This is one of the top genealogical libraries in the country! Staff is extremely helpful and their collection includes more than you might think.

Leo Fromage

Very nice small library near the medical center.

Mildred Boyd

Kyle Sherrill

One of the premiere genealogical research libraries in the US. The librarians are also extremely helpful and love history.

Georgina Salazar

Wow, what a great resource for learning about history! I took a class there today and was very impressed by the education and support they provide, also. Highlights include access to genealogical databases, equipment for digitizing personal photos and slides, and a ton of books I never knew existed, such as family histories, accounts from people who were enslaved, and guides to getting genealogical records from other countries. I'll definitely visit again soon to find information to share with family and get inspiration for writing our own family story.

A treasure trove of Ancestral knowledge. I’m talking about the attendants. They help you with any and all questions and researches.

Diego Verano

Good place for studying and reading

I really like studying here and it provides a nice setting with ample seating. However, it seems as though the librarians are more louder than the patrons. When they walk out of their lounge and begin talking to people, they have no respect for others who are reading or trying to focus! They are sometimes inconsiderate of how loud they really are.

J Fletcher

A beautiful, quite place to study and work. Absolutely lovely..!

Carl Darnell

The library was quiet, well-staffed, and the patrons were considerate. It is low-tech, but doubling as a genealogical center, it has all the technology it needs: large work spaces, lots of copy machines, and good lighting.
