My family visited this little library while staying in Bridgeville for a week because it was a short walk from our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to find it had a lot to offer! It's one very large, long room (with a smaller room, for meetings and events, I assume) but has a great selection of books and DVDs and is very welcoming to families/children. There are wonderful nooks to snuggle into with a book. There are lots of toys and activities for kids of all ages. My children spent hours here. They were able to play games online, build with wood blocks and play with diverse community character dolls, American Girl brand dolls and their accessories, a fabulous play kitchen area that's loaded with imaginative items, puppets, crayons and printed coloring pages were readily available on a table by the children's area and my oldest grabbed a game to play (Jenga, I believe). There was a weekly movie night but we didn't make it to that and multiple Storytimes for young children. The librarian leading the preschool story time we attended was very good with the children and gave them plenty to do (singing songs between stories, engaging the kids and painting after). All of the staff was very polite and helpful.
There's a lovely outdoor space too, which we took advantage of for picnicking. The kids ran back and forth in the grass. There is a train track below/behind the library, so be watchful and don't let children go into the woody area and wander onto it.
This library was a wonderful place to visit and pass time in a positive way.
