I absolutely love this library and go here all the time for my books. The only problem I have with this library is the location. This is quite possibly the worst location for a public library. Federal Street is horrible. Full of crack heads & despicable people. They even have a store right up the street where you can buy a pre-made crack pipe. Let alone the projects are right up the street. If I was to build a public library I would know better to of built it there.

This library is a community resource and provides great services to the residents of the Northside. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The library exists to support the community and its members, many of whom rely on its services for basic access to the internet, books, and educational programs. If you live in the Northside, be thankful for this library!

This is a terrific library in a beautiful newer facility, with lots of natural light. The staff are incredible, very dedicated to the community and helpful to all. They offer a lot of resources for the community, including free yoga classes on Wednesday nights.

The library staff is wonderful and completely accommodating. We visit on a weekly basis and will continue to do so as long as our schedule permits. The children's area is clean and wonderfully engaging. So many things to do and keep the littles occupied for long stretches of time.

This is a small, but very well managed branch, staffed by the *most* helpful and courteous folk. The location?...is perfect. The area benefits enormously from the services the library provides. Libraries are for the public, and the location of this one is perfectly chosen to serve a community which would otherwise be without. If you are afraid of African Americans or people who rely on public services for day to day necessities, then...shame on you. For all others, this library is a gem!

Beautiful building, very Safe environment. My granddaughter attends the art program on Tuesdays. They offer a lot of great programs for Adults as well as, for children.

This library stinks! is the dirtiest library I've ever seen, I couldn't even find a clean table to sit my notebook on. I am new in town, so, they wouldn't allow me to use the wifi because I don't have a Pittsburgh address. Never seen anything like it before. Don't think about reading anything there, you couldn't. OH! and you have to pay to park in the worst area of town!

Marie PrettyCool Chick said it just correctly and as it is. The location of the library is indeed horrible and despicable. And, right underneath her a so called "Google User" hopped and jumped like a troll just to contradict her and to try to undermine her genuine description of what is what. I reported "Google User" for offtopic trolling and deceiving the public.

I’ve been to this CLP two or three times and the service is exactly like the one offered at the main branch in Oakland. Big library with thousands of items to be explored. In all of my visits I haven’t seen any discrimination by the staff or users of the space.

Doesn't provide parking, so be prepared to pay for street parking. Not very quiet.
