I will finish the week to and update with any new or changing details. Overall, Fletcher Memorial is indeed, a beautiful library.

The library has been rather noisy at least a few of the Russ I have been there over the past year or so, which is annoying. It's a library, so you would think people would assume people are trying to study or read and that they want to focus. Other than that and my personal opinion that there are not enough current music or horror books, I think that is a pretty good library. :-)

I really like the library, they have very worthwhile events. The real Gems are the employees such as Barbara Shatara who is knowledgeable, freindly, and helpful person. My only complaints are: I have problems getting in and out with my wheelchair and there is only the one place to exit. It is not that there is no incline/ramp but for my style chair it is to tilted and it makes me feel like I'm going to tumble over. I also would really like it if they had more quality Astrology books. I feel that there should at least be enough reference material to be able to cast a chart in the libraray. Not all people learning this subject are able to buy quality software or the expensive textbooks A must is Planets in Transit by Robert Hand, and the March and McEvers series are real necessities. Also to have the magaizne, the Mountain Astrologer would be very helpful. This is an ancient and relavent science and people need their tools.

I have a 3 year old daughter. So there are many reasons why I bring my daughter to the library. In my daughter's lifetime, she will exposed to so much technology, I want her to know and love books, reading and librarys. They have a great children's section. They have great programs. I could bring my daughter there everyday, for a different events. Depending on our schedule, we do try to go a lot. We go at least once a week. But on average we go 3 times a week. My daughter loves it and I bring her because she does. But... If it wasn't for my daughter, I would not go at all. The main librarians, not Megan (from the children's section) are horrible. Everytime I check out my books, they have never once said hi or hello. They don't look at you, they look through you. They are so elitist and condenseding. I literally avoid getting books, so I don't have to interact with them. If my partner is with me, I make him check the books out. I have been bringing my daughter for over a year, on average 3-4 a week. The librarians are still as rude as ever. Not once has any of them said "hey weren't you guys hear yesterday,.. hi,... Nice to see you... Hello,... How are you". Never have any of these basic common courtesys been used towards me. In fact, it's quite the opposite. I don't feel welcome. I don't feel like I'm part of a community. I don't feel like they have any concern for myself or my daughter. Out of all of the places I go, this is one place where they don't use my daughter's name. This is after a year. Please do not include Megan in this review because she is awesome. She actually knows my daughter's name and uses it. Megan is awesome and excellent with children. Megan is the reason why I gave the library one star instead of no stars.

The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The Library itself is a delightful space to be in.

Libraries are always special, this library has a large open space, there are loads of local events here for the community. You can barrow yard equipment which is awesome, they have free WiFi and computers to use. Not a lot of private/quiet places in this library but other than the the staff is what i call "Elite Librarians" that keeps the nostalgia of a library active.

Great Place! Lets you check out lots of books, staff are helpful, lots of options, and weekly events!

This is a really nice space to work, study, or read at. The library also has quite a few workshops. My favorite feature is the garden tool rental. They have most anything you would need to grow and maintain your garden and tool rentals are free!

Despite using a vpn, my internet activities were hacked via wifi. I logged into the wifi and then downloaded the vpn via the wifi. I cant figure out why a person would want to hack into my internet activities... i wouldnt use the library's wifi or desktop computers.
