I love this library for quiet study time. The quiet study area remains quiet 99% of the time. It helps me absorb my college reading assignment lesson information in an ideal atmosphere. Thank you for caring about your patrons.

My place of refuge and peace

I love this library, although I don’t go to libraries in general anymore, because I recently got a new printer and stuff. If I ever run out of ink, I come here and there is no problem as I print out my stuff, I also come here sometimes for research on school projects and many other things. This place has all you’ll ever need for school projects, research, printing, and just as simple as a quiet place to study without any distractions. You can also rent out a computer to use too. I love this library, and I wish I had more of a use for it, but whenever I’m in need, this library never fails to help me out.

Worst library I've been to in Rhode Island. My 14 month old was having fun playing and we got yelled at twice to be quiet in the span of 5 minutes. It's the children's room! What do they expect?

I love the Silent room- You can do all your work so peacefully with undivided attention. For students- it is one of the best places to prepare for their next day classes.

I love my Cranston library. I use the computer, go to art shows and other activities. I met Robin from reading with Robin fame at a presentation. Buy used books for my personal collection. Staff gets the five stars. Always helpful and except for one male staffer always friendly. He had a disgruntled attitude.

The library has a poorly thought out set up, placing the public seminar room opening into the silent study area, as well as reception desk directly next to the study area, where phone answering is done loudly and with no regard for those working nearby. Security is overzealous and rude, making excessive, noisy rounds in a mostly empty building and interrupting those studying to rearrange furniture. I had my personal items on a second chair and she gave me a problem about it, despite the fact that there was plenty of seating available. On another occasion, she interrupted my studying to inform me that I was in the "teen area" and would need to move at 2 pm if I was 20+ years old. Despite being in my early 20s and looking as if I could very well be a teenager, it was 1:30 and I had not yet violated any policy and had plenty of time to leave. I found it rude and annoying. Furthermore, people infiltrate the silent study area to read newspapers, causing a page-turning ruckus when they could easily be seated elsewhere in the library that does not cause so much disturbance. Perhaps security could address this seeing as she is so eager to find things to bother people about.

My kids and I are in love with the library. Usually, we going two or three times a week. Perfect and quiet place to study and to spend a good time with the children.

The staff of 2 in Childrens. room are not child friendly at all today. My son and I took his 4 year old Twins here today. As the twins were happy and excited and ran a little bit they were yelled at by the 2 woman staff there. Then the twins were playing in cubby house and touched knobs on wall and the 2 woman staff immediate told them dont touch the knobs and playing at the table with puzzles with excitement and the 2 staff shoosed them. I also witnessed a 1 to 18 month old baby in the cubby holes playing and with excitement the baby made a coo noise and was told to shush from one of these staff woman. This is not a child friendly childrens Library at all. My son and I wont be bringing back the Twins here at all.

Nice library but the reason that I only gave 3 stars is because the security guard lady is paranoid.
