Favorite library in Columbus at the moment. Staff is very friendly, and they have plenty of spots to sit and study. I like to study in the lower floors of the building, but be prepared to bring warmer clothing because that reference section can get pretty cold. They have book sales on a pretty regular basis, and they are located right next to some lovely shops on High St. I definitely recommend this library.

I love this library! Libraries no longer have the old card catalogs but the computer knowledge that the librarians share is very helpful. This one has some great art and quilting books.

nice amount of resources. great kid book and movie selection. but the comment stating its turning bummy isnt too far off. seems all your high street hillbillies and bums are finding their way there and to the computer area. i havent been personally bothered though. still the place to go.

We love this library. Everyone is helpful, lots of technology, it’s bright from natural light, and the first time I tried to leave the children’s area, my child cried. We also love the baby chicks in the spring!

The best library in town that's why it's rated five star library. It has all the sections for toddler to adults. The best I liked was the kids section and it's playroom. The story time is the best as it has songs, dance, reading books and everything.

Worthington Public Library is Eager to turn you over to collections after only 3 weeks of attempted contacts via e-mail ONLY!!! When the “no fine policy” was introduced it was presented that the only consequence of overdue materials would be a hold on your account. We do not work at the library so therefore do not visit daily. Furthermore, we have more pressing issues in our life than logging into the library system on a regular basis. There were two items we had checked out that got placed on our bookshelf and went unnoticed. The library was somehow identified as spam by my filter so their three email attempts were not presented. In addition to my email The library has my home phone number and home address but opted NOT to call! Only to turn over to collections for two miserable unremarkable items. Michael J. Dudley

For these reasons it is self-evident that in a fully #enlightened view of the vital interersts of the great powers and of the samaller we may conclude that: To establish and maintain order the .... To perpetuate ...If this is done ..Great read! #havefun #ingressplay #WalterLippmann

Good community space, but not good for getting stuff done. When I brought up the issue of people (including staff) being loud, I was told it was not a "shooshing library." People don't need to walk on egg shells, but some common courtesy toward individuals who are reading or trying to concentrate would be helpful. They haven't figured out how to strike a balance. I'm guessing they'll say: use a quiet room, but there's very few.

Excellent library and fantastic staff. They go out of their way to make sure you get what you need, and to be friendly. If they do not have something it comes in via inter-library loan in a quick and reliable fashion. Excellent staff, and beautiful library.

Amanda

A great library. Lots of resources here to use for free. I'm happy Worthington had such a well kept library.

This is my favorite library in Columbus. I definitely give them 4 stars

Great Library! - Location: Very decent. It's right by a Kroger. You can get a book and then get groceries. We all know lines in Kroger are like a small hell on earth, so if you stop by the library first you'll have a novel or two to knock out before you’re finally able to check out. - Service: Fantastic. All the ladies that work here are very kind. There may be gentlemen employees there, but they must be so far and few that I've never seen them there when I go. Alternatively, maybe they hide the men in the back. For all we know there could be a secret library war where Worthington branches are trying to hide their men from the library giant known as Columbus Metropolitan Library due to their benefits? I don't know this for sure, but it is plausible. - Costs: Amazing. You can rent so many books at no-cost. In fact, you can keep books beyond their renewal date and go without fines for an indecent amount of time. As a qualifier, I don’t say this from experience. - Bathrooms: Terrific. For the most part these are kept clean, safe and tidy. I’ve never been at this library and had the issue of coming inside the library and being overwhelmed by malodorous scents lurching from the bathrooms. As a man, my judgements here only extend to the men’s bathrooms. Based on how most things in reality work, if the men’s bathroom is clean and quite descent, I would assume the women’s bathroom is at least equally immaculate if not superior in all aspects. The men’s bathroom could be vastly improved by hiring a gentlemen to stay in the bathroom and provide peppermints, spritzes of quality colognes and other advice that would benefit young and old gentlemen alike. - Carpeting: Underwhelming but sufficient. The carpeting here won’t pop out at you and amaze you like the KoolAde man and then brusquely say, “Oh yeah.” It is colorful but not necessarily artistic. This leaves some room for improvement. This could be improved by carpeting the floor with Andy Warhol or Picasso style prints. Marilyn Monroe prints all over the floor could inspire flare and imagination. - Variety: Excellent. This library has a sufficient grouping of various categories of literature. I have not looked, but I am confident one could find things as less known as Germanic Renaissance Gotho-Romance novels. - Comedy: Perfect. The staff here is so polite and open minded that they’re willing to even laugh at my jokes. For example if I made the following comment, “Has the officer finished booking you all? It seems he’s done a thorough job so far.” I’m confident I would get polite laughter that’s neither insincere, condescending nor done out of pity. - Free 5-Star Food: Poor. To the best of my knowledge, they unfortunately do not have top tier chefs on standby waiting to serve you premium free food. If all libraries did this, who would ever need to cook and buy groceries??? This could result in a great many savings and decrease the cost of healthcare since people would be eating healthier and free which would lead to less stress.

Love this library! Great for reading and studying. Only problem is that only one Liberian will ask patrons to take phone calls or loud conversations to the lobby area. Pretty annoying when you're trying to read study or get work done and a person is sitting beside you or across the room on the phone...

A great library in general. It's got a unique and fun layout, though it's not the biggest library, since it is jammed in downtown old Worthington. We love taking the kids there, and it's a relaxing place with lots of windows. Staff is great

I am member of Public library and usually visit Worthington Park Library for books, Dvds and other work, but had some documents to be Notarized after 6 pm, no one was available at other libraries so took appointment at Old Worthington Library, Jannifer Maier helped me with the Notarization, she was very polite and helpful. I am very satisfied with the Notary service.

Sheila Campbell

I have loved the library for 30 years.

The Worthington Library is top notch! I love being able to reserve online and pick up at the drive through (NW branch). There is a wide variety of programming. They have a wide variety of old and new books, taking care to be very inclusive in their selections. There are so many services offered from applying for a passport to borrowing jumper cables.

I really enjoy the mix of traditional relaxed feel and very responsive staff. Changing the media used,( bundles, downloading ebooks) to respond to community needs and functions is exactly nailing your mission. I also tell people they can go ask the staff real research questions, how to access job information, use computers, make a resune. thanks guys, Craig Regala

Great staff. It's also a great place for kids.

Worthington is home to the finest public library in America.

I've gone to the Old Worthington Library and it's one of my favorite places to spend time which speeds by like crazy while I'm there. I've noticed many who don't look like locals, but from the wrong side of the tracks, so to speak. But what better place for them to be than a library. The personnel treat me better than those at many retail outlets which are motivated by profits. Only my wife gets a perfect four star rating, but I'm giving the Old Worthington library 4 stars after half a century of attendance, beginning at the building on the building located on the northeast corner of High St. and Granville Rd.

Favorite kids section!

Impossible to accomplish anything here. This is my third and final attempt to use this facility as no staff members find it necessary to enforce people to be quiet. A library that's not quiet? What's the point? I have headphones in for an online class and hear multiple people talking OVER the instructor. To the staff: figure it out. The concept of being quiet in a library isn't a new one and I'm astonished you make zero attempt to enforce this.
