Great environment. Always top notch entertainment, and current and upcoming stars are always on the schedule.

Doug Fritsch

Place was a dump. Left before show even started. They also search you at the door for weapons - demeaning.

Elizabeth Keating

Hal Homler

Nice intimate venue. Will call/ticketing is disastrous and very unorganized.

lori mellish

Beautiful facility with knowledgeable staff. Additionally there is the athletic facilities, an indoor pool and amazing Music Hall which hosts a variety of music and comedic acts throughout the year!

Denise Walker

I saw Nightwish there.

2019 0727 great people great service great dvd

The library itself is beautiful Went to the music hall for a concert. Very intimate all things being equal however they significantly oversold general admission. GA was also standing up front so anyone sitting up front can't sit and watch, which makes "front row seating" absolute garbage.

Very helpful n dedicated employees

I was eagerly anticipating a concert at this location for months. The performance was amazing, but that was in spite of the terrible venue. The stage lights only worked for half of the concert. Someone kept turning the main lights on and off all night long. The acoustics and sound mix, at least from where I was sitting (seventh row in the middle), were awful. And the old wooden seats aren't a place you want to spend too much time. The appearance was fine, but who really cares about a nice looking place once the concert starts?

It is a nice venue. The seats are a little small.

This is a really neat, beautiful old library. We came to see a show here in the auditorium they have, and it was a really great time. It did get a bit warm with all the people in there (it was in the summer and quite hot out), but I would definitely return.

Rhonda Killeen

Beautiful reading room. Gorgeous library on the hill. Busy on the Wednesday morning that I paid a visit. All the computers were in use. I do love to visit the local public library wherever I travel. I felt like I hit the jackpot when I bought a reusable bag with the Carnegie Library of Homestead logo for $3!

Beautiful place, bathrooms are a little lacking, seating is tight for taller people. Very quaint little place.

Patrick Brazell

I love seeing shows here. It's a beautiful venue that also has a we bar. The building is very old and you can tell that the people who run it take great pride in keeping it beautiful, in spite of some rather ridiculously low ticket prices. There is no parking and the sound quality could be a little better, but I'm not docking what is clearly a venue from the 1800s, for those minor drawbacks.

Philip Messer

Cramped in row C: I can't fit the length of my cell phone between the front of my seat and the back of the seat in front of me . Makes airline seating look roomy.

Kelly Haney

Robert Stahl

Pat McAfee show was awesome, but this place is terrible. It was 80 degrees in there sitting on bare rock hard wood for 3 hrs

E G

Beautiful venue. Extremely uncomfortable seats in Row C with a great view of the stage. Left the show early - my feet and knees were numb, because of being jammed into the wood seat in front of me.

Toby Parsons

I just have to say ,I couldnt of dreamt of a better experience, I was there for squeeze ,,and the hospitality couldnt of been better!! The folks at stage ae need some lessons from you guys !! True professionals from start to finish! A nd just about everybody's a volunteer! Thank you all for a wonderful experience, I'll remember for a long time

Mark Markosky

Terrible place to see a show. The utilities ( electric, heating cooling) don't work right, The sound company they hire ruins a lot of shows. This place used to be great. No money has been put into the place and low bid won the sound job. Stay away from this place

joel Gibson

Beverly Belkowski

Wonderful place to see a concert. Old venue - relatively small intimate setting for a concert

Stephanie Gula

Great auditorium and so I happy Bobby Bones was here!

Sam

Great library with a wonderful helpful staff, with plenty to do for the whole family.

Daniel Klein

The library is pretty, but there is a small auditorium here which has featured some fantastic shows. There are no bad sight-lines anywhere, and the acoustics are very good!

Sherri Hertzog

Always helpful staff, friendly . Lots to do !Check it out !

Ashley Watkins

Gorgeous historical building, and they really bring in some great comedy shows! If you plan on sitting in those seats for more than 30 minutes, bring a pillow for your butt! I'm not kidding, you'll thank me later!

Claire Juozitis

Lots of great memories here. I've seen several shows at this venue and it's always a delightful, intimate experience. It's not flashy like Stage AE or Consol, but it's authentically Pittsburgh.

Never again

The Goods: Venue has charm, the volunteers are very nice and the its not very hot inside. The Bads: Security, way too much. I felt like I was going to a public city school right before I was off to prison. The Drinks: boring, have a a couple before going and maybe only grab a beer inside. The seats, I had read previous reviews and planned ahead by bringing sweaters to sit on. Otherwise it was an okay location. I may go again depending on the show.

J Nunyabizio

For Carnegie Music Hall.. Seating is tight, bathrooms are a joke, low class neighborhood. Also witnessed several overzealous security jerks completely hassling some fan across the street. Totally uncalled for from what I saw.

Lee Karr

Absolutely awful experience at the Jeff Goldblum show on Thursday, February 14, 2019. What kind of venue sells tickets with views like the one my girlfriend and I had to deal with? You can see from the photos what our view from the balcony was. Somewhere behind the incredibly large obstruction is Jeff Goldblum. We didn't see him perform, but we could hear him. I spoke with someone at the entrance about our seats, but they couldn't do anything about it. I contacted the Carnegie Library Music Hall box office and was informed I'd have to contact Ticketfly. I contacted Ticketfly and was told to get lost, no refunds. If you're going to have an obstructed view you should let ticket buyers know this before they purchase their tickets - I paid $140 for these seats. This was a Valentine's Day gift and to say that the evening was ruined because of this would be quite an understatement. Apparently customer service does not exist with Carnegie Library Music Hall or Ticketfly, their ticket provider. I've attended shows at this venue in the past: Goblin, John Carpenter, Marc Maron and never had a problem until this event. After this there's no way on earth I'll ever support this venue or its ticket provider again. Disgraceful, I feel like I've been robbed.

Really historic Venue. Cool theater. Only drawback is parking is bad.

Rachel Burns

Been here for a few comedy shows and a concert. The seats are not the best and the service for a drink is dreadful haha but the shows have all been amazing which makes up for the seats and slow service. The place is beautiful as well. Can get pretty hot inside so dress for comfort!

M Robson

This review is for the Concert Hall, not the library. Attended the live taping of Science Friday here for public radio. Also attended a Blackberry Smoke concert here. Both in May 2018. Tickets are quite reasonable. Very intimate venue No bad seats. Sound is good but can be a bit loud for a concert. Volunteers man the events and are very friendly. Reasonably priced beer, wine and drinks are available. Seats are wooden and are very HARD...bring a cushion. Can get a bit warm. All parking is on-street in the neighborhood that surrounds the library, but is free.

John Kaminski

Historic local performing arts venue with an wonderful nostalgic ambiance. The venue really has no obstructed seats. The volunteers are friendly and always willing to help you. I recommend this place if your evening out and artist performs here.

ved white

Shady neighborhood, but pretty cool place. Great to see live performances.

Tony Noble

Cool old place full of surprises.
