Great place for adults and kids! They have story time for children,summer reading program and computers for children and adults. They also have toys for children to play with in the children's section. Staff is always helpful with anything you need. You can check out DVD's for adults and children and they have a wide variety of movies to choose from! Its all around a great place. My daughter and I visit there frequently!

Decent little library. Tends to have a lot of vagrant and homeless people there. Usually quite everyday library.

I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I needed to reserve a room for a community event and they went out of their way to help me. Way to Go Ladies of Shawnee Public Library for your efficiency and friendliness!!!

The female staff of this library are extremely rude. Not only have they been rude to me and my then-pregnant fiancee, I overheard them being rude to other patrons as well and even taunting a guy on the phone who was frustrated that they ignored his request for a certain book. They begin rushing people out of the building well before closing-time and they dont care if you have to change a diaper on your baby. They are extremely bossy and rude and if it weren't for the fact that I needed the faster download speeds for genealogical research, I wouldn't go there ever.
