My dog literally ate a book that is 7 years old and likely has never been checked out by anyone in the history of the library cause who reads about starting non profits anyway, so the lady thanks me and states that the libraryreserves the right to buy its own books like theyre something magical when the same book brand new hardcover is 25$ cheaper. I literally could have bought the book brand new and not wasted my time checking it out. Brutal policy doesnt account for depreciation of their products. Everything there is a brand new book evidently. Highway robbery is what is is.

Been going there on-and-off for years. Great place to study in the back room which is a quiet room. Never had any problems and staff is always nice. Someone often checks the quiet room to be sure no one is on the phone or anything.

I'm walking out of the Cumberland County North Regional Library on McArthur Road full of joy!!! Thanks to Ms. Catherine Edson at the front desk. I wanted to give her the biggest hug but was afraid I would squeeze her too hard. I've been searching for years for a specific author that I enjoyed reading when I lived on Honeycutt Road back in 2004 and I suffered with insomnia. I would visit this specific library quite often. I moved to another State and visited other libraries, even tried Google. She asked me certain questions (ones that previous librarians have asked) but 3 mins later Ms. Catherine Edson was bringing me what I've been searching for all these years. Thank you again!

The staff, they are awesome when helping adults. They are little harsh when speaking with children. If a child doesn't understand something please try explaining to them, don't scream at them. They have feelings to.

This is a wonderful library. I bring the kids often and the librarians are always willing to help them find the books they are looking for and suggest others they may enjoy. Great design and layout, lots of places to study, including a super quiet room. There is an area specifically for teens with a comfortable seating area and casual vibe. The library has great programming for all ages and last I checked they have regular programming for children with autism who have different sensory and language needs. Thankful to have such a great library on this side of town.

This is the most racist library I've ever been to. After my wife and I began to visit this location on a daily basis to get our work completed, the treatment of the staff became to change. At first we gave them the benefit of the doubt, but afterward, we realized the truth. Over a period of 3 months, we were excessively monitored by the librarians when we'd go into the quiet area to work despite there being a guard on staff. We'd catch them spying on us through the book shelves as we'd work in other areas of the library. When we'd look up at them, they'd quickly run off and pretend as if they were doing something else. It felt like being followed around a store because they suspected us of stealing; but at a libary. When we'd greet the librarians, they'd often ignore us. We seen the same behavior applied to other black people and we realized it was racial. We were never confronted about misbehavior and we've always respected the libary rules, our neighbors, and the environment inside and out. But most of the staff on the floor, including the manager, made us feel like criminals. This particular branch has allowed their racial prejudices and bigotry to spill over into the work place. After writing to the director and having a phone talk with the library manager (M. Campel) and a higher level staff member, they basically said it was "our perception" of the matter and refused to even acknowledge that anything of the sort could have occured. The staff members involved denied any behavior of that sort. For that reason, I won't be visiting this branch anymore. I don't feel complaining to the manager will change anything (when it happens again) and the manager is responsible for the culture. I hate racism and I hate the lies they use to cover it up, but I know there will be judgement for these crimes against black people soon. I believe in God's judgment of matters like these. I forgive them and I'm just glad to warn them of the divine judgment that's coming if they don't repent. God loves all people and I hope racist people like these would allow God to change their hearts. People, don't allow racism to go un-filed, file it, and talk to the manager. Nothing will probably be done, but at least they can't say no one told them about their crimes when they're rejected from entering Heaven.

Great library. The staff are friendly and helpful. There’s a large selection of books to choose from in the adults, young adults, and children’s sections. There are a lot of books to help with different types of research projects for school as well. There’s plenty of outlets by the tables in the back, so you can plug up electronics. There’s more than enough computers for community use and there are two large printers.

I always have a lovely visit when I come the North Regional Library. The staff is polite and helpful. They keep the facility organized and clean. The are adding new technologies when they can. The kids section is a good size and tucked away from the Adult section for those of us who might need some quiet time to study away from home. Wifi is acceptable.
