Its the best Library ever...whole staff is so nice and courteous. They will go an extra mile to help you in any way they can. Kids programs are so many and they all are very good. My both kids just love the library. They just don't have more than 5 stars here otherwise I would have given 10. Its the best library.

The "SHALER NORTH HILLS LIBRARY" is 1 of the BEST Library Systems around. It ACTUALLY puts the "CARNEGIE LIBRARY" in PITTSBURGH to SHAME! My Kids Grew Up going to SHALER'S Library, using it to CHECK-OUT books that they NEEDED for HOMEWORK, ESSAYS, BIO'S on FAMOUS MILITARY HEROES, PRESIDENTS & HISTORICAL FIGURES & MOMENTS like Pearl Harbor, The DROPPING of the A-BOMBS on JAPAN! My Wife & i use the LIBRARY a lot along w/ OUR OLDEST DAUGHTER, HER HUSBAND & OUR GRANDKIDS! The GRANDKIDS love READING BOOKS! Our GRANDDAUGHTER AVA'S reading the J.K ROWLING "HARRY POTTER" Books! My Son-In-Law & i TAKE OUT their DVD'S, which they have a GREAT SELECTION! My Wife READS ALOT & LOVES their Catalog of Books! She IS a HUGE "STEPHEN KING" Fan & always Checks Out 1 of his books, when it becomes AVAILABLE!

This library is truly amazing. There are so many great prograns and events geared towards every age. The staff is the kindest most knowledgeable understanding and patient group I have ever had the good fortune to encounter. This library is without a doubt one of the most valuable parts of the community.

Well-sized library with an extensive selection of books for kids and adults, movies, and CDs. All of the librarians are very friendly and helpful. The library also hosts multiple events ranging from book sales to movie nights. It's a staple of the community that seems to be faring very well compared to other libraries in this day and age.

This is my absolute favorite library. It really is a beautiful community. The staff are all wonderful and the sheer amount of (free!) events happening every single day for kids and adults alike is astounding. This is a place where everyone really cares about you. The selection of books is great, there are public access computers, there's plenty of cozy places to sit, the building is beautiful and holds many old secrets, there is a HUGE play area for children, and the general decor and feeling of home is wonderful. This is a beautiful place and I love it.
