Pros; The staff here are very helpful, polite and efficient. The Hoopla and Libby sites are amazing and every library should have them. The Hoopla site lets you download a movie for 3 days, no going to a library, no returning! It can all be done on your phone or mobile device! When ready to check out - use the Bibliotheca machine, swipe your card and materials in a flash!. Cons; First off the parking is too small for such a large county library. It is better to park across the street in the town parking lot off of West King Street. More parking places and easier to get out. The material in the library is limited because it does not share with all the other Orange County Librarys. It shares with the Carrboro branch and a thing called the Carrboro Cybrary. The Cybrary offers access to computers, books and programs. The DVD collection could be better and more extensive. The library can become noisy at times, making it difficult to find a chair to just read. There needs to be more comfortable areas around the library. Pros: Staff, Hoopla, Libby, Bibliotheca Cons: parking, selection, noise All in all, I recommend this library.

A fabulous library. Disagree with the person who wrote "not as good as Chapel Hill"; it's better. Why? Quieter, more peaceful, helpful librarians who will find, order, interlibrary loan anything you need quickly, very new so all facilities are pristine, pretty, parking in the parking plaza right next door; and it's in Hillsborough, which is preferable anytime. Love this library.

Great library. The library is fairly modern and very clean. They have several different books to hide in with a good book or work. It is easy to log on to WiFi on a personal computer, or use one of the library’s public computers. I highly suggest using this library.

Staff is super nice and selection of books in house and online is great. The physical library is set up stupid though. Circulation desk is right in front of the door along with the detector so there’s not much room to walk around or stand in line at the front. In addition because they have separate areas set up for various demographics, despite what the catalog says there’s no guarantee the book you’re looking for will be in the location you think. Library system also needs updating. I dropped a book off in Carrboro branch and it took over a month to update at the main branch so i got flagged for late books making me think they were lost or something.

Love this library. My family and I visit probably twice a week. There are so many books for young readers. It's one of my daughter's favorite places to go.
