Staff talk a lot and loudly. Very chatty among themselves, laughing and making a lot of noise. What happened to the culture of quiet that is predominant at other community libraries?

I like this Library and that staff is always nice and helpful but the one complaint I have is it’s too da*n cold in there!!! So cold that I’ve had to leave early because I could not take it and so cold that I can’t go back until they do something about it! I had a sweeter and coat on and was still freezing to death! I’m not the only person who has said this. I hope they handle this issue because they are losing patrons!

They have a wonderful kids section that has puppets, toys, rocking chairs, and etc. The story times and all the different activities offered for kids are excellent, but get crowded, so get there early! We live in Pinehurst, but paid for a membership to support the library and to also check out books. Thank you for being a fun library!

Great place and also has an electric car charger. Facilities are well maintained and they have a good variety of books, movies and magazines as one would expect. Great place to study

Good selection. Great activities for both children and adults. Very helpful staff. I have been a member of a library in every city I've lived in and Southern Pines is at top of list!!

The staff is great and very helpful! You have to have a Southern Pine address to become a member. A good sized library for the population size of Southern Pines.

I live two miles away from the library so I’m required to pay $30 A MONTH to read books from this library. No one should support that nonsense. Knowledge should be open for the community. Donate to a library that actually cares about the community.

Wonderful facilities! Plenty of workspace (with outlets) and two, small private workrooms. The facility is basically one great room so noise can travel from the Registration desk - a pair of headphones easily blocks all noise. For non-residents a six month library card is $30 (annual is $60). They do have a small collection of honor books for non-members. Of course, entering, using the WiFi, and reading books there is all free of charge! This library does not allow ANY food or beverages - even coffee. They allow water bottles with tight screw on lids (I’m sure there is a story but I didn’t ask). Overall, I’ll continue to work here to get a change of pace every now and then. Highly recommend the facility. The staff are wonderful!
