Very nice place to study. If you need a quieter room, try going down stairs. It is a better place to read and study (usually)

I forgot the two wonderful and kind librarians (one was Jackie), but they went above and beyond for my kids to help the get the books checked out. There were issues with my account and my kids were getting impatient, but the librarians were great and engaged my kids and talked to them and they loved it. Thanks so much

Every DVD that has ever shipped from this library has never worked - if it is a children's DVD, it will usually have a HUGE ring around the disc and it will never play and always skip. This library needs a disc resurfacer to fix their discs badly.

I was always very surprised at the books and movies that they had. This is the place to look for rare and obscure, or controversial. This is by far the best library in the Columbus area.

This library is nice with lots of natural light. However the staff haven’t been the friendliest nor have they had the best attitude. One woman who works at the “help desk” was especially snarky to my sister and I when we last visited there. I hope this can be improved upon for better service. I am disappointed because it’s a nice place to study, but with unfriendly staff like that I don’t see myself coming back.

This was probably my first stop after moving in to my new place 3 years ago. The staff is beyond nice here- everyone! The woman who signed me up for my library card, the media desk worker who helped me with my printing questions, Sherry with my interlibrary loan request, and the lady who allows me to book the theater for my phone job interview. I have a loud cat at home and didn’t want him in the background, so when I called to see if I could book a room last minute, though all the meeting rooms were filled she gave me the auditorium to use. I love this library, they have a great digital book selection and when I come in to print I kick myself for ever going to FedEx Kinkos which is more expensive. They also have great book sales which I usually find something for my nephews and godkids at a beyond great price. It’s really nice in here and when the power went out on my street, I was able to work from the stacks on my laptop and not be disturbed. Great library!

With interlibrary loan, I can obtain any book, even from the 19th century, if needed for research. The personnel are always very helpful and friendly. The library offers many presentations on a variety of subjects. Best library - visit it often!

A wonderful and helpful staff, and a good selection of books. I just wish they wouldn't spend so much of their budget on travel guides and cook books , and buy more science fiction titles instead !

The Upper Arlington Public Library has one of the best reference departments in Central Ohio. I periodically visit other libraries in central Ohio but I have yet to find a reference department that is as thorough as is Upper Arlington's. I am often able to find the information that I need without any help but there are several times each year when I am unable to find the information that I need so I will contact the Upper Arlington Public Library reference department for help. At times, my question will be to ask how to find the information myself but I often I will ask my question directly; the Upper Arlington Public Library reference department provides consistently superb service. I remember researching the history of a building at 2468 Northwest Blvd. [that currently is a Crimson Cup Coffee Shop and previously had been a Caribou Coffee]. I had remembered that building having been a Sohio gas station many years ago and had been wondering when that building had been built and when that building had become a Sohio gas station. I contacted the Upper Arlington Public Library reference department with my question; several hours later, they e-mailed to me a scanned image from a 1948 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map and a scanned image from the minutes of a 6-17-1940 meeting of the Village [now city] of Upper Arlington Commission. These two documents had corroborated my recollection that that building had been a Sohio gas station and also had told me when that building had been built. If you are having difficulty finding the information that you need, I strongly recommend contacting the Upper Arlington Public Library reference department.
