This branch is close to work, so I've been here a few times. The new release section (right when you walk in) is up to date. Otherwise, not the largest collection

It's a busy, welcoming library with a friendly, helpful staff. They make changes to improve services, which is really nice to see. For example, they recently moved the reserved books to a section that makes them easier to find. It's not a quiet library because it is so very well used by the community. Everybody comes here, all types, and that means its a positive, welcoming space for the public. It's especially well used by children and their families and caregivers from the Asian community. I wish it was a little less cluttered, that's my only complaint but that's a personal preference. A lot of users like a library crowded with stuff!

It seems to me that a public library is in the business of preserving the dignity of its patrons. This library does so, but at the expense of its own dignity. The noise in this place is altogether undignified, with librarians nearly shouting, patrons disregarding the many bi- and tri-lingual signs declaring the space a "quiet zone," and few seemingly abother by the racket. Lastly, this small nave of learning offers no space for escape to the solitude necessary for the reading of continental philosophy, or really, reading at all. If books are your prize, this branch has decent fruit. But if you are looking for solitude or silence, this library suggests one best look within oneself.
