Nice. Newly remodeled. Always have events going on for adults and especially children. Up to date technology. Tablets and computers for children along with puppet area and play area. Love our library!

Went to do the library to do some school work, couldn’t cause it was loud and no where to sit due to a band being there????why is there a band at a library Urgh

I enjoy going to the Salem Public Library. The library has a kids section downstairs, away from the teen/adult sections. Upstairs is very nice. The library has plenty of places to sit, read, do homework or read a magazine. They have a good selection of books and magazines and a great selection of digital media. Three areas where I feel the library falls short: (1) notifications. I received my 1st notification several days after the books were due. I would like Salem Library to send a notification sooner (2) I'm accustomed to a 3 week check out period, at Salem, its 2 weeks. (3) Salem library is an independent library, there's no reciprocity with any other libraries in the area. Overall, it's a very nice building and invites a calm, relaxing atmosphere.

The Salem Public Library is a great place to enjoy a good book or to work in a quiet and peaceful setting. They have made a lot of upgrades in the past year and now offer more activities for the community. Me and my family always enjoy our trip to the library and always leave with a few books and movies in hand! The children’s department is also a great places to find books, puzzles, music, and games. They have interactive computers and an iPad tech wall which my kids love.
